Tmobile s7 edge, running greenify aggressive, suddenly apps are reporting not connected. Facebook, Google now searches, bunches of apps.. have to try searches a 2nd time, refresh manually or close and restart apps. Doesn't seem to be tied to screen off and doesn't matter if on wifi or mobile.. very annoying, it's like any background app is getting denied data until relaunched. Any ideas?

So for the second day straight my phone battery has dropped to half in about 4 hours screen off in my pocket... After closing every program and turning off data sync, the 3G connection is still constantly in use. I downloaded a network traffic program to check usage, and to my surprise my phone had downloaded over 60MB in just 1 hour. I restarted the phone and the problem seemed to be fixed, however it's started back up again, even after restarts and switch from airplane mode and back.
I'm already using SwitchPro, I have all sync options turned off already. The problem didn't come up until a few days ago.
I haven't installed any new programs or widgets in the last couple of daysIs anyone else having a similar issue? Have you been able to solve it?
I had the same issue then I flashed Fresh. Now it is working proper. I would suggest flashing a dif ROM or factory reset.
Load aLogcat or Quicksysteminfo , from market and look at your logcat file. The cause will be obvious from there. If the phone is "idle" and the logcat is recording what's doing the data moving, you can then kill it.
Is it me or is the hands free Bluetooth constantly running even when unchecked.Maybe im looking at the log cat wrong but it appears that way
It looks like location services was using all that data. I think anyway, I'm not sure If read the logcat right, but a lot of that information dealt with location stuff. I went to settings, privacy, and disable google services from using my location and the constant 3g seems to have stopped.
Why would it just go ape **** like that after having the phone for 3 weeks?
I just noticed the same problem, turns out it was the people app that was causing it. I killed it and data traffic stopped. You can launch it from the menu and it loads back up and is fine. Just seems to be when it starts by itself when you first boot up the phone.
Does anyone know exactly how to diagnose Google Services running down my battery? I've tried disabling individual bits and pieces that seem related, but whenever I check OS Monitor there doesn't seem to be any single culprit, yet my battery continues to plummet.... Also, the Gallery app goes nuts from time to time and hammers the CPU, even when it hasn't been run. Logs suggest some kind of face scanning going on, despite it being disabled in the apps settings. Only work around for that it seems is disabling Gallery, or manually killing the process whenever it respawns.
I've used the same Google account and the same data on an S2 and a Note 2 with no issues from Google Services, but since day one with the S4 it's a problem. Yes, I've tried a factory reset etc etc, I'm not a complete n00b
Hello, today my LG G2 D800 began to act strangely.
When Data or Wifi is turned on, it crashes and gets stuck in a boot loop indefinitely.
When data or wifi is turned off, everything works fine.
I do not know what would cause this problem. I booted to safe mode to see if it's an installed application, but it still crashes when data is turned on.
I did not drop the phone or have any other physical damage.
I am running 4.4.2.
Any help is appreciated. I googled about this problem, and nothing similar comes up.
I suddenly encountered this issue today after recording a voice memo.
Straight after accepting it, my phone started into a reboot loop. I spent a couple of hours trying to figure it out, even tried to get into the recovery mode without success.
It wasn't until I started turning things off, wifi data sync etc that the phone started operating again.
One by one i turned them back on again and it turns out that it was the auto sync causing the reboot.
Currently it's off and I'm writing this on it, but I would like to turn it back on again.
Any ideas?
I have same issue. Just started today. As soon as phone starts to auto synch it reboots. Switching off wifi or data links stopped this until I could disable auto synch in settings. I think its something to do with the new Google update. This really sucks!!!
Same happens to me also i am running a 442g on lg g2 d802 since yesterday evening bam autosync got screwed
Wow, I disabled autosync, and then turned on data and it's fine.
Thanks for recognizing this. Who would have thought that it could be that?
Now that we have recognized the problem, how do we resolve it?
Clearing all data of the Google App resolves the boot loop issue.

It looks like clearing all data of the Google App seems to resolve the boot loop issue.
However, what looks like a sync icon is constantly on, the battery seems to run out faster and the phone is warmer.
In the Settings go to Apps
Find and select Google App in one of the columns
Select Manage space then Clear all data
Enable sync, connect to the internet and check if this resolves the issue
Delete and return google account to resolve on-going sync issue
As described by user webfrank in a post titled "g2 d802 reboots when sync enabled" at Android Central (as a new user I cannot post links) in order to resolve the on-going sync issue perform the following steps:
Delete Google account
Clear data from the Google App, Google Play services, and Google services Framework
Reboot device
Reconfigure the Google account
Hmm, is there no other way to resolve this problem?
Why do I need to delete my google account and readd my google account?
What do I do if I have multiple google accounts added? Do I need to remove them all?

I found that clearing data from various Google apps was not enough to resolve the continuous sync issue, while disconnecting the phone from the Google account is not such a big nuisance.
I've noticed this so far with Gmail, Facebook and News Republic
Intermittently Facebook will show a 'can't connect right now' message which won't correct unless I switch off my data connection and start again. The exact same occurs with News Republic which is a news feed app. With Gmail it's a little different - it goes through phases of not push updating and instead me having to go into the app to refresh and find 10 new emails
I've gone to settings and made sure none of them are set to stop notifications for battery optimisation, and made sure they all have access to background data. I do tend to switch between normal and power saving mode with a tendency to power saving mode and I wonder whether it's related to that? Anyone else noticing similar issues?
Also noticing the same, running systemless xposed + root, a few xposed addons which I've disabled ones I felt could potentially be causing the issue.
Still no luck, it's annoying.
Hi,
I've been having issues recently on the data transfer being stopped when my phone is idle.
Sometimes, I'm in the Play Store and when I wake up the phone I get an error message saying Google Play needs background data enabled.
I use Pushbullet and sometimes I get 5-6 notifications synced to my PC only when I wake up the phone (they were not transferred while the phone was closed).
Same thing with Gmail.
I have disabled battery optimization for Pushbullet & Gmail for sure. Play services cannot be optimized anyways I think.
Any ideas why it would do this ? Doze being to agressive ?
Thanks.
