I have Mokee 6.0 release version on LG G2 D802 32GB.
Recently I pressed the button in notification panel to switch on the torch and nothing happened plus the torch icon disappeared. Also, the camera could not open. Now it says "Can not connect to the camera".
Any torch app says that camera is in use by some other app.
I tried to reboot my phone - and ever since then every boot takes about 20 minutes or even more.
I also tried resetting, wiping cache and data, downgrading to an earlier ROM version, disassembling the phone, reattaching contacts and cleaning the details, but everything stays the same and my phone still boots for about half an hour + camera and torch do not work.
What can you suggest?
Thanks in advance.

Please help me or assist me with fixing my phone camera. I am a noob to Android phones but I'm technical (MCSE,CNE, A+,Security+)
Problem:
My SGH-I337 is about 2 months old. I applied the UCUAMF3 update OTA and afterwards everything worked fine but I found the camera program took a long time to load and would only display a black screen. I would have to restart the phone and launch the camera first to get it to work. Today I continued to have this problem but could never get the camera to work. It would only display a black screen and I can touch the screen and see the focus square and I can select settings and change mode but it takes a long time. There is about a 15-30 second delay after touching a menu option on the screen. At first I was able to switch to the rear (screen) camera and it would work but eventually that stopped. If I let it sit on the screen with the camera I will here a beep every so often but it may be because I've touched the buttons. Everything else works fine and I have no problem with anything except the camera app or any app that tries to use the camera like Amazon to scan a barcode or Facebook to take a picture. Usually these apps become unresponsive and then quit. A couple times I got a message that said Camera Failed.
Things I tried:
Rebooting and removing battery
booting in to safe mode and the problem is the exact same
Force stoping camera app and doing a clear data and clear cache
Wiping cache partition.
Phone:
AT&T Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-I337
Update applied OTA on approximately 7/10
JDQ39.I337UCUAMF3
also tried factory reset
I also did a factory reset and the camera will not work. Only a black screen.

fyi: I had exactly the same problem before the update.
After the update, the problem persisted. I did a hard reset after updating and the problem went away. The problem has not returned since.

when you say hard reset is that the same thing as restoring to factory defaults?

Yes. I went into Settings>Accounts>Backup and reset>Factory data reset
Hardware or Software
So far I've done the hard reset twice via the hardware buttons and once from the software. I'm still puzzled if this is hardware or software. I read that the july update had new camera firmware and that is when my problem started. But since everyone is not having this problem I would guess it isn't a widespread. Still not sure if it is hardware or software. Which I could re-apply that July ROM again to see if that fixes it.
My rear camera flash is lit up. When I power it off, the flash is still lit. I have tried clearing my cache, a full factory reset, and even tried taking a picture to try and turn it off. It is still on. I'm currently running the battery til its dead, at 65% now, and do a full recharge to see it if fixes it. I'm running on a fully stock Rom with no updates to install. Any ideas are more than welcome. Thanks.
Looks like nobody replied to this. Given the few days that have past, you may have already resolved this issue, but I'll have a go at it anyways. My first thought is that since the light stays on even when the device is off, it could very well be a hardware defect. My second thought is that you should open up the flashlight app (or download one from the play store if it didn't come with a rom) and attempt to toggle the LED via the app.
I recently upgraded from an LG Optimus G to the GS5. I looked at the camera functions, then rooted my device and am not using any ROM. Now I am unable to reach the settings-mode of the camera so the only functions I am able to adjust are the four that are currently show screen icons. I am unable to make any camera adjustments. What do I do to bring-back the settings function for the camera. Thanks

I have no idea when it occurred since this was the second time I opened the camera app. The only thing I did was root my phone, un-root it, then root it again. I had some issues when I was trying to paste some files onto my SD card while it was rooted the first time; I erased cache on the "reboot" screen which caused problems with the phone constantly having a message that my weather app was not working, I mean 100% of the time without letting me do anything at all, literally, until I stopped the weather app. I'm not aware of anything I did did which had any connection to the camera.
There is no apparent reason why rooting per se would affect the camera app.
Try clearing the cache from recovery mode (pull battery, replace. then press and hold in order volume up, home then power keys). If the problem persists, then go to the application manager in the settings menu and clear the cache and data for the camera app.

Last week, I took my phone off the charger and noticed that the home button was not working. Did multiple reboots, clean wipes and also reinstalled the stock ROM, nothing worked. Did the *#808# fingerprint test and found that the figerprint sensor was not responding which led me to believe this could be a hardware issue. I did not have the time to go to the service center so I turned on the on-screen navigation bar and used it like this for a few days.
Today, I thought I'd try to sort this out one more time before I take it to the service center. The *#808# fingerprint test still showed the sensor not available. Rebooted the phone and turned the on-screen nav bar off. Lo and behold the home key started working. I do not know how this happened, I'm just glad that it did.
Just thought I'll post here so that if anyone has issues they could try this out and it might help someone.
Cheers.:good:

Hi. I have the same issue on my op3t, Oxygeos Version 9.05. My home and recents buttons do not work but fingerprint works fine. I turned on the on-screen nav bar and the home and recents buttons don't work there as well. Turning it off didn't solve anything. Any idea? Thanks
Facing exactly the same issue after upgrade to 9.0.5. home and recent buttons are not working, but fingerprint is working fine. Did you resolve this issue by any chance? if yes, please let me know as well how it was resolved. thanks. -ramesh
Try doing a factory reset, but take a backup before doing that.
Sent from my OnePlus 3T using XDA Labs
I am also facing this issue. It started off with a boot loop into the recovery every time i try to start the phone. It stopped after i cleared cache from recovery, but the default launcher doesnt work properly, no notifications in my drawer, and many other issues. the hardware buttons are responding (it lights up when i tap on it) but the OS doesn't do anything with it. I have tried with switching to the soft keys and it behaves the same way as well. the fingerprint scanner and back button works so far.
i'm having this problem too Got a OP3T, i found out a bit of info, it has to do with the screen, i'm still facing this problem so im gonna buy a replacement screen and see how it goes, ive already replaced the earphone jack board that houses most the flex cable connections and i also replaced the speaker, home button, and the usb c flex cable to no avail. what i haven't tried was to replace the battery and the main/sub flex cable inside. i'd really like a fix for this.
go to Settings -> Apps -> All Apps (ie including System apps)
look for com.android.fingerprint... or com.oneplus.fingerprint...
"Force Stop" it. and go to its storage and "Clear Cache" , "Delete Data" .
Now restart the Phone.
Worked for me on OnePlus3T running OxygenOS 9.0.5.
Phone was also on charging through out the procedure .. I doubt if it would have any significance though.
Good Luck.
I could not force stop this app.
MY SOLUTION
this is what it worked for me with OP5
I deactivated fingerprint, reboot to recovery, wipe cache+dalvik, restart (without fingerprint anymore) and it seems to be working just fine again.
I have observed this issue too in my oneplus 3 with oxygen os 9.0.6 and also in previous releases. The only thing that works for me is just to reboot the phone.

Hi people! Recently I've been having problems with stock camera app on my s8. Normally using both cameras, taking some photos and and when I click to exit from it, camera keeps working, all buttons on screen would freeze and I wait like 5 seconds to actually exit and even worse, sometimes it won't start recording after i clikc REC button, just stays there and does nothing. Is this like common problem, maybe due to pie 9.0 update? Maybe any possible apps that causes interference ? One more thing, after exiting from it i get a notification something like this "gallery app keeps crushing, using too much battery, put it to sleep?"
I have tried solving it with clearing camera and gallery data and app cache, whole partrition cache, uninstalling gallery update, problem still not gone. Thanks.
First step: Factory Reset
