Hi All
So My default battery died on my Note4 and I got a new one from "Just Battery"
So the difference in the battery is that the default one is 3250mah and the one I replaced it with it a 3400mah
Phone is rooter and running the Hi Vitamin kernal at the moment but is there a place where you can set the battery mah so that when you charge the phone the OS don't stop charging when it reach the 3250mah battery capacity?
How I noticed this is that when you unplug after a full charge it takes the phone 2 min to drop to 97% battery life and then it goes slow from that point. So the OS is definitely not charging the phone 100% full
Install "root essentials# it has an battery kalibration mode..

Hi all.
Surely this isnt right. Had my Nexus-One 5/6 weeks i dont remember whenever they were released and shipped to the UK.
After 2 weeks i Rooted the phone, and installed the CyanogenMod.
Now i noticing today battery was stuck on 98% charging. Checked in Menu>Spare Parts>Battery Information.
Battery status: Full
Power plug: USB
Battery level: 98
Battery scale: 100
Battery health: Good
Battery voltage: 4045 mV
Battery temp: 29.5C
Battery technology: Li-Ion
Now since sending a few SMS, ans opening a Email, the level is now at 92%. Yet its still plugged in but the battery is draining! WTF is going on.
The phone has always and only been charged using USB!
I charge the phone once daily overnight while i sleep.
Surely something is wrong here?

Nope. Cyanogen 5.0.3+ uses a new kernel which implements different charging logic.
Basically it will charge to 100% but then stop charging until the battery drops to 90%. It supposedly improves battery life by avoiding overcharging.
FYI to the OP... charging exclusively from USB is not going to help your battery in any way, contrary to what a few people on this forum think. Use the stock charger and save yourself the time.

This. Supposedly this will lead to longer battery life without a degradation in capacity due to excessive charging. This has been implemented with software logic for Li-Ion batteries in Laptops for a while now (although it doesn't appear to be default on most). You'll see it charge again once it hits 90%.
Hi I have G2 Korean version with removable 2600mah battery which is lower than the int'l version with 3000mah. I've use it for 2 months now until last week when it's the first time I forget to unplug it before I sleep so it was charged overnight. Then at noon time, the phone suddenly shut down with very thin lines. So I quickly charge it but there is a blinking red light. After an hour of plugging and out, thankfully, it charged properly but now I'm only getting 12 hours battery on light usage. I've heared that the non-removable 3000mah gets 19 hours battery, is this true? What's the normal battery life of the 2600mah? Should I get 16 hours (2600mahx19hr/3000mah)?
Did something gone wrong? Any recommendations? I still have warranty. I tried calibrating my battery by draining in and charging it fully while off , calibrating by software (Battery HD) and charging after 30 mins of usage of a fully charge battery (jump starting). Please note that same thing happened on the other battery which also charged overnight on the external charger pack.
Thanks.

Any link for rooting the korean version and any free app for freezing apps?
Thanks.

Last week I've installed a new usb port for my S4, because the old one broke. I know you will most likely think I've connected it poorly or whatever, but I don't think so, because I've had the slow charging issue before that.
I've got a couple of chargers. A Xiaomi 10.400 mAh charger, the original samsung AC charger, my nexus 7 charger, a Chromecast charger and a generic one from some store. The Xiaomi charger used to charge my phone quite fast. While playing Clash of Clans, on middle-high brightness I would still get about 1% every 2 minutes or so. Same with the nexus 7 one.
Right now however, it's struggling to get charged. It seems like the battery is draining faster than it's charging. But I've recently rooted my phone and installed the 5.0 GPE version rom, and my battery life has never been better. Recently got to 12h with about 2-3h SOT and still 60% left, which made me really happy. But if I charge it and use it, I only get about 1% every 10-15 minutes. Which kinda sucks.. (Right now, my s4 is on 87% and according to the lockscreen prediction thingy, it takes 1h06min to get to 100, while not using the phone)
Has anyone seen this problem before or knows how to fix it?
Do you charge it at your PC/Laptop?
My phone also charged very slowly when connected to the PC.. This was on original firmware.
Now I'm using GPE ROM but I haven't charged it at a PC yet.
There are some options in the Googy Max settings regarding charging.
What if it's the battery?

Nope, I charge it using a wallplug.
I must say it seems like my Xiaomi battery is charging my phone faster today. This afternoon it did about 30% an hour or something.
Edit: What it seems to be doing is charge fast at lower % battery, and charge slow on higher %. Is this a setting of something, perhaps?

I have an app called battery doctor which has 3 charging stages. From X% to 80% theres a fast charge, then from 80% to 100% it (supposedly) reduces the current to ensure a full charge (basically it charges slower from 80 to 100%). I don't know what difference there is in charging time in those 2 stages. But you say it happens on different roms so either you have recently installed an app like battery doctor or it's something else.
Have you tried charging the phone while it's turned off to see if it charges faster or same as before?

The only apps with root acces I have are system tuner, titanium backup and adaway. I uninstalled System Tuner, will see if that helps. And the only other thing that could do it is Googy-Max Stweaks.
I just turned the setting Charge Control Switch from disabled to Substitute AC to USB and got 7 % in 14 min. I feel it's quite a bit faster now. Gonna check it out while having Clash of Clans running. If it's still charging at 1% every 5 minutes, ill be happy
Just tested it for a bit, and went from 45 to 60% in 22 minutes. So I'm happy again
I used samsung fast charger for 4 months and battery life was all good , then i lost the charger so i had to charge the phone with a "not so fast charger" that took ages to charge my phone.
Never charged to 80% , and battery drain was serious.
That's when i got worried that the charger ive been using might have destroyed my battery.
So bought the "turbopower 15" charger for my MXP and at first it heated up my battery more then 60* (serious overheating issue)
After 2 or 3 charges i figured it only heats up after the percentage is 50% or higher or when i use it while charging.
And now it drain my battery like crazy!,
I just restarted my device into recovery right now and it was 45% but by the time i booted up to recovery it said 25%. How CRAZY DRAINAGE IS THAT??, Please devs help me.
Its like i dont need a stopwatch my battery drain a percent per second.
Im using purenexus 7.1.2 by @GtrCraft witb stock kernal

try going back to stock rom, if the problem persists that means the battery is bad

I was just using stock rom but the battery drain was still the same. I dunno if ive messed up the battery because of the "not orignal" chargers or whatever the reason is. I think the battery is now done for. I think Im just gonna sell this phone
Just buy a new battery from ebay, replace it urself. It's easy..

I use tronsmart 3.0 turbo charger (backward capability for quick charge 2.0 devices). Battery life is good. I charge it when it hits 15-30%.
