This is my first post on XDA developers and let me start by saying thanks to all developers for all those great ROMS out there. Have been a user of your modifications since day one. Recently though, I have been having problems with my Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-900F). With the latest CM13 nightlies/Open GApps installed my screen keeps flickering when I push the Home button or On/Off button. I have TWRP installed as custom recovery and have done several clean installs with the same end results (the screen keeps flickering). I suspect this is related to the CM13 nightlies because it doesn't happen when I install a different ROM (say MIUI). It's driven me crazy because , although I can use the phone when I'm quick enough to press on an app while it's flickering, it takes forever to get out. Any help is appreciated!
cm-13.0-20160622-NIGHTLY
open_gapps-arm-6.0-mini-20160623
TWRP v2.8.7.0
Clean install:
1. Wipe Dalvik Cache/System/Data/Internal Storage/Cache
2. Install CM13
3. Wipe Cache/Dalvik
4. Install Open GApps
5. Wipe Cache/Dalvik
6. Reboot

For camera issue, flash banks minimal package gapps, for bootloop: have you tried holding the power button till it powers off and then power it on again? Hope I could help
Full Wipe ? What Build have you Flashed ?
On my Find5 it Works fine ! > Better than CM11
Hello,
I upgraded my Verizon Galaxy S4 from CM11 to CM12 last night, using the nightly build from 1/7/2015. The upgrade went smoothly, except for gapps. I have not been able to get them to successfully run on Lollipop. I have tried the following builds of gapps:
PA GAPPS
2014-11-09
2014-12-20
I use the following installation process each time:
Boot into CWM 6.0.3.2
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
mounts and storage > format /system
wipe dalvik cache
install CM.zip
install gapps.zip
When I reboot the phone, it gets into the lock screen as expected, but when I swipe it to unlock, I instantly get a stream of errors ("Setup wizard has stopped", "Google+ has stopped", etc). The exact errors depend on which gapps version I install, since they come with (slightly) different apps in the packages.
Has anyone had success with the Lollipop gapps packages and CyanogenMod?

I tried that one again - no dice. com.google.process.gapps crashes on startup, followed by a long list of other Google apps included in the package.
Same problem.

Nexus 7 2013 WiFi
Any fix for this? I've been struggling with it for a whole day now.
I have not found a fix. I reverted back to KitKat since I needed to use my phone during the week.
Bump
I finally managed to fix the problem. All the clean flashes did nothing, and I made sure they were squeaky clean, so I decided to start from scratch. I ODIN'd back to stock, installed TWRP instead of Clockworkmod, and reinstalled the rom and gapps package. I booted into the setup wizard and all is right in the world. Thanks for all who helped me!
Do you know what version of CWM you were running? I might try updating it over the weekend and see if that works as an alternate solution.
Try this. This worked for me.

Before adding gapps after flashing cm-12 wipe dalvik and cache, flash ktoonz lollipop kernel then flash gapps for lollipop. This worked for me.

Hey I'm having the same problem, can you describe how in Odin you got back to stock? You flashed stock and lost your custom recovery? That's weird, I figured a custom recovery was like a bios
I'm trying to flash my Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 3G (SM-T531) to the ROM Lineage 14.1 (lineage-14.1-20170309-0134-UNOFFICIAL-matisse3g).
But after flashing and rebooting my tablet get stuck on a screen with Samsung Logo and two messages on the top:
KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING
Set Warranty Bit: Kernel
I've researched a lot and tried a lot of different things, but same result. If I go back to the stock firmware it works just fine.
The procedure a adopted was:
1- Reset to factory defaults on the stock firmware
2- Install TWRP (twrp-3.1.0-0-matisse) through Odin
3- Wipe Dalvik Cache, Cache, System and Data
4- Flash Lineage (lineage-14.1-20170309-0134-UNOFFICIAL-matisse3g)
5- Flash Stock GApps 7.1 (open_gapps-arm-7.1-stock-20170825)
6- Wipe Dalvik Cache
7- Reboot
My main intention on installing this new firmware is because the latest available firmware for my tablet on Brazil is 4.4.2 and I can install a lot of apps (including WhatsApp).
Does anyone can suggest or help me?
Thanks!
that message is normal...
I know... But my tablet is on this screen for almost 45 minutes... I believe that is not normal...
How could I solve it?
Anyone?
I had a similar issue trying to flash crdroid which is LOS 14 based. I wound up skipping step 6 and it worked. Could try redownloading the ROM though
Problem stills, any more tips?
After flashing the tablet stills on Samsung logo, but emits sounds when clicking on Volume Up, Volume Down, Home Button, Power Button... As it is responding normally but the screen keep stuck on Samsung logo.
Hi... any more tips?
Old but, anyone solved this? I tried Android 9 and 11, TWRP 3.6
I have a Nexus 6P and have tried many ROMS but the last few times I've tried installing a ROM (ABC Rom) it installs properly, I set the phone up and install all my apps but after a few reboots when I enter my password/pin the screen goes black for a second then it pops right back up. I downgraded back to Nougat (Pure Nexus) and the problem went away so it seems to only be an oreo issue. Anyone have any ideas?
My install process...
Wipe everything in TWRP
Install ROM/GApps
Wipe Davlik/Cache
Reboot
Initial Setup
Reboot to TWRP
Install Magisk
Reboot
The title says it all, i have been using a custom ROM (Havoc OS) and the LolZ kernel with magisk, it works perfectly but as soon as i restart the system. it bootloops and i have to keep restoring, re installing and so on until it finally works.
Does anyone have an idea of what might be going on?
device: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-N9005 hlte
Even more info incase you need it:
Steps to create problem for me:
Install Havoc OS
Install LolZ kernel
Install Magisk
Boot and use
Restart
(problem comes)
Steps to fix (Before):
Install Havoc OS
Get rid of remainders of magisk for lolz kernel
Install LolZ kernel
Install Magisk
Restore Data partition
Reboot to System
Right now nothing is working, ill try another way and update this
also, i noticed that instead of storage being in
/storage/emulated/0
its now in
/sdcard
according to twrp
Ok this should be the actuall way excluding ALL ways:
1. Reboot to cause the issue lol
2. Go to recovery (twrp recommended)
3. repair the system partition and data partition.
4. Shut down then connect to cable.
5. Let it boot, if it dosent boot to kernel and goes to recovery, try reformatting, 6. restoring, dont touch what you dont want lost etc then start from step 3 (If it goes to charging anim, ignore this step)
6. Let the charge animation play
7. after the screen turns off / you know the charging animation played
8. Boot via power button
9. Works!
Now i really feel a tiny bit better when rebooting my phone XD
If it bootloops after step 8, try reformatting, wiping, repairing, restoring etc-
