Hey guys,
I just flashed V11 of stock S5 +Note 4 mods by g00h, when I tried to access xposed, it said there was no root access, so I went to flash root (CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.tar - root name) and when the phone reboots, it just status on the "Samsung screen" and when I turn it off and turn it on I still don't have root access. In Odin it says "Pass"
Anyone know what's up with my phone?

Which Kernel your Note have?
If on Stock, try flashing XXUGND3 Kerne, root using towel root, then flash the appropriate Stock kernel.

I'm using a custom ROM. My version kernal is: 3.4.0-1955971. I am using a SM-N9005.
Fixed it. Turns out I didn't have SuperSU installed and that was messing up the whole thing -_-

I'm interested too. If it was also knox 0x0 would be perfect.....
@yassinmixpro, did you try @Azar_98's suggestion? If yes, does it work well? Thanks.
It works very well ever since.

Hi i want to root Stock 6.0.1 mm and keep stock recovery. So do we have to flash TWRP in order to root stock 6.0.1 mm? Or just flashing the cf-root file via odin alone will give root access? Thanks

CF-root via odin will root your device and you'll keep stock recovery.
I wonder what's the point of keeping stock recovery by the way

Thanks, i tend to use stock samsung rom always, but just like root to remove crap, titanium backup and some apps that require root permissions. Btw what options on odin do we tick when flashing the cf-root file?

Hmm, I guess if you never need to flash anything then keeping the original could be OK.
I'd say trwp is still useful to perform backup (entire rom at a time).
Well normally, you don't need to tick any options (the useful ones are ticked already).
So, only auto reboot and F.Reset time should be ticked.

Hi mate, just rooted my s5 via odin and cf-root file. However every time I reboot the phone, i get a "Set warranty bit" message in yellow at the top of the screen, I did do a wipe cache after I rooted. How do i remove that message? thanks
To my knowledge, you can't get rid of this message which was tripped by the rooting process.
But it doesn't make any difference anyway so you might as well leave it!
Then, you can run the root to the Galaxy S5 SM-G900F Android 6.0.1 and Kernel of May 31, 2016 without triggering this blessed knox 0x1?
I still have not figured out if it is feasible, and if you can do as you progress? Towelroot works?

It doesn't. I installed all these automatic upgrades and tried to use towelroot, but it said, that the device isn't supported. :crying: :crying: :crying:
do i need to unlock the boooader before or after
do i need to unlock the boooader before or after?
or not at all?
obviously the first file that i need to flash (twrp) is the custom recovery.
do i unlock the bootloader before this?
Might be a silly question, but if I want to start from scratch...if i factory reset will it maintain root or will I have to re root? I rooted via cf root.

Okay. I'm stressed. I just got an S7 edge and, as well, root is the first step of setup. So, I rooted and installed twrp. Then I tried to install the xposed framework but ended up in a bootloop. I flashed the xposed uninstaller zip file but the bootloop stayed. So, I wiped the phone and tried to install a custom rom. The phone was not having it. I have no os, and I've attempted to install multiple roms including the stock rom but it won't work. I use adb commands to transfer the zip files on to the internal memory of the phone, but when I flash the file, I always get a corrupt file error. I've tried downloading plenty roms so the likliness of the cause being a failed download is slim. Please help.
Try download mode and a fresh stock img through odin

My Query is, in a stock ROM for N900 (India), if I flash custom recovery through ODIN, and then Root my phone through the recovery when it asks "Your phone is not rooted. Do you want to Root it?", will it get rooted?
Also, will it affect any performance or stability of the original stock firmware?
I will be using it for AdAway.
Thanks and Regards.

Just flash SuperSU zip from recovery it'll do the job and if it shows a dialogue "Your phone is not rooted" when you reboot from recovery, just ignore it and choose no.
i use this to root my phone through ohdin

if you root by cf-root via odin, then you are going to the right direction. let it sits, and it's ready to go. also, i recommend to flash custom recoveries like twrp or philz. your choice
regarding performance and stability, it depends on what you change to the system via root, like kernel or system resources.. AdAway is fine tho
