[Q] Flashing custom rom

Hey,
I'm newbie to windows phone, so i have a few questions. My SPL version is 4.3.2250. Can i use this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647) guide to install HSPL. I want to flash this rom to my phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2080612. But ther is no guide on how to flash it. Can u tell me how to do it?

First download RUU_Mondrian_Cingular_US_1.52.502.04_5.66.09.09_22.46.50_RELEASE.exe from FileFactory, unpack and DELETE RUU_signed.nbh. Then run ROMUpdateUtility.exe. It will downgrade your SPL to 1.52. After reboot reset your device and hold “Volume Down” button during reset to enter OSPL mode. You must make sure than your SPL is 1.52, or your phone will be broken. Then you will be able to install HSPL and flash custom ROMs. :good:

Gold: “PC92****”, “PC921000”
Mozart: “MOZA1000”, “PD67****”, “PD671000”, “PD671200”
Mondrian: “PD26****”, “PD261000”, “PD261100”
Spark: “PC401000”
Schubert: “PD29****”, “PD291000”, “PD291100”, "PD291200", "PD291300", "PD291500"
and my mondrian mid is pd26100. not pd261000, does the pd26**** include mine? since that one has one more digit than mine. or is mine not supported?
also, i bought it used. how can i know if it has opl or not? can i flash to 7.8 rom rom mango? stock rom? ps when i go into bootloader mode i get White screen with text about Factory restore, so does that mean it has ospl?

can anyone helo me please?

Your MID is PD261000. Don't worry, u can't see the last digit in the bootloader screen. Read that guide one more time

Your MID is PD261000. Don't worry, u can't see the last digit in the bootloader screen. Read that guide one more time[/QUOTE]
yeah but on the back of my phone under the battery cover it says pd26100

My First Droid Razr M Experience

I got a Droid Razr M for an upgrade, Worked great so i rooted it, Still worked great all that day, then i went to sleep and when i woke and the WiFi would not work!
The toggle switch turned a darker gray, When i tap it it turns on then in a split second turns back off.
I have done a Factory Data Reset and then i did a hard reset and then i wiped the hole thing out and re flashed it to its original state. Still would not work!
So as a last resort contact Motorola for support and they tell me that i had rooted my device and there is nothing they can do. I didn't say anything about rooting it so they must be logging all users data. (Invasion of Privacy?)
So i am back here again, Not being able to use WiFi, On a 2GB/M plan. f%$king peace of $#!+.
Nothing else is bad! Its just the wifi!?

It is probably your fault. A broken radio is your burden why do you think they do not want you rooting? The radio partition can get borked very easily. You need to renew it.

There is a lot of verbal running on there but few steps. Read the rsd tutorial & get rsd to see the phone while you have the phone in bootloader - fastboot. Then stop & check in here again....

Well i downloaded the last link (VZW_XT907-4.1.2-9.8.1Q-66_1FF.XML.ZIP) and had RSD try and Flash it while it was in Fastboot mode... It failed saying "6/19 flash tz "tz.mbn" -> Phone returned FAIL."
Did i do something wrong?

That is the err you would get if your boot was locked.

& then paste the mod into it!!!

I think you can follow the prev rzr method but it is a method similar to mine but for locked BL @ 600 + mb . Not just the new motochopper.

Ok, SaturnsVoid... so, first, sorry to hear about the problem. Motorola/VZ is giving you BS... rooting won't break your WiFi unless you did something or installed something that would...
What's your current system version?
Have you taken any OTAs since you had it? If not, you may still be able to unlock.
Also, may want to try using WiFi Connection Fixer on the Play Store (requires root...)
If those don't work, try PMing me... I can help you work it out...

A possible way to fix bootlooped F500 S/K/L(wrong systemroot.img flashing)

This post if for those who tried to root the korean variant of LG G4 and stuck at a boot loop. As finding a KDZ or TOT is almost impossible(there is one chinese site which supposedly has those files but even after registration you still unable access them, for those who wanna try:
F500K:

There is another way brought up by pereradileepa, which is described in another chinese forum:

In this method you need to flash H815 kdz, you can find it here:

after flashing the kdz, you should root it, enable debugging mode, and flash via adb the folowing file:

this should restore your reception signal.
*I personally havent tried this method, and i do not take any responsibility for it or anything it might do to your phone.
If you try it, im sure many F500 users will be happy to know if it worked.

As reported this will be only working in F500L..
Mine is now working okay but as a friend of my told..hard reset will again bring your phone to a death state. So ill be using this untill they release the KDZ.

The problem is to download the version 9.22 software tool.
You need to enter the qq group, expected to accept the group and still not send you the password to download.

I think the tool has the command "dd if = /, bs, seek and count .." hardcoded in software.
If we have to do one by one, we would have to know these parameters and partitions, which are unknown.

Your carrier is the other thing you need to think about.

I got the phone from AT&T so I guess it has its carrier, I just want the stock rom to reflash it

If you can boot to the bootloader, you need to flash the firmware with adb/fastboot. If you can't boot to the bootloader, you may have a brick.

Isn't the "Retail" version the one on the unlocked E4's?

The retail unlocked model is XT1768. Unless someone knows otherwise, I think there are really only two US versions (well and the Verizon bootloader version) - one with a fingerprint reader and one without. I would go ahead and try the retail firmware, but maybe only flash the system partition to be safe.

I have sprint xt1766 and trying to flash retail firmaware but nothing works, does anyone have working rom without bloatware that can be flashed on sprint's xt1766? Thank you

yup, this ( https://www.needrom.com/download/moto-e4-xt1762-nma26-42-75-row-official-rom/ ) rom worked perfectly! however, it has bloatware, but with root and a little of creativity you can get rid of it, thank you very much!!!

So I couldn't find anything in the forums but does anyone know where I go to enter the unlock pin? I have it there's just no instructions on where to enter it to unlock my device.

There is an app.

You use the app that's preinstalled on your phone.

Is the phone paid off in its entirety and did you wait 40days after you brought the phone?
If you just want a temp unlock, I think you can request it on the app.

So there is a forum here on how to convert it to the international version. That's what I did. And I completely bypassed needing to wait 40 days and paying off the phone. If I find the post I will link it for you

Yes, I paid it off once I got it and I waited 40 days. I think the app is just broken for me.

tap on the screen so that it gives you option to type your pin instead of using fingerprint.

I can't get it to work. I downloaded everything but when I run the MsmDownload tool it works for 16 seconds then I get an "Sahara Communication Failed" message

I have converted to international version but its doesn't unlocks sim I have ordered sim unlock service from https://www.cellunlocker.net/t-mobile-unlock-app/ after sim unlock you can convert to international version. If your phone has bad imei (financed) you cant use phone in USA. If imei is clean it will work with any network in USA

Ok! So it worked! I just had to download the patched version of the MSM tool and it rebooted and everything and no more TMobile logo. Thanks guys!

No, it doesn't but I don't necessarily need the SIM unlocked. I tested Fi on here and it works fine. That's the only other carrier that I use and in my area I'm usually on the T-Mobile part anyway.
