Do we know what type of Dual sim this phone uses? I'd love it if it was dual active so I could use it as a double line for business & personal without missing a beat.

From what I've read online about the phone, the dual SIM is one slot is 4G LTE and the other is 2G/3G ONLY.
This is verified at the GSMArena website: SIM: Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) http://www.gsmarena.com/zte_axon_7-8067.php
I hope this helps... :good:

Hello Everyone.. Need an Help. I want to know is their any way to use an CDMA sim in Galaxy 3 ?
I don't think you will be able to use cdma sim as frequencies used in our phone and the sim are different (a lot).
This is why the same phone is released twice (once gsm and other cdma) in some countries where cdma is used more
T mobile 3g frequency in america is about 100 Mhz more than what most of phones over there can operate at. That is why it lost popularity.
If there was a way why would phones have a limit to their frequecies

Do CDMA phones even use Sims? I'm pretty sure the network is built in to the phone.

Nahi re rahul...you can not do that. its GSM phone.
I can't find a clear answer on this, does the nexus 4 use both a standard sim card, a micro sim card, or does it support both?
Thanks in advance

Nexus 4 is micro SIM.
Thank you. Does every carrier have micro sim cards? Currently I only have a regular sim card and am not sure if Fido has micro sims.

I think they all do, yeah. Just give them a call and they'll be able to let you know
I currently have an LG Optimus one with a normal size sim. When I get the Nexus 4 I plan on cutting the sim to micro sim dimensions then sticking it in my new device. Will it work instantly with my existing plan from my Optimus one?

Mine didn't when I moved to the ONE X
So, I jumped on amazon and bought myself a noosy micro SIM cutter.
Worked a treat

Thanks. I just checked fidos website. They do have micro sims. They even have a dual format (micro sim + regular) so I can use my existing captivate as a backup still.

That's a shame, its fun cutting your own.
You go from scared and worried, to really happy and impressed in a few seconds lol
Its a strange old feeling. Haha

Lol yes. If I had to I would try cutting it, but that would mean I couldn't use my cappy as a backup afterwards. Definitely glad fido has the dual sim card option for that reason.

I'm on O2 UK with a full-size SIM. Do you think I could just ask them to give me a micro-SIM?
SIM
The phone has a micro-sim and if you cant get hold of a micro then the only decision is to cut it yourself. The sim still works equally well!

Or just ask your carrier for a new sim. Cutters are fun but why not get a new doggie

I had an iPhone 4 so I had to cut my Sim card but when I moved to HTC Inspire 4G then I still had the extra pieces so i fitted them in the device. Now when I will get Nexus 4, I can simply use the Micro Sim and keep those pieces to a safe place

I'm on T-Mobile UK and when I asked they said it would cost me £10. I tried to cut my own, but the chip is huge! What I did was ring them up and they were able to credit me the money to my next bill. Give that a try...I'm not saying it will work, but its worth a try.

T-mobile charged you £10? I'm with three, and I just walked into my local store a few months back and they exchanged it for me for free.

Don't quote me on it but if your carrier supports any phones that require a micro sim, then yes

Yeah, they call is an "admin fee"...not sure why. All the guy did was get a new SIM, scan it in and then enter in my phone number and details. If I hadn't got my money back I wouldn't have been too happy about it.
AT&T gave me one for free as well..

Yes, it will immediately work.
I love my Desire Z but it's getting old and slow. I noticed that many cool new qwerty phones are being released in the USA like the Motorola Photon Q and the new Samsung galaxy Relay. Here in Europe, phones work with sim cards. I could be wrong in this, but I noticed that all these new phones have their sim-card soldered on the board, so I couldn't use it with my own provider if I wanted to.
Are there currently any worthwhile qwerty Android phones (at least a good dual core) out there or coming soon that have a SIM card slot?
The galaxy relay is GSM and has a sim slot

Sweet! I see it has been rooted, as well. I'll pick one up next time I'm in the States.
Make sure to check the bands so you'll know if it runs on your carrier

Hi All,
I just purchased a dual sim adapter from Magic Sim for my Note 3 N9005.
The problem is, it can only keep one sim active at a time.
My question is, are there any application available in Android ?
It does not fulfill my purpose of having two sim cards active at the same time, My intention is to use one sim for calling and other for only data.
If anyone has any ideas please help me out.

Nope you will need to get the duel sim version or if your with orange or EE in the UK i know they can add a 2nd line to your current contract or you maybe able to set up call divert from one sim to the other :^)

I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as a 4G dual sim model.
At least the Dual SIM models I've seen myself are 3G ONLY...
Certainly if it's exynos there will be no 4G
just FYI
I know I can always forward calls but my purpose of having two active sims doesn't fulfill. My second sim is only a data sim card. I wanted to usr my second sim for data plan. I have seen other Android dual sim phones that give option to choose data plans from a particular sim. I thought it was going to be similar..
Their products website does say it supports 4g and I can use it too but only one sim. So if I switch to my data sim then I can use 4g but my phone calling sim gets switched off.
I was looking for an application that can help me keep both my sim cards active.

There are BT units available which allows 3 or 4 sim active, but only supports gsm, if you need 4g, the main usim will go into the phone.

I send a message to their technical support team. They replied as
"Yes you can although you will need to get your phone unlocked first"
Therefore i need to unlock my note 3 SCL22, before buying dual SIM adapter.

i bought the q-sim and the only problem that i have is to restart the phone to change sim card.
Getting a one plus 6t in January and planning on using it overseas in Phillipines. I want to use there sim and my tmobile sim. I know tmobile works over there but it's 128kbs. I'm going to be buying a globe sim and using it too. Wanted to know if I have both Sims in how will data and voice calls go?

You specify data sim.
Calls come in on both.
6t does not support Dual Sim Dual active.
tech_head is correct on how to use two sims.
