Sup,
Was wondering if someone could please please compile an Android 6.01 rom for H or C that is just
deodexed,
de-knoxed,
debloated,
zip aligned,
rooted
But other wise kept as close to 6.01 for our models as possible.. I.e. no ports.
The closest to that at the moment is Hani's Hani rom but it has issues and I think he's got to much on to work on it.
I'm based over seas and unbelievably can't access a computer so would be so so greatfull.
Or if that's to much maybe someone could convert the official Note 4 N910H 6.01 firmware to an installable zip at least my phone would be stable again.
I've checked several times for months BUT if someone has already posted a rom like this then I apologize and please direct me.
Thankyou
C

SimplRom update is coming, so just wait for that.
First of all this should be in Q&A not development. Secondly if you link me the firmware you want I'll deodex root and deknox it for.
It's very easy to do and I can link you a kitchen for Windows that will do it for you if you don't have Linux

Hey guys.
Had some great advice in some of my other questions and I thank everyone who posted. Everything always helps.
Just before I do this, as I've been informed that you can't go back to 4.3 after updating bootloader to 4.4.2.
Which would be the latest 4.4.2 firmware I should flash for N9005 in Australia? I then want to flash custom roms like Xnote etc. Knox will be triggered after I flash a custom recovery am I right?
Thanks guys. As far as I can see NC3 is the latest.

Oh ok cool thank you.
Thing is what if I was to flash the Netherlands firmware, will I still be able to use it stock if I wish in Australia? I'll probably go straight to custom rom but just seeing. I'm worried if I flash a certain countries firmware I'll brick my device...

no u won't brick, as long as u choose the correct firmware for your device.
and do a proper step by ODIN PC.
btw, u open 2 similar threads ?
Yeah I know, just trying to get more info. As a thread gets seen once, it's forgotten about pretty quickly and not many people get to see it, or have the opportunity to comment. especially in the q&a section.

Another thing I wanted to check was if I flashed ND3...can use like NB7 or NB3 or any earlier 4.4.2 rom?? Custom obviously? Heard some scary things if you go back...maybe that's to a non-knox firmware...
Thanks!!

You can flash other (earlier) 4.4.2 roms but you can`t downgrade to a 4.3 rom afaik
Oh cool. That's fine then. All these have open MSCs right? So I could technically use it stock? There will be an English option? I mean if it's all on there I don't know why Samsung doesn't release it at a faster rate, ir more at once... If indeed it works fine. I'll probably change straight away to a custom rom but still, it'd be nice to see what vanilla kit kit is like.

How can it be that no one has released a custom rom based on latest NG9 yet?
Is latest version special in any way?
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Why would you assume that it would already be released? It's a lot of work and Developers have lives, families and jobs too. If and when someone has the spare time, it will be released. End of story.

I now that they have other things to do.. I was not asking to be dumb.. I just wonder.. All other firmware releases have been customized after very short time..
Therefore I was asking if ANG9 was a special firmware.
What is NG9 anyway?

All I know is that it has much better fingerprint scanner control. And smoother TW.
There is more for sure.. but that's all I know of.

NG9 had same changelist as NG2 i believe which was less than NG7

I believe it's basically NG2, jsut for some countries NG9 was released instead of NG2.

I am waiting for a MM update too. But to be honest I already thought about those problematics when choosing a device that is not sold in Europe (and btw I an from Austria) AND a dual Sim variant.
Nevertheless that's no excuse for Samsung.
I hope they will carry on... I really like this device and want to keep it for a while.

The SM-N900V is a USA Verizon only version and no such named version exists. The closest is N900VVRUEOF1
That is available at www.sammobile.com, you have to be a member to download ROMs but membership is free.

The version you see in the About page in settings is read from a file called build.prop under ro.build.display.id and can be anything anyone with root privileges can change.
There is no "official" Verizon firmware by the name you posted. The actual value ro.build.id is LRX21V
So the OF1 build on sammobile is what you want.

Believe it or not its completly stock non rooted and running this version , i saw it with my eyes and checked it if it was a custom rom or something.
Anyway seems that like i believed this version doesnt exist and i can understand what this rom is

That is NOT an official Verizon ROM. That is a modified ROM that added your language (Greek?)
Who did you buy the phone from?
My GUESS is some shop that bought old US phones and refurbished them and put a modified ROM on it with different language packs.
