I'm planing to purchase this phone in next few days i would like to know following details
How is the cellular call quality?
Does the phone support dual sim standby?
How is the sound output from headphone / speaker?
Does the phone heats when playing casual games such as subway surfer,leo fortune? ( consider game play about ~30-45 min )
Does it heat when watching complete movie?
Does it heat when using internet for long time? ( i.e phone will be connected to wifi always & will be using whatsapp,mail & some time facebook )
How is the display quality in bright sunlight?

I am torn apart among Moto G4 Plus, Motorola's last year flagship Moto X Style and Honor 8. I would appreciate any ideas and pros and cons. I am not a gamer, but my device is normally loaded with apps. Camera is very important, fluid and lag free performance is also a must.

Ok I can help you out on this. I've had all three phones(just returned honor 8 and picked up moto g plus 2gb model)

Hello Everyone,
I bought a Moto G4 Plus a few months back but returned it as it was defective. Now I will be ordering another phone tomorrow, but now I am confused between two - Moto G4 Plus and Lenovo Z2 Plus( Zuk Z2), I feel that Z2 Plus is better in all aspects except the camera. Can someone please tell me how is the Camera of Moto G4 plus and if possible please compare it with the Z2 plus.
Also, if possible please suggest which phone should I buy.
Specs -
Z2 Plus - Snapdragon 820, 3500 Mah battery, 13MP camera(No OIS), 3GB RAM

Camera is a priority but performance stands higher.
But the Z2 also costs 50$ more so I can't decide.

As your name suggest you are an indian.And the g4 plus that are sold on amazon.in have many issues i.e all the g4 phone which are manufactured in india are a bit defective.Like overheat and screen burn are the two main problem I have seen .Zuk z1 was good and i think zuk z2 would be great. 4k rs investing more will give you a big jump in the specs

I havent had any problems with G4+. I dont play many games and I dont record long videos so I havent had any heat issues. I bought 64gb for $250 on Swappa.
I unlocked bootloader, Seamless root without any hiccups. Great device for me.
I dont think the Moto G series will get much better than the current Moto G4+ for a year or two.
PS I also have Moto G3 2015 as my oops phone. There is an advantage with Moto G4+.
Unless I'm mistaken it's the same hardware just with a fingerprint sensor and more storage options. I have the regular G4 and like it and wouldn't use the fingerprint anyways. If you want more storage it's probably cheaper to get like a 32-64gb as card for cheaper than the price difference of buying the other phone model. Just my opinion.
Go for Moto G4 plus now !
Go for G4+ as the G5 news cannot be relied upon. Also, your G(2014) is way too old, if you wanna change your phone, G4+ would be best so far in that price range. Waiting for G5 at this stage will make you halt for atleast a year-and-half from now, and would not contain much of the "GREATER" changes. As for codec support, the device (G4+) works perfectly fine with the x265(1080p) decoding. In fact it works brilliant with all codecs.
Wait for REDMI 4 PRIME ( Snapdragon 625, 4000mAh battery,3GB RAm,32 gb internal, fingerprint scanner), all under 15K!!!!!
Its rumoured to launch in India in Jan/Feb.
I would hold my horses and wait for its launch,Snapdragon 617 is one of the worst performing Soc ever(I didn't forgot Snapdragon 810 v2.1)
PS: I have nothing against g4 plus except that mediocre processor used by Moto to save cost!! I recommended my sister to buy moto g4 plus, it's an excellent camera phone under 15K,if not the best budget phone.

The phone throttles very soon and is not good basic functionality like recording FHD videos as the frame drops starts to occur and is even present in the saved video file. Also not good for gaming more than 30min!!!!!!

It was fixed some months ago. No overheating issues viewing VR 360º videos or playing Asphalt 8 in latest MM or Nougat.
I have the Moto X Pure (2015) and it is starting to feel sluggish especially with switching between apps. I don't really play games on my phone but would like the option. I pretty much just watch Netflix/Youtube/Hulu, etc...take pictures of my family, and surf the internet. Oh yeah and email and text and phone calls but I figured those were a given.
I have pretty much narrowed it down within my budget that IF I replace the Moto X Pure it will be with the G5 Plus. My question is, is this an upgrade all the way around or is it better in some areas (RAM) and worse in others (processor)? Thanks in advance for any input.

As you have mentioned above if you do lot of media consumption then moto X pure is good as it has QHD with stereo speakers compare to FHD screen and monospeaker.
You can consider Moto G5+ only if you want better camera, better battery life and better gaming performance.
As Moto X pure has SD808 you won't feel a very much improved performance in G5+ with SD625. But G5+ has best in class performance than its competitors except memory management which can be fixed. Its all up to your need.
Snapdragon 625 vs 808. Performance is supposed to be great on G5 Plus since Moto skin is very light, close to stock. Camera I am guessing about the same as G4? Same hardware as Galaxy S7 without ois and camera software not as advanced. The Moto G5 Plus might be the best unlocked phone for folks on Verizon since Google cannot keep the Pixel in stock. I currently have the G4 which has bootlooped once, now have a refurb, and considering an upgrade (this or LG G6).
First of all, G6 is the obvious choice between all the phones...
Second, I'm using a LGG4 and my wife uses G5 Plus.
On 2D usage, the Moto is way way more snappy, it's just a speedy little demon. The 3D performance though, is obviously and clearly noticeable better on the G4 (and its not that great, either).
Camera is also way better on the G4, no matter what (sharpness, color reproduction, overall quality, focus, HDR). G4 doesn't have 1080 60fps in the stock app though. Plus, it's true the G4 has OIS, but that thing is just plain horrible, lots of wibbles and motion sickness inducing stabilization.
Screen resolution and quality is hell if a lot better on the G4, too. The color reproduction and sharpness are just ridiculous (although it tends to have some temporary burn-ins after some time).
Battery is way better on the Moto; probably because it's bigger, and 1080p screen, and a newer and better Android version. The 625 is inherently more power efficient.
I'll think of some more comparisons, hit me up if you want to know more.
