[Q] To root again after official update or not?

Hi
I have an I9505 which was at 4.3 by default. I used the CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar to root it and after that i updated it with odin and I9505XXUFNB8_I9505TSIFNB1_I9505XXUFNB8_HOME.tar that i got from sammobile.com .
now I don't know that after updating official rom, i'm rooted or not?!!
I flashed Trwap recovery again. I don't know that can i flash a custome rom now with it or i have to root again? if YES, the CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.tar will work again with android 4.4.2 or not?
thanks

There is an app called Root Checker which does what the name says. Usuallly, you can preserve root while upgrading if you got SuperSU Pro and have "Survival Mode" enabled.
You don't need to root for flashing a custom rom. You can just flash from the recovery.
Thanks
I flashed a new rom

So,flash a custom rom via recovery and try after that flashing a stock rom with Odin
Official roms are intended for flashing with Odin or OTA,they are not in zip format but in
.tar
Or do a factory reset, you loose root and custom recovery and flash official rom from Sammobile via Odin

I watched this video on YouTube and in the links there was a twrp file to flash
but it says: "Use the 4.3 version of TWRP if you have never upgraded kitkat bootloader. Otherwise make sure you use the 4.4 version. These versions of TWRP have different DTBs and will fail to boot if you do not match your bootloader."
How do I know if I changed the bootloader or not ? All I know is that I've flashed a new firmware vie mobile obiln...

Dial *#1234# and tell me what appears.
Version:
AP: N9005XXUGBOF1
CP: N9005XXUGBOD3
CSC: N9005BTUGBOD2
Use the most recent CWM or TWRP to flash supersu and you should obtain root as long as you don't have a locked bootloader.
head here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2201860 and get the latest cwm adn flash super user as @audit13 rightly said

You need wipe/clean data and then flash ROM which you were trying. If you want to upgrade baseband or modem then you could also flash stock rom. I was in a similar situation and I needed to wipe data factory reset before i could install custom rom

Exactly. Do that and you're done! [emoji1]
if you failed rooting note 4 using CF autoroot, then you must have done something wrong.
follow the instruction exactly to the letter.
I've rooted my 910H (stock 6.0.1) 3 times without any problem.
