I updated my Zenfone 5 A501CG from Version TW-2.22.40.540 to Version TW_3.24.40.87. Now my mobile data connection (AT&T) does not work. In an attempt to resolve this issue I have tried the following:
Factory data reset
Deleted AT&T APN settings and added them back
Safe Mode
Wipe Cache Partition
Moved SIM card to slot 2
After the above failed, I completed the downgrade back to KitKat Version TW_2.21.40.44. During the initial setup my mobile data connection started to work. I proceeded to upgrade to Version TW-2.22.40.540 (data still working) before finally updating again to Version TW_3.24.40.87 which has broken my data connection again.
What can I do to fix this?

i have a n9005 and now i cant use wcdma after cache f2fs
this is what happend
1 - i have flashed ''lean kernel LP version'' on my mobile to format cache partition to f2fs format using twrp.
2 - i successfully formatted cache to f2fs format and rebooted mobile but it went to boot loop.
3 - so i rebooted to recovery and done a factory reset and my mobile booted.
4 - all things went well and used mobile at least two hours and i got this new problem (my wcdma/3g network is not working).
5 - i formatted cache to ext4 and checked but mobile not connecting to wcdma while everything working on gsm .
5 - if i use wcdma only mode mobile displays signals but it says emergency calls only (but i got full 3g signals on my other mobile at same place).
6 - i have re flashed mobile with official kitkat and lp roms using Odin, restored my imei using a backup, rebuilt-ed nv data using a octoplus box, even i tried several kernels too but nothing helped me
7 - and also I sent it to Samsung repair center too, but even they cant fix it without a new motheboard
8. searched searched every ware on net for an answer but I'm the only one out there having this problem
9. my next step is copy a working nv data backup to my mobile from wcdma working n9005 mobile (but no one helps me cos nv data includes imei too)
SO please Guys help me to fix my mobile. i love my n3 and I really need to fix it.
tell me your suggestions, I'm waiting cheers :good:
During the flashing your efs corrupted .to fix it use spt box if you have not ..go to software repair service shop to repair your 3g network ....
Current status- Note 3 running stock 5.0 Lollipop and root is unavailable. No Mobile Data connectivity
Model SM-N900T (Tmobile) Baseline - N900TUVUFO86
Story- Three days ago I updated from 4.2.2 to Lollipop 5.0 . Shortly thereafter issues appears such as not being able to set PIN security.
Factory resets didn't help. Re-flashing again with 5.0 (BTW, all done through Kies) resolved the issue but other issues appeared. Mobile data connectivity via Tmobile was lost. Couldn't select a Tmobile network- times out. APN is correct + all other settings. I downgraded the phone back to 4.2.2 hoping it would correct the issue but not. Still no mobile data connectivity. Tmobile in-store tech were no help. IMEI appears intact when viewed through *#06#- matches the back of the phone; however, when looking into the details (*#0011#) I see a IMEI FAIL CERT -4. Besides this issue everything else is perfectly fine.
My thoughts are the modem needs to be re-flashed via odin. I found one specifically for Tmobile Note 3 US (from around 2013) on this site. It's a BIN file which I've compressed to a TAR ( suppose I could flash the BIN using phone in odin too). I need some advice here if flashing this modem is the right thing to do. If not, any other suggestions?
Thanks
Mobile data works only if toggled from data usage setting, network signal is okay i can make/receive calls. Imei is correct however imei sv shows unkown.
When using quick settings toggle i get "insert sim card to access network services"
I tried factory reset, installing other rom and modem no luck.
Wiping dalvik cache usually solves the issue. However, if i restart the problem reappears.
Any advice?

You need to download a untouched stock rom from Sammy homepage and flash it via odin. That will most likely reset the phone totally and then after that you will have to go through the same procedures to get rooted and custom recovery as you did when you bought the phone from new.
Device = Samsung Galaxy S7
Model # = SM-G930V
Software Info = Android Version 7.0

Hi all,
I got two Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 and decided to root one of them.
Prior to me doing all this the phone was successfully activated on the Verizon network. I could make calls, get calls, and the 4G LTE icon would appear and I could use CHROME to get onto the internet from the phone. Now all I can do is make phone calls.
Needless to say it failed and now I can get it back on the Verizon network.
Here is what I did to (attempt) to root it and what I did to flash it back to stock and where I am now stuck.
I followed the directions here:
http://www.samsungsfour.com/tutoria...r-and-root-verizon-galaxy-s7-and-s7-edge.html
Download "Odin for Engineering Bootloader" software
Downloaded "Samsung_G930x_QC_Rooted_BOOT.tar"
Flashed the S7 with that .tar file
After I finished the flash the S7 was in an endless bootloop. :crying:
So following the instructions here:
http://www.samsungsfour.com/tutorials/how-to-resolve-android-boot-loop.html
I did "Wipe cache partition" and still stuck in boot loop
I did "wipe data/factory reset" and still stuck in boot loop
So I found the stock verizon Roms here
https://www.getdroidtips.com/verizon-galaxy-s7-galaxy-s7-edge-stock-firmware/
and flashed the JUNE 26, 2017 G930VVRU4BQF2 which is what the phone originally had.
That got me out of the boot loop and into the verizon activation wizard and I figured I was finally cleared of my mess. But nope. :crying: The wizard failed saying that it could not connect to Verizon and I that I could use wifi to finish the setup.
So when I finish the setup I'm at the "desktop" of the phone. I can make phone calls but NOT get on the internet unless I have wifi on. Basically the phone's SIM card is not being recognized by Verizon so it won't allow it to get onto the network for internet but yes for calls. Not sure why yes for calls.
In doing more reading I think the EFS partition got corrupt. Form what I understand the EFS partition hold the data on what SIM card number is in the phone and what carrier that SIM card number belongs to. The phone uses that info to send to Verizon to allow it onto the network. But since that partition is damaged/corrupt/not on phone the network won't allow the phone back into the network. Right?
So how do i go about fixing that partition?
I tried "EFS_Professional_2.1.80_BETA" but that says I need to be rooted.
I tired turning off phone, removing SIM card, reinserting SIM card and reboot and that failed. (Off course it would as the EFS is damaged).
I tried using the VZW software assistant to repair the phone but it tells me the firmware on the phone is invalid.
Any ideas?
PS.
Stupid me I did not backup the EFS partition before I started.
Had no need to backup any data as the phone was new and it had nothing on it.
**UPDATE**
I got the phone back on the verizon network with stock rom on it!
I went to updato.com and looked for the stock rom.
Next I used Odin3 v3.12 and flashed this file
CSC_VZW_G930VVZW4BQF2_CL11447542_QB13858601_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar
which was include in the .zip file of the stock rom.
My prior attempt I flashed with the AP_ file.
There are AP_, BL_, CP_, CSC_, and HOME_ files in that zip.
The CSC does a complete wipe of all the data on the phone.
The HOME_ does a stock firmware but keeps your data.
Note sure what the other 3 do.
In any case I'm back up and running but not rooted.
So what post should I read to unroot?
The only reason I want to unroot is to do moblie thethering as I have an unlimited plan.
Thanks
Need to flash ap bl cp home csc, use the latest version of pain to abouts fail. Make sure yuppies have latest driver for your phone. Ap is used four root, rest id's for the system files that probably gout somehow corrupt in some areas. You can also update your phone using Odin with higher stock version. I've tested it & it's safe
hi, i have samsung galaxy grand prime SM-G531H. the original version of my phone was android lollipop but recently i upgraded it to marshmallow. but i have some problems, the mobile data doesn't work (the wifi connection works perfectly tho). i've tried everything the internet have said: factory reset, networks settings reset, turning on/off the airplane mode, turning on/off the cellular data, changing the APN, taking out the sim cards from the slot, rebooting the phone, but nothing works.
but recently i've found out if i only use 1 sim card slot the mobile data will work. but i need both of the sim cards. anyway i usually use the 1st SIM as mobile data, and the 2nd one for texting/calls. so... anyone know how to fix this problem? thanks in advance.
