does anyone know how to delete a task manager from ur phone?
If its cooked into the rom its virtually impossible, if you installed it, it should show up on your "Add/Remove programs" option.
I don't know whether you guys have tried either LBE Privacy Guard, or Proid. But I have some interest in privacy tools.
Just today I got Pdroid working on CM10. It's a cool tool for managing apps and your privacy. I highly recommend it, and since no-one has ever posted about it in here, I thought I should.
I had tried LBE but after granting root it severely messes with my system, and I end up in some weird screen off loop, which I cannot get out of. I used aroma filemanager from recovery to delete the apk from app folder.
Pdroid is somewhat more advanced, since it requires patching of your rom. But Autopatcher makes it easy, and creates an update.zip to flash from recovery.
Go check it out :good::cyclops:
Hi!
Here is a new version of LBE PRIVACY GUARD called LBE SECURITY MANAGER.

So i have the layers version of PureNexus installed. Franco Kernel and latest edition of busybox.
I tried messing with layers a few weeks ago but somehow crashed the entire system and it was a huge pain to restore back to where i was. So i want to make sure i know what im doing before i hit the apply button again.
I have layers manager installed.And i have layers showcase installed.
As i was browsing through the layers showcase all of the layers say that they do not support the version of Android i have installed and may cause bootloops. (I have 6.0.1) installed (I also have Xposed installed)
Basically i dont want to modify any apps. I just want to change the look of the Android system itself. (Notification pull down, settings, settings icons, colors, etc)
And i want to stay in the "material design" land.
Any help would be very appreciated.

Which layer theme or apps are you trying to install? If you run into errors and you get system errors after a reboot the easiest way to fix the issue is to delete the overlay folder in your file manager via TWRP, then reboot. I have found that if I do a hard reboot after installing my layers I get the system UI failures upon reboot. If I do the soft reboot in layers after I install it works fine, then I can do a full reboot and all is good.
Can i Uninstall smart manager by using any root uninstaller?? Will uninstalling Smart Manager from system cause any problem??
Yes you can. You won't be able to access battery stats without it. There are stock-based custom ROMs however that manage to avoid Smart Manager and yet still can access battery stats. Either the settings APK is from an old stock ROM from prior to Smart Manager being introduced, or the APK was modified to go directly to the battery stats.
