Sure, there is no definite answer, and endless amount of models to choose from.
I'm looking for a round watch, that's a must. There is the popular No.1 D5 of course, but something about its shape doesn't do it for me.
Now there's the new KW88, which I saw for $100 at Banggood:
http://www.banggood.com/KINGWEAR-KW88-1_39-inch-MTK6580-Quad-Core-1_3GHZ-Android-5_1-3G-Smart-Watch-p-1067524.html
It has all the functions I'm looking for (except not being waterproof - is there such a smartwatch?), and the price is right.
Are there any other models, similar to KW88 that I should look for?
I'm loving my gear s2 classic with matching ceramic strap, looks and works great.

I think the Sony Smartwatch 3 is the best option for around $100 on ebay. It can run apk files,

water resistant

and Android Wear. These MTK Chinese watches are like feature/dumb phones compared to smartphones.

I'm sure I would too, it's just about $100 more than I'd like to pay

I'm looking into buying a smartwatch and I'm stuck at deciding which one to go for. The price can't be higher than 150$ because of my finances, so Gear and TrueSmart are out of my league.
I was looking more closely into SmartQ Z, ZGPax and Motorola Motoactv. I would use it mostly for everyday use and running. I also take in account the modding capability and apps that can run on it. I'm aware that ZGPax and Motoactv can basically be completely modified and can run most play store apps (and motoactv even has GPS build in). So what about SmartQ Z? Could I for example run edmondo sports tracker?
All answers are much appreciated. Oh and if it matters, I have a HTC One X running CM11, so compatibility shouldn't be an issue right?
I'm waiting the answer with you, I prefer SmartQ Z

I'm on my second motoACTV. It's amazing even if you don't root it and install custom roms.
My first ACTV lasted two years and is still working. I used it as a daily watch but also at the gym or for running. Sweat and rain damaged the buttons after 18 months of heavy use. Six months later (last month) I bought a new one for $125 at amazon. This one is a newer version of the device with a few design changes but it's still the same ACTV.
The funny thing is that the buttons on my old actv are working now perfectly lol.
But anyway, I would recommend the Actv because it's tough. Mine fell to the floor a lot and there are no scratches what so ever.
Battery life lasts like a week if you use it as a watch.
If you have wifi on and are downloading apps then screen time is 1-2 hours.
It's an impressive little device and it looks cool. And it's so amazing that it came in November 2011 yet it can do the same all these new devices do (except taking pictures).
And its price is also quite good on amazon. So I'd go for it.
Edit: motoactv app on the play store will let you sync everything, no matter on what Android phone you are. motoactv.com will track all your fitness data.
Thanks for the reply mtvdeo! Motoactv is really tempting I must say, mostly because it's more of a standalone watch with the gps and everything. Problem is though, I'm from central Europe (Slovenia) and getting even an used one is quite a pain. I couldn't find any under 150$ (If I take delivery and handling fees into consideration).

I was lucky since I went on vacation to the US and bought it from amazon.com for $110 (plus $15 dollar tax).
I'm from Latin America and it's quite a pain to buy stuff here. Tons of regulations and taxes. I'm basically not allowed to buy stuff from other countries where I live.
But maybe in your country you could buy from Amazon.com (USA site). It's really cheap there. I don't know about the shipping taxes and charge, though.
However, if you can wait a bit more, Google is announcing their watch in a few months. I think LG will make it. Motorola will also announce their new watch, which is rumored to have amazing battery life and great design. I'm really looking forward to the Motorola one (since I'm a fan of their designs).

The price I mentioned was from amazon, so yeah, too expensive for me. I ordered a ZGPAX yesterday, I'll see how it goes. I'm keeping my eye out on the Nexus smartwatch and the new motorola, I'll probably get one of them when they get released and sell the ZGPAX. :good:
I just ordered a samsung galaxy gear on ebay for a reasonable price. But then today I stumbled across the ZGPAX. The specs are pretty impressive for a $150 dollar watch
hey

As far as I know, smartq Z doesnt' have a build-in GPU, so running games probably isn't exactly glorious.

yeah i tought so. damn now i remeber why i loved the motoactv just looking on youtube it plays pretty much every game. i remeber some thing like that the motoactv has a powervr 530 or 531
but i think in terms of fonctions the smartq z watch is queit good.
i wish some one could make a youtube video or pictures of both. to see the difference.
cause the motoactv doesnt realy sync with your phone and show notification? cause i know it wasnt made for that
Its a aw-414/ iconbit callisto watch. Cheap! From China: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Wear...MA-3G-Bluetooth-MTK6572-3-0Mp/1815740935.html
Yeah looks like the Omate Truesmart / AW414 ripoff. Looks pretty nice though.
I found another ripoff using MTK6572 hardware wrapped up in the Samsung Galaxy Gear body (by Jajatong, the famous ripoff artist of Samsung smartphones):
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Smart-Watch-JAJATONG-W007-daul-core-smart-watch-gear-500w-camera-1-6-inch-mtk6572-512MB/1748041635.html
Just be careful, this appears to be a "pre-sale" item (Google "Jajatong W007") - like Kickstarters, I personally won't give them my money until I see the actual model appears in the market - many people who bought "pre-sales" get faulty rush jobs!
One thing I worry about is the battery life of this watch. The MTK is known to be power-hungry. Previous models such as the EC308/309 and ZGPAX lug around a thick detachable battery and battery life is not great. The Galaxy Gear has a thin body and the battery is not replaceable.
Otherwise, it may be a success like the other ripoffs made by this company, selling at a deeply discounted price.
Do you think Z8 (149$) it's worth it ? I don’t see any review or opinion on the forum.
@ Arovaris & backlit - do you guys buy the z8?

Not yet. I'm waiting for review.
Not a rip off. If you have enough money, even you could get a contract with Umeox (Omate doesn't make any of these watches) and sell it as your brand.
Be forewarned, the firmware on all of them is unsecure as hell. Proper source doesn't exist outside of Mediatek and they are prone to issues.

Nice
Samsung just restocked their inventory so I picked up the battery kit with the 50% coupon they emailed me earlier.
I bought the Samsung case/cover with the built in wireless charging from Amazon. I have had it for over 2 weeks and really like it.

I too have this cover and love it o: Keeps my naked screen nice and safe from scratches :silly: Too bad I probably won't use it any more because of my Gear VR Well... I suppose I could use it... but the Gear would look so weird with that s-view cover open S:
Edit:
I would also like to get that Gear S and the fancy new advanced s-pen (I really hope Gear VR users can use it as a magic wand lol)

Want to get a 128GB microsd but they are too expensive, so will probably get 32/64GB.
The thinnest case I've ever owned, Rinke, is what I use now. I'm patiently waiting for Samsung to freaking release the LED flip case.

I would definitely recommend it! The Oculus Cinema made the Gear VR worth it for me :silly: It's like a portable movie theater without the annoying kids everywhere! The screen feels much much larger than any normal TV watching experience X]
Plus... It reminds me of Misaka's Sisters from To Aru Kagaku no Railgun :highfive:
edit:
oh, the games are pretty rad too :3

I really want to get the Battery Kit with my 50% coupon but they are backordered and I can't find any place that will price match with the coupon. I already have the Moto 360 which works great with the Note 4 but I have been tempted to get the Gear S...I'm just waiting for the prices to drop a bit. I bought the Gear 1 about 8 months ago for $99 and liked it's functionality over the 360...but I like the notifications and looks of the 360 better.
I also just purchased a wireless charging receiver that works great. I'm waiting on the flip case to arrive some time this week....
So Like Many of You I upgraded from the Note 4, and the gear vr 1. I was hoping they would atleast have a date out for the vr 2 but it doesnt seem to be the case. So now im looking for sometype of vr function to hold me out in the mean time before i decide on a occulus or some alternative. anyway to my question , what is the best cardboard headset for the s6 edge? and will the curve screen mess up the vr effect?
I've got the kit from dodocase.com, it's essentially the cardboard kit. It works pretty well imho, the curved edges aren't noticeable, I think they're slightly outside of the field of view.
well it seems the Vr 2 launch is imminent the gods have heard my prayers pre orders start tommarow!

Istill have great hopes on this VR2, since S6 is gonna be a great succes, the amount of potential users is superior, so dev will gain interest on that market.

Over in the VR headset thread there is a guy that said that he has the Oculous headset right now and said the the samsung VR is going to be well worth the money. This pushes me more towards buying it in may haha
They are 199 now at best buy.
I owned a Note 4 with a Gear VR as well. Saw some great potential in it but 99% of the available content is crap. That's an area where the Oculus Rift will definitely be the better option. As long as there is no similar content for the Gear VR I'm holding my money back.
Hello,
I wanted to share a review of the new iPulse Galaxy S9+ Leather Wallet Case. I had one for my S8+ and really loved it. It was the first one that I found that was 100% leather.
It comes in a nice black bag that has a letter in it that explains were they started and currently reside. It is a small family owned company that makes 100% hand crafted leather products. This one is made of Italian leather.
This version now comes with a small magnetic latch that keeps the case closed. The S8+ version did not have that. I really like the latch. It does a great job of keeping it closed.
It can hold your drivers license and credit cards and money. I have had 10 cards in it and money. If you do have all of that in it then it does bulk up some. With the new clasp it really helps to keep it closed.
They said in the letter than a part of every purchase goes to UNICEF. I find that a great cause. If you want to purchase one you can find them on Amazon. Just search for iPulse S9 + case and you will find it.
It is by far the best wallet case that I have found. I will defiantly buy another one when the S10 + comes out next year!!!!
I just received mine as well, and I'm very impressed with the quality. My only wish is that they had a red option like the do on some of their other phones, but I think this will definitely be my daily driver for the foreseeable future.
