ZTE BLADE A602 recovery img file - Blade General

Hey!
Do anyone know if there a recovery or TWRP file for the ZTE blade A602?

Hi All. I would also like to know if there is a custom recovery TWRP image for my ZTE Blade A602 running Android 7.0?
Thanks for help Greetings Werner

TWRP is now available for Blade A602!
My friend @Linux4 made TWRP 3.3.1 for ZTE Blade A602! It is pretty stable but it has some bugs:
- MTP, use adb push/pull
- Data Decryption (can't mount)
Important:
- Before you restart to system in first TWRP use, flash the dm-verity ZIP or the System will not boot anymore!
- If you want to root, please use SuperSU, Magisk will softbrick the Device (stucks on Splash and reboots to recovery)
- Do not flash official update.zip in TWRP. Idk why this happens, but the system is a bit corrupted, so use Stock Recovery (TaskSwitcher dead, lags and more)
- Format FRP doesn't work, but we'll make a FRP Bypass-ZIP soon.
If you are interested, i'll make a Debloat ZIP for A602. If you find bugs, please report!
Because this is my first Post, I can't send links, so i'll post the Links to a Telegram Channel (you can still view even you don't have Telegram):
t.me/a602_twrp_dl

Hello xda-developers,
Thanks for your response. My ZTE Blade A602 2017 for Germany (Android 7.0) is soft-bricked after a bad flash. Currently I have access through sp-flash tool and fastboot commands. Because I had no TWRP recovery on my ZTE Blade A602 I was not able to get a complete backup. So I am also searching for ZTE Blade A602 firmware/stock rom in Mediatek (MTK) SP Flashtool format. Do you have any help therefore. Can you also tell me where to download your mentioned TWRP 3.3.1 custom recovery image?
Thanks for help, Greetings Werner

Hey wlink!
If you have access to your Stock Recovery, flash the stock update.zip. If you have Telegram, I can send you the Link. I'll add Stock ROM Link to the Channel.

You have to enter t.me/s/a602_twrp_dl in your Webbrowser and then download the latest Build from Mega. But do not flash stock Update.zip in TWRP, the system will be corrupted, idk why but I also provide Stock Recovery on Mega Folder!

Hey,I dont know if u found the answer yet
TWRP can just flash unofficial rom
not official rom
if you want official rom
you have to use oem recovery...not twrp
I m look for answer too...that is all i know
TWRP can install both Stock Or Custom Roms...it is based upon the update-script...
I had an issue where I could install any of the cyanogenmod 13 nightly updates past June 14th on my phone, a ze551kl. I resolved the issue by updating to the OEM ROM 21.40 from the Asus website. Hopefully this is helpful.
I downloaded the following files from the?*Asus website and copied them into the?*SD Card?*of my phone:
- UL-Z00T-WW-1.16.40.763-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-1.17.40.1234-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-21.40.1220-1615-user.zip
- UL-Z00T-WW-21.40.1220-1794-user.zip
I then used fastboot to install the stock recovery image. After installing the stock recovery, I rebooted into recovery mode and installed 1.16 and restarted the phone. After the phone booted into 1.16, I rebooted into recovery and installed 1.17, etc . . . until I updated to 21.40.1220-1794.
After the last update, I replaced the stock recovery with TWRP and l was able to install the latest nightlies. It seems like installing 21.40 was the key to fixing this issue.
An important side note : I downloaded the WW ROMs because my phone is a WW region. If your phone is from a different region, you will need to download the appropriate ROMs.
Good luck with your phone.

I will recommend you to first upgrade your Android version to lollipop with latest firmware version ww-3.24.40.87 .
After upgrading, root your device and after that unlock your bootloader.
For rooting method, search in Asus zenfone 5 forum.
And for unlocking bootloader you can visit this link below-
https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone-5/general/guide-how-to-unlock-bootloader-safely-t3562640
After unlocking bootloader you need to flash the TWRP Recovery. You can unlock bootloader and install twrp together in just one click. For that just visit the above link provided.
Now I'm assuming that you have rooted your phone and also your bootloader is unlocked and latest twrp is installed. So now head over to "Android development" forum of zenfone 5 and search for Resurrection Remix 5.8.2 by tank0412. This ROM is stable and also the developer is providing weekly updates.
I hope that this will help you out.

Yes. T00F and T00J both are same.
Just download it from official Asus website.
Just remember your SKU which is ww, tw, or cn.
To check your SKU, go to settings - about phone - and there check which firmware you have officially.
If you have WW firmware then you have to download ww firmware from the Asus website.
Eg. WW > WW
TW > TW
CN > CN
I successfully rooted and unlock the phone.
I failed to update the firmware.
My phone build number (KitKat) is that ASUS_T00J_WW_user_2.22.40.54_2015......
I downloaded and tried to flash the firmware UL-ASUS_T00F-WW-3.24.40.87-user
While updating it shows an error message,
Please use the right SKU for updating.
Please guide me the firmware with right SKU for my phone.

If your phone is rooted and you have successfully unlocked the bootloader with TWRP installed then now you are ready to install the custom nougat ROM. No need to upgrade your android version with stock firmware. Just proceed forward and follow what I'm saying -
Click here to download Ressurection Remix v5.8.2 nougat ROM
Visit the above link and download the RR ROM.
After downloading the RR ROM, now you have to download the GApps Pico 7.1 x86
Put the downloaded ROM zip file and GApps zip file in your external memory card.
Now steps for flashing the ROM -
1. Reboot to recovery.
2. Go to Wipe section - Advanced Wipe, and then select the cache, dalvik cache, system, data, internal.
After selecting the above, now swipe to wipe.
3. After wiping, go back to wipe section again and tap on "Format Data", and type "yes" and press ok.
4. After formatting completed, go back to main screen and then go to Install section, and locate the ROM zip file. Select it and swipe to flash.
5. Now your ROM is flashed, so go back again and select the GApps zip file and swipe to flash.
6. Now flash the SU Addon (If you want the root access) (OPTIONAL) If you don't want then you can skip this step.
7. Now your ROM and GApps both are flashed, so now go back to main screen again and then go to reboot section, then select "REBOOT SYSTEM"
That's It. You have successfully flashed the new nougat ROM.
First boot will take approx. 5 - 10 mins.

You cannot flash nougat ROMs with twrp 2.8.6 ,.... As you will end up with several errors so better switch to latest twrp I.e twrp 3.0 xx versions by xanwar . after that you can follow juyels method of flashing the ROM .
Download the twrp version from below link .
1:If you downloading zip file then flash through your old recovery and reboot to recovery .

Code:
fastboot flash recovery <filename>.img
Link for latest twrp : here
Dear Friends,

ZTE Blade A2 Plus Rooting( SuperSU or Magisk),Recovery & Flashing Stock Rom

Hi there, good to see you.
After struggling to find any helpful information about rooting ZTE Blade A2 plus, I finally was able to root>soft brick>hard brick>stock flash>repeat this beautiful device. So thought to share it here so that it becomes helpful for someone in need.

Step 1: Install custom recovery (We'll install TWRP)

b} Download Scatter file
c} Download SP Flash tools
d} Only tick recovery and preloader and select the downloaded files and flash it
e} When the process finishes and SP flash tools displays done, remove the phone and press "Vol Up+Power" to boot into recovery. It may ask you to make /system writable if you want swipe as indicated
f} Done enjoy
Note: Take this opportuniy to first of all backup your stock rom using TWRP and save it elsewhere.
Step 2: Rooting (With Magisk Or Super SU)
a} Download Magisk or Super SU flashable zip as per your need

Conclusion: I'll be very happy if this information proves useful to you in any manner and also request you to must share your backup for me to get VOLTE back.

Status of TWRP with Android 10 on Mi 9T

Hey
So my bootloader unlock wait time is coming up tomorrow, but this forum is not giving me much hope as all I can see is problems with TWRP constantly being replaced with the stock recovery and general incompatibility (recovery loops or bootloader loops), no one seems to know which of the 10,000 versions of TWRP and OrangeFox (????) recovery to use.
Can anyone clarify what the situation is with Xiaomi Mi 9T or is this phone doomed and its just worth throwing on eBay (a phone without custom recovery and root is absolutely worthless to me).
Thanks a plenty!
Hi!
"TWRP constantly being replaced with the stock recovery"
=> That's nothing to do about Android version: It's a Xiaomi/MIUI boot protection feature. Some TWRP flash a modified VBMeta image, at first TWRP boot, to disable this protection.
- What you can do:
1) Download latest OrangeFox and put ZIP file in phone storage
2) Download latest Official TWRP, flash it via fastboot then hold "Power" and "Vol+" buttons (both) until TWRP is booted
3) Select OrangeFox ZIP file in TWRP and flash it (phone will automatically restart to OrangeFox Recovery).
4) Done! You can now flash latest Magisk version. ^^

You normally don't need to flash VBMeta file.
- Official TWRP => https://dl.twrp.me/davinci/
- Latest OrangeFox (actually "R10.1_1" because "R10.1_2" is a broken version) => https://files.orangefox.tech/OrangeFox-Stable/davinci/
EDIT: Flash "R10.1_1" version over bad "R10.1_2" version if you already downloaded/flashed via my previous MEGA link.

Sorry but this is not teally true - or maybe it's the case for custom roms and/or custom twrps
Using (not alone, you can find several peopke reporting the same):
-QFJEUXM 11m0.4.0 (Global, Stable,v Android 10)
-Official TWRP 3.3.1-0-davinci
Just flash that twrp through fastboot, do not wipe or fornat anything (vbmeta, internal storage, whatever), you will not loose anything and everything will work
And the same holds if twrp is replaced by orangefox (since recently, using R10.1_2)
Eg, when booting to twrp, you will enter your pin/password you use in system for unlocking the screen - and twrp will recognize and work with your encrypted Internal memory (so again, without formatting data, wiping vbmeta or whatever)
However, if you want to use some custom roms whose installation requires to format or wipe something, and/ot to use some custom twrps, that's another story (but not a problem in miui or in the official twrp)

Stuck in fastboot after flashboot flash recovery twrp.img

Hello,
I tried to root my 9T(model M2010JI9SG) following this guide:
I used twrp from this link:
Xiaomi Mi 9T / Redmi K20
Disclaimer:Team Win strives to provide a quality product. However, it is your decision to install our software on your device. Team Win takes no ...
twrp.me
version 3.5.2_9-0
after I flashed twrp, I got into fastboot mode, which I can't leave.
I tried doing volume up +power, volume down+ power, and all the buttons as well, nothing worked, every time it goes back to fastboot,
I tried to redo everything, still didn't fix, and tried to flash stock via mi tool, didn't work too.
Please help me fix that,
Thanks!!!

OMG
You should first of all know your phone model
"Redmi 9T" reads as different name than "Mi 9T", isn't it?
Hence you MUST NEVER flash TWRP for Redmi K20/Mi 9T (guide clearly says it is for that phone, check the big picture in your post) to your Redmi 9T
oh damn, I can fix that somehow?

Check on twrp.me is there TWRP for your Redmi 9T
Or download the so called Fastboot/TGZ ROM for your M2010JI9SG, extract recovery.img (stock Recovery) and flash it back over the wrong TWRP
For more details search on XDA for Redmi 9T subforum (this one is for Mi 9T), there should be users and freaks who can better help you for the same phone

Here you can find firmwares for lime:
Xiaomi Firmware Updater
The ultimate script that provides firmware packages for Xiaomi devices.
xiaomifirmwareupdater.com
You should (?) know what was your installed firmware, download the same Fastboot/tgz and extract (TGZ=Tar+GZIP) your original stock recovery.img, and flash it from Fastboot (just like you flashed the wrong TWRP)
You could also use MiFlash tool to flash the whole firmware, but it must be not needed

You don't need TWRP. Extract boot.img (like you extracted recovery.img). Install Magisk apk and use the method Install (Magisk), then Select and patch your boot.img (do not tick Recovery option)
Find the patched img in Download folder, transfer to PC and flash from Fastboot - this time to boot partition, not to recovery partition
If anything goes wrong, flash back the stock boot img
Btw, on that Redmi 9T, do you have A12 (or A11 or what) and is it MTK chipset?
Generally, use Magisk Stable v23 from TJW:
Magisk/README.MD at master · topjohnwu/Magisk
The Magic Mask for Android. Contribute to topjohnwu/Magisk development by creating an account on GitHub.
github.com
But if A12 or MTK and if it ain't work, you can try Magisk Alpha ('pilot' builds for the new Magisk to be soon? released)

I tried to do it, after I patched boot.img I transfered it to my PC and did fastboot boot boot_patched.img
it did ok on sending, but then failed on booting(unknown command), any fix for that?
Flash (not boot) a healthy un-patched stock "boot.img" that is signed with your ROM version to the device and see if that works.

fastboot boot xxx.img boots one time to the xxx.img
For flashing (permanently) to boot you need to use:
fastboot flash boot xxx.img
Before flashing the 'stock' or patched boot img, pls double check: compare your firmware name in Settings / My device against the fastbboot/tgz package you downloaded and extracted the boot.img from
Recovery images might be the same for several firmwares, but boot.img is more critical. If extracted from the wrong firmware, it will not be your real stock boot.img and will not boot
You can use this app (now when your phone boots) to download and look for the proper firmware:
MIUI Downloader - Apps on Google Play
MIUI upgrade app for Mi users.

I would trust to the following thread on Xiaomi.eu forum, to find the suitable TWRP for your device.
Post #1, link to AFH, then scroll to lime (if that's the code name for your Redmi 9T):
[TWRP][RECOVERY] List of relevant recovery in one place
https://sourceforge.net/projects/recovery-for-xiaomi-devices/files/ I have compiled a list of relevant recovery in one place, i think it will be useful. Updates are monitored each day. Welcome, friends! How to install TWRP https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/installing-a-custom-recovery.67841/
xiaomi.eu
Based on experience with my 9T I would pick
twrp-3.5.2_10-3-lime-brigudav.img
I.e., Xoaomi.eu provides weekly and stable firmwares that are usually well ahead of the official firmwares (on my Mi 9T, daily driver and businesses phone I was 9 months on their weeklies until I switched to their Stable two months ago)
The point is that Xiaomi.eu firmwares for most phones (I just checked, Redmi 9T is on the list) require TWRP to flash
That means if people recommend the TWRP as there, it nust be the right one
Once you have TWRP you can back up your boot partition. You will get boot.emmc.win and that will be your exact stock boot.img
You can still use the Patch and Flash method to install Magisk (as described you earlier), by patching that boot.emmc.win
