Hopefully tot method will work.
Currently it cannot be done with Kingroot. We need to use recovery method (TWRP) in order to install SuperSU.
Merely hanging a note if anything comes of it. ?

I like it. Screen is nice. Battery life is great (got over 8 SOT first night). It never gets hot. PERFECT size for reading comic books.
Negatives: Might be slightly underpowered. I've felt some lags and frame skipping in the animations. Speaker is not great. Not having root is a (hopefully temporary) drag. "Android OS" is keeping my tablet from deep sleeping and I don't know how to tell what is actually keeping it awake.

Sorry to be so off topic here but after using the tablet for a few more days I can say the only game it really "struggled" with (frame skipping) was Lara Craft Go. I've played Limbo, KotOR and others since and only ever caught the occasional lag. I'm very impressed with the Snapdragon 617, so impressed I ordered a Moto G that uses the same chip.
Can you play 60fps video in YouTube? Mine doesn't display it as an option (will only go up to 480p in videso with 720p/60fps and 1080p/60fps

There used to be v10b source code and it disappeared two days ago. Today there is source code for a newer version v10c: LGV521WG_Marshmallow_Android_V521WG_v10c.

I have a stock N7 and accepted the over the air standard update to 4.2. Now I'm getting quite a bit of screen flicker. Has anyone else seen this?
Nope. That's pretty strange.

I thought so too.
Yeah I've noticed the increase too, coming from custom ROMs and modified kernels I think it's understandable. However googles failure to fix this is disappointing.

How do you disable prism?

I have updated my nexus 7 to 4.2 OTA. And i can confirm, with sorrow, that 4.2 ruined the tabled for me. I had some minor flicker with 4.1.2 but was very rare and i was OK with it. But now it's crazy. The strange thing is that the screen does not flicker constantly. It flickers 4/5 times and it settels down. This is in every single app i run, even on home screen. WiFI is off, the tablet was factory reseted ... this sux ... i send a mail to Asus to see that they know about it ...
I had to use Tegra Prism on 4.1 to fix the flicker - which is caused by the brightness changing slightly (still happens if you turn auto-brightness off).
I haven't updated to 4.2 yet (too many bugs) so maybe Google made prism more aggressive or something?
It's a paid app though, but you got 15minutes to test if it works or claim the refund.

DON'T TRY IT UNLESS YOU CAN CAREFULLY READ INSTRUCTIONS AND YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING.
Even though it's quite safe I still recommend it for people that can strictly follow instructions. I've tried it. It's safe. But only if You FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS
UPDATE I found this little app that kind of replaces Always on. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hisl.glance.free
I was playing with my phone quite a lot recently. And I found a couple of intereting things.
1. Flash system.img +boot.img through odin of G925F.
Result: Edge features work. Yup. It means that Night Clock works too!
But. The touchscreen is inverted.
Quick fix: flash g920f kernel(and lose edge functionality immediately) then go to dialer, dial *#2663# and download touchscreen driver to get rid of mirrored touch.
Full detailed instructions:
ProtoDeVNan0 said:
I haven't tested lightning edge yet. But all You have to do is:
1. Download stock rom for G925F from sammobile.
2. Open the tar file and remove all files except system.img and boot.img.
3. Flash it.
4. You'll get inverted x axis of touchscreen. So when You touch left side of the screen. The touchscreen will recognize it as if You were touching the right side.
5. You can now somehow go to settings (using the inverted touchscreen) or a keyboard or a mouse. And turn on night clock and other edge features.
6. To go back to normal touchscreen. You'll have to follow strictly those steps:
1.Flash stock boot.img for G920F using odin.
2. Dial *#2663#(on inverted touchscreen You'd have to tap #*2441*) and tap on tsp touch update.
3. Reflash stock rom for G920F with odin.
4. Enjoy.

So my guess is that to port always on feature we will need to somehow port the kernel functionality. Cause it seems that it works the same way.( yes I did manage to get always on display for couple of seconds to work. But IT NEARLY KILLED MY PHONE so don't try that on Your devices. And I won't post a guide.how to do that. It's a serious danger.)
For now I'll play with those things a little more now and see what I can do. (Obviously not much).
Oh and a question for developers!
What does ro.expect.recovery_id= mean in build prop? Isn't it something connected with inability to get twrp to work on MM?
Anyway guys. I just wanted to share my experience with You. And btw I'm working on a Galaxy S7 port for G920F(even though it seems kinda hard to do..)
DO NOT EVEN TRY to flash or boot another device's boot.img/recovery.img to different device! It can cause permantly damage on your device!
ro.expect.recovery_id doesn't prevent anything on TWRP.

They have identical CPU's(motherboards most likely too). And I only said boot.img from G925F on G920F. Also I wouldn't tell anyone to do something that can destroy their device.
I tried it on my device first. It's like rom developers would give to other users untested roms lol.
Quick Edit: It's a good advice. Don't ever do that, but if someone with some "knowledge" has done it, and tried it, and also it's identical devices then You can try it too.
But only when it's SAFE and confirmed to not cause any harm.
Why would you want this? It's going to be a battery vampire.
It takes less battery on the S7 because the SoCs are more efficient being 2nd Gen FinFet.

Some people want it. But like I said chances of getting it to work are 0.000001% if not less . Personally I'll wait till S7 price goes down. and then I'll buy it. Maybe I'll get S7 edge but I would need a 5 minute test drive first. And I think that it wouldn't be a battery "vampire" that much. But we probably will never be able to check that.

I'm working on CM13 so sorry if I don't check this thread.
Anyway. Amoled displays usually have burn in problems. But so far I guess Samsung fixed it on S6.
Had the phone since this past Sunday and have only charged it one time. Phone came delivered with 100% battery straight from Amazon. I literally am dumbfounded as to how efficient this thing is and how snappy and lagless it is as well. I'll let the screenshots do the rest of the talking. This phone is amazing!
It runs on magic and unicorns. I used to be all stingy with battery back when I had my Moto G 2014 but once I got this little beast I stopped caring, even when foregoing all optimizations I still get at least 8 hours of SoT.
Im really curious is this more of a SD625 thing or a Motorola thing.
A thorough head to head with the other 625s would be interesting

If you uninstall s health and then install and older version before 5.0 it will work and then you can update to the latest s health within the app. That's what worked for me at least
So what your saying is use Samsung S health 4.8 apk and it will work for root

Also, the duel speaker mod works with Nougat and it's not broken meaning it works with everything! In 6.0 some music apps didnt work like blackplayer, utube, spotify, stock samsung music and video apps and such now works.
I reset value for audio to 93.Keep it between 90-95 and with Nougat atom dolby mod.The phone is screaming!!!

My s7 is so smooth its hard to believe its rooted with eng.bootloader.It feels like stock with no lag or stuttering and or freezing.I let my 7 and 8 year old play with phone for testing and loving it!
Governor set to ondemand
Swapper 3.91 gb +50% swapper
Set on performance or extream performance mod
Not sure why people are having problems with S Health. I haven't factory wiped my phone so basically Nougat was an over the air update. I did reinstall stock a few times because of wifi calling issues but I've gotten those worked out.
S Health works fine for me To all of you that can't get S Health work did you disable Knox by chance?
I'm an idiot and messed up the build.prop and forgot to back it up can somebody help me with the stock one thanks

I tried installing the VoLTE fix (imsservice.apk), but I still have the hurricane icon and now my Bluetooth is broken. Does anybody have their unbroken folder of stuff they can share?

So I already have a OnePlus 5 that I ordered on launch day. Despite all of the bugs being reported, it's still a massive improvement over my Nexus 6P; basic tasks like navigating don't cause it to overheat, this Snapdragon 835 is light-years ahead of the laggy 810 CPU, the phone doesn't suddenly cut off when the battery reaches 30%, and it's FAST! It's not quite perfect, though:
1. Slight jelly effect when scrolling.
2. Slow WiFi, but I fixed this by forcing 5GHz and disabling 'Smart WiFi Switcher'.
3. Google Play Music doesn't allow me to seek to a different position with streaming music/podcasts (I can seek fine through downloaded music). No other music apps exhibit this problem, yet it only happens on OnePlus phones (the 3T had the same issue) so I'm not sure if the blame should be placed on Google or OnePlus. I subscribe to Google Play Music and listen to podcasts very often, so this is a huge inconvenience.
I've been mulling over the idea of ordering another OP5 and paying with PayPal to ensure that I wouldn't have any problems returning it if it turns out to be worse than the one I currently own. I've only had this one for 4 days, so if I order soon then I should have enough time to test both of them and decide which one I want to keep. Going through all of this would be a slight inconvenience, but I think it would be worth it to get my hands on one of these elusive jelly-free OP5s that some people claim to possess. I'm sure the other two issues can be fixed with software updates/ROMs.
Thanks
Ok l will go to another thread then?
how many jelly threads do we need?

I don't have the Jelly issue on my phone at all. Neither do i have the slow wifi issue. I don't use google play music and have it disabled so i can't test that feature. Here is a quick video of it on my phone (I used AZ Screen Recorder).

I've seen reviews of people such as SuperSaf (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDnW2biR9eQ) making videos of the phone's speed test against the iPhone 7 recorded with an external camera and i don't see that issue on his phone either. I think it's only affected on a few phones since my friends don't have this issue on their phones. If you have it, then you can return your phone to get a replacement.

From what I've read, screen recorders can't capture it. I can definitely see it in the video review that you linked to though.

No issues with music.

If is present, i dont see with. In mine 1+3 and 1+5...
it's not noticeable when scrolling fast, because everything blurs anyway.
I don't think most people will notice it at all, it's only evident when scrolling at a specific speed, and made more obvious if you are holding on a specific spot and moving up and down.
Confirm my Oneplus 5 does have the Aka Jelly effect.
I tried seeing it every which way i could think of..
Finally after putting Oneplus 2 side by side exact same apps as my Oneplus 5
scroll up and down with both phones exactly the same time and you will see the icons on the oneplus 2 stay Square where as the oneplus 5 elongate up with the scrolling or you can call it stretching.
This reminds me of Ubuntu Compwiz wobble effect.
