Every Marshmallow ROM on the I9505 has issues connecting to mobile internet. - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

It seems that I can't get any mobile internet connection whatsoever on any Marshmallow ROM.
I have tried different roms, I've tried over 20 baseband versions (modems) to no avail. I honestly have no idea what to do anymore and can't seem to find any fix to this.
If anyone has ANY idea and thinks that can aid me anyhow, it would be of great help, thanks !

Select the correct APN.
Mine doesn't connect with the default APN either.

[Q] N900W8 Help with slow internet speeds

Hi! I have a N900W8 from Claro PR. I'm not new to flashing custom ROMs but this phone has definately given me some problems. I've tried just about every Rom available and every modem and I can't get better network speeds. I flash everything step by step (WiFi/BT Fix and everything else needed so that N9005 ROMs work on this device) and still no luck. I've even flashed the Original Claro PR ROM from sammobile and my internet speed is still very slow. It wasn't like this when the phone was brand new (untouched). Is there anything else I need to change or fix ? APN settings are correct (I've triple checked). If anyone can chime in with any information it will be greatly appreciated.

[Q] What if I can't connect to a specific cellular network provoider (yesss! AUT)?

Hello all,
I want to understand in a more detail how android is working because I have a specific problem with the cellular network.
On my galaxy s4 i9505 I was running a CM11 Snapshot M9 for a while without a problem.
It's ok but I often wanted to update to the latest CM11 builds (Snapshot or Nightlys) but there seems to be a problem with my cellular network.
The thing is, my provider is "yesss!" which is a discount mobile provider in Austria. With the M9 build the correct network is found and automatically connected. On all newer variants there is no automatical connection.
When I search for cellular network providers I only find the bigger ones like "A1", "Drei", "T-Mobile", ...
I can connect manually to "A1" which is a roaming partner of "yesss!" but it won't reconnect automatically and it is detected as roaming (which is correct). So basically the modem is working but there is no cance to find a connection to "yesss!"
How does it work?
I found out that even on the newer builds, the same modem is used.
I tried: I9505_XXUDMGG_MODEM.tar and later I9505_XXUDMHI1_MODEM.tar
both work with CM11 Snapshot M9 but are not working with newer builds.
So it may seems to be no problem of the modem?!
I tried to go to the "*#*#4636#*#*" menu and checked the settings:
on both versions "LTE/GSM auto (PRL)" is configured, so also no difference.
I tried some inofficial CM12 builds and other Andorid 5.0 builds.
Allways the same... The roms are working fine but the can't connect to "yesss!". only "A1" is possible.
Does anybody know what I could do?
Please help. Right now it seems that I am stuck at an old CM11 build.

Still no data?
This solution worked for a Danish guy with Telenor carrier.
"There are plenty of fields in an APN entry they my provider/carrier did not address, MVNO type for example, and that one turned out to be the problem It was set to 'SPN' by default, but it should be 'None'. I found that out be reflashing a CM11 M12 and checking the APN settings.
This particular misconfiguration is of course specific to my provider/carrier, but it is probably a general problem for people with mobile data problems."
Still no data. Wow cyanamod is so much better then touchwizz crap. But how can I solve this problem. Do I need to change on the APN?
I just got 2 updates from Cyanogenmod and my data is working. Finally

I'm experiencing the same issue on my S5 SM-900F, when I upgraded from cm-13.0-20151025-NIGHTLY-klte to cm-13.0-20160203-NIGHTLY-klte. I flashed with TWRP-2.8.7.0. I read on another forum about flashing with nothing higher than 2.8.6.0 so I tried to upgrade when the 0204 came out, but no change. Anything new on this?
I've solved the issue, but I don't know how. I know for sure that this particular problem is related to DHCP, so I've messed up with my router configuration and I finally solved it. I suggest you to install TWRP 3.0.0.0 and make various try with your router configuration in DHCP section, good luck!
