open .tot or keymaster.img in a hexeditor and search for "km_aes_export_key".

yes users have done it without problem. you should use cm11 and arc kernel though for best results.

i dont know, i dont have stock firmware or kernel. i'd flash to a custom, add the bands, then go back to stock.
