Trying to root after upgrading to v6.0
I was waiting for long time to root my phone, but unfortunately I upgraded to v6.0 and now I do not have enough space in my phone memory. So, i`m looking for options to either root my phone to delete unwanted builtin apps, or reset to v5.1.
I deeply regret for buying a phone with only 8 GB internal memory
Same issue!
Upraded to 6.0.1 ;root by supersu wants twrp and installing twrp needs a rooted phone!

I rooted my 6.0.1 s7 edge using a newer version of the root odin software than was applicable on my device. Running on Exynos and i would like to unroot it as root checker says, 'Sorry! Root access not properly installed on this device.' Please help!!
SM-G935F
Still on 6.0.1
I believe you just flash stock though oden and youll be set. Alil rusty since i have the snapdragon. But had the exynos note4 few y3ars back and recall it being the same to go back to stock.

try to perform all root steps again and check logs to see any warning or error

I myself have a Galaxy S5 and it's rooted. My brother on the other hand has a Samsung J3 (2016) SM-J320W8. I've tried root apps, ChainFire auto root, but to no luck.
Try to flash TWRP via Odin and then flash SuperSU latest from SuperSU website.
Has anyone had any luck with this yet?
W8 has the same chipset as j320A as far as I know
You can try that root method, just make sure you have a way to restore in case it fails.
But please, let us know if you do try
I think this is another bootloader locked device.
Greetings,
I am trying to flash the latest TWRP using the latest odin on my cricket samsung galaxy s4, but get the red failed message.
1) Is there a recommended TWRP version to flash on this phone?
2) Has anyone had any luck installing Lineage OS on this version of Samsung galaxy s4?
thanks in advance for any help
If your bootloader is locked, you can only root and use touch wiz based ROMs. No TWRP no lineage OS

Thank you very much for your reply, there is not much info for the I337z . I tried using kingo root and towel root , and neither of them worked. Any suggestions as to what rooting method may work with this version of samsung galaxy s4? Also, how can I be sure if my bootloader is locked? I know ATT ( I337) has a locked bootloader.
Thanks again

Thank you for the help . I was able to install a custom TWRP and Lineage OS from JDCTeam, even though i337z is not on their list of supported devices. But somehow it worked .

No problem. Your bootloader is unlocked then if you got TWRP and lineage on it
