android question(NAND)

ok so a friend did this flashing rooting or whatever for me and i now have android on my hd2...i LOVE IT but i have some issues...
first of all I miss the ''styles'' or ''themes'' on my phone, I only have the like16blocks cube looking menu on my home screen(in the middle) with left a phone icon and right a globe(internet)
I want the other version where you have some sort of actual menu like this

I cant seem to change that or download it on the market so if i have to instal some sort of other android I'm fine with that cus i have this look...
second of all, I have KPN Hi(a provider) and they have this program ''funambol'' which allows me to store all my favs and contacts+Facebook linked contacts to their server online and sync it on my phone.
when i had winmo this worked great, when ever they updated their pic on fb the picture on my phone would also change which i really like!
I tried installing funambol on my android, worked but i cant seem to link the Facebook pictures..it just says something in the description like <HTCData><!--please do not modify-->>Facebook>id:65532 etc etc etc...not working
these 2 major problems are the only ones I can think of at the moment and it would be great if any1 could link me to a android version that does have that menu or tell me where to download it

You can't do the one in pic right now because that has sense. Gingerbread doesn't have sense up to date.

You would need to flash a sense based rom to get your phone like the picture but as the previous poster said it would need to be froyo and not gingerbread (not a big deal imo)......
As for the app problem, as I dont use it Im not entirely sure. Did you try to import a backup you made when you were using windows because "<HTCData><!--please do not modify-->>Facebook>id:65532" looks like the same information that winmo atttaches to contacts to link them with facebook and wont be recognised by android.
You'll probably have to associate them manually then create a new backup with the android version of the app......

You can always use ADW Launcher, GO Launcher or Zeam Launcher for a home screen replacement. There are themes designed for them.

Just run and sign into the Facebook app. It'll associate your Facebook account with the phone and you can set it to sync with your contacts.

Why do you have to delete your contacts? Facebook will link them - not create new ones.
Paying for market apps is more dependant on the country of origin of the app. Different countries allow different payment methods. It's not where you're from - it's where they're from. If it says you need to pay with credit card, then I'm afraid you need to pay with credit card.
There are solutions to this though. You can get debit cards that work in exactly the same way as a credit card, but they're pre-paid. It just gives you a working CC number.

There's plenty of apps on the market for taking screenshots, but there's a good one simply called "screenshot" that's free.

Yes. It will replace the current version. And this version is quite stable. We don't expect many issues to come up.

Only issue I can see so far is that it doesn't like dark menus as the text is black and doesn't pull thebcilor.from the android system

Hmm, is there a way to change the new top action bar? Or do we have to wait for the skins to be updated? Right now it is a light blue that doesn't fit with the Darkness theme I'm using... Or am I being mindgamed and it was always this blue?
Also, I have a suggestion for one option regarding some wasted screen space. Going to "Settings > Custom style > Bubble settings > Enable text counter" lets us enable or disable the text counter. This text counter shows under the text editor.
When the text counter is disabled, the text counter is gone, but the vertical space is still taken up by the blank space. See screenshot below for what I mean.

It would be nice if disabling the text counter would collapse the previously reserved space.

I can suggest collapsing the text counter field when it's not being used, but yeah, we are aware that there may be SOME skinning issues and we will be addressing those as best as we can prior to the public release.

I see. I'll be bringing this up with development as we are aware that many Handcent users are also advanced users who root their devices and install third-party ROMs. I'm one of them, myself. However, with Cyanogen largely unavailable to DX2 users, this isn't something I get the luxury of testing.

I will be more then willing to help in this. I am pretty sure I can make a few simple changes so the color codes call the ones from the stock android framework. It would go along way to reduce the fragmentation issues we all see with how apps look if they used the built in color codes instead of defining their own. If I can be of any help please feel free to let me know.

First app load scrolling performance is absolutely horrific. It's choppier than any other app I've seen on my SGS II.
Edit: contact selection screen's scrolling is even worse. It's like watching a horrible car crash in slow-mo over a 28.8k modem.

How many messages do you have. Mine had no issues scrolling.

I thought we were finally going to get group mms compatibility with iOS? I can't find any option to enable this and it's not working natively.
If this was not added, what does "Improved compatibility with iOS messaging from iPhones" actually mean?
It's frustrating being left out of the loop because my friends on iphones like using iOS group messaging to communicate.

Good to know it's coming. If you guys are first to the market with this feature, you will make a lot of android users with iPhone using buddies very happy.

Is there/will there be an option to turn off the new 3 home screens? I appreciate you want to highlight the Handcent services and talk, but is a little annoying to accidentally change the screen when scrolling the conversation list.
The rest all looks good, much prefer the new 'unknown' contact avatar to the previous.

[APP] Better StartMenu - Create custom tiles

Customize Windows 10 start menu with custom images (even with transparent background) with ease.
It's FREE. Although there's a pro version for donation purposes, there is no difference between trial and pro version in functionality.
You can add tiles for desktop apps, store apps, files, folders, shortcuts and some other actions like shut down etc.

Oops! Honestly I don't know what they changed on this build. I haven't updated to 10532. And I hope they won't change the transparent option. Does it give tiles a default (current theme's) background color?

I think it would be right to make wider the 2nd section of the app and place icons in the form of a table (vertical or horizontal). Something like this:
Use one column when lots of applications are not very comfortable

My opinion is that animated tile is not mandatory (menu "Start", we see a very short time), but beautiful. And its presence will grace the start menu.
Offer to make a software update to automatic, and does not reinstall.
And it would be great if you would make the app a desktop and not modern.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. Honestly, I agree with you: nobody waits enough to see the animated tiles on the start menu. It just might be a nice visual but nothing useful. So maybe I need to postpone this one.
You're right about the update thing. It should replace the .exe file with the new one automatically. I hope I can implement this one soon.
About the modern app.. Actually, I can't change the modern app to a desktop app because only modern apps can pin tiles to the start menu (I mean customized tile). This is why we need a modern app besides desktop app.
And vertical tile.. I think you mean a non-standard tile, right? I don't think it's possible because there are predefined sizes for start menu tiles and here's a list of them:

this apps are not to P9 ? i try some, camera, fm radio(P9 is not fm). so fm radio can't installed and emui camera not work.

These apps are collected from different roms, some from emui 4.0 and some from emui 4.1

You can't simply install these kind of apps. You have to "mimic" the system apps. Make a folder (just like the others system) apps, copy file into that folder and give them the same rights. BUT they make not work.
Tested it with the above FM Radio on my P9. It simply does not offer this function ... App is starting and closing. Maybe parts of a framework are missing.

You can better remove your download link to material apps it contains Warez here are pro versions in there that isn't allowed on xda, since your a senior member you should know that.

Hey, unfortunately, Google add the new icon of Google Messenger and Google Phone directly in the apk, that's why "Messaging and Phone icon are still Android 6.0.1".. But I'm working with some people to try adding other icons.

I've decompiled your apk, found icons in res\mipmap-xxhdpi-v4\ (xxxhdpi\hdpi\etc) and the activites were in res\xml\icons.xml
It's not difficult to add activities for icons. It uses almost the same way like iconpacks for Nova\Action\etc launchers :highfive:

I've decompiled your apk, found icons in res\mipmap-xxhdpi-v4\ (xxxhdpi\hdpi\etc) and the activites were in res\xml\icons.xml
It's not difficult to add activities for icons. It uses almost the same way like iconpacks for Nova\Action\etc launchers :highfive:

Ok so I guess I have to check the code again

Hey everybody,
So as I said before @Rodger_Rulez, it's NOT possible to add icons.
Something you need to know..: I won't add unofficial Google icon.. the thing is, we can't change Google icons in the icon pack.. I've tried with Google Hangouts, Google Keep, and Google Phone.. I can't do anything..

Can I request if you can back port the WallpapersBReel.apk to arm & 5.1+ support. It currently supports 7.1 and arm64.
I've tried to set one as wallpaper but this happened:
