Hey everyone ... can i install touchwiz lollipop roms on kitkat base rom on s4 i9500 without updating s4 on official lollipop ?
Are you talking about custom TouchWiz ROMs?
Either way, the answer is yes.
Yes bro now im on official lollipop s4 i9500 but due to bad battery life i want to downgrade to stock 4.4.2 then i want to install custom lollipop tw roms like aurora s6 port is that possible and will it safe ?
Why do you want to downgrade? It won't make any difference if you downgrade or not.
Bro i observed that on lollipop the battery life is not good
So what's the logic in going to 4.4.2 stock and then going back to custom TouchWiz lollipop?
Why not flash a the custom ROM directly?
I thought maybe on stock kitkat the battery life will again better ... well can u suggest me a good battery life rom for s4 i9500 ?
If you're going to stay on kitkat, then you can try and downgrade.
But if you downgrade and immediately flash a custom ROM back to TouchWiz lollipop, then it is only a waste of time.
Samsung doesn't want you to downgrade, so downgrading can fail sometimes.
My device is GT-I9505, so I can't suggest you any ROMs. But maybe you want to try custom kitkat ROMs first.
Ok thanks for the very soon replies my brother

i am a newb so plzz try to be noobfriendly
p.s i couldnt find any other post which could help me so if there is any,can you guys please post the link also
If you are still on 4.2.2, then I would recommend to not upgrade to a 4.3 stock rom. Doing so will flash the new bootloader which will setup Knox on your phone. When you have the new bootloader and you flash a custom rom, Knox wil be set to 0x1. You can read more about Knox in the Knox thread.
If you planning on flashing custom roms in the future, then stay away from official firmwares.

You can flash any custom rom based on 4.3 that you want. Because custom roms don't flash the bootloader. There seem te be some problems with sound and wifi (but i'm not sure) when you flash a custom 4.3 rom on an old bootloader. But you can always revert to a custom 4.2.2 rom. So you can just try it
Just don't flash originial firmwares. Custom roms are safe.

Hey all, I'd like to install this rom, but my phone (S4 international GT-i9505) is KN0X tripped on 4.3. I currently run 4.3 stock. Is it safe to install this rom, and is it possible to downgrade back to 4.3 stock after?

Yup you can flash any custom rom via custom recovery and Yes you can still downgrade your phone into 4.3 stock rom but remember not to flash a Stock 4.4.2 Kitkat firmware because flashing 4.4.2 firmware can no longer downgrade to 4.3 stock rom. Flashing any custom rom/root will trigger your knox and If you wanna know more about knox , check this thread Have a nice day.
Is it possible to have a 4.3 bootloader but run a 4.4.2 rom (without BL) on a I9505 ?
Only ask as I don't want to update system and get stuck in 4.4.2 with no way of going back should I have issues (battery etc).
Ideally would like something stock or near stock deodexed
Cheers

There are options available to fit your needs in the I9505 Android development section
Hi everyone,
I have a Galaxy S4 that is a Canadian version (SGH-i337m).
It is currently running Android Kitkat 4.4.2 (Latest Update) - Stock Android.
As I do not like it, has so many buys and seems a battery killer, I was wondering am I able to downgrade to JellyBean 4.3?
Things you need to know about my device;
It is currently KNOX void 0x1
I have downloaded an official Android JellyBean 4.3 that is the stock to this phone
Is it possible to downgrade at this point? I do not want to install a cusom rom, I want to install the official JellyBean 4.3 that I have
If it is possible, can someone please tell me how?
Thank you
No its not possible, you'll brick ur phone
