Stock Recovery - Indian Version(DWG version)

Hi All,
Here I'm sharing Stock Indian Recovery of Desire 816.
I had problems in updating OTA with @kinghunki 's stock recovery. After flashing this, I got succeded.
So I thought it'll be useful for some who are having problems with OTA.

Place the .img in folder containing adb.
Boot to fastboot mode,
Type in command prompt with adb :
Fastboot flash recovery recovery_India_Stock.img
done.
if any error shown, do it again.

There is an app called Flashify if you have rooted your phone. It is only one touch process with the app.

I don't know bro... Ask anyone who has 816g.. He/she might could help you.
And another thing is I'm not using 816 any more....

2 seconds to flash & no need to relock after that.

when i boot into recovery it is showing red warning sign

I don't know that change CID needs s-off
but my phone was s-off & unlocked and i changed my CID
if you want command codes say me to tell you

Oh no , i tried too many times to update my phone to lollipop and no result
The 1 thing that maybe be reason is s-off.
It was a mistake to bought this phone , i must bought a Z Ultra sony.
Bigger screen , powerful S800 SOC , higher resolution , slim , very better development support in XDA & many other reasons.

Relock bootloader doesn't work ?
I love the One Plus X I think it will be my next phone

The red explanation mark shows when you enter into stock recovery or in between green progress bar ?

No result with unlocked / relocked bootloader , rooted / unrooted / change cid / supecid.
No one work for me.

You need to have the right build.prop to receive the OTA.
CID, OS build and build.prop all of them need to be matched for installation.

No Root Access
when i installed india RUU the phone show me 70mb update and after download finished it verify the downloaded zip and show me the system variant error that said me phone is customized ( trying with : Relocked , with Root AND without , Stock Recovery )
I changed it to : 0PFJIMG_A51_DTUL_K44_DESIRE_SENSE60_HTCCN_CHS_1.10.1400.1_Radio_01.01.010_U1030412_08.01.40922_3_release_393696_signed_2_4
and it doesn't show me any update available when i try check software update.
plz help me

If you are able to get super-cid, then you should be able to flash any firmware.zip from lollipop ota and then restore lollipop backup with twrp. Did you try this way?
But you must find FW for your model, mistake or experiment may result in malfunction or brick.

I get super CID and no result when i try to download 70mb pre lollipop update.
It's download complete but shows a variant error that means my phone customized. but i have relocked / no root / and have super CID .

For India OTA to install, you need -
MID = 0PFJ10000
CID = HTC__038
and untouched system files.

Htc desire 816 a5_dwg(indian version) marshmallow rom

Can some give me twrp backup for stock marshmallow rom for HTC DESIRE 816 A5_DWG(Indian Version)..

hi guys i have got the update for android 6.0 but i was on root before and had twrp installed and i dont know how i got the update for upgrading, but i tried installing but failed so i flash so many recovery, etc dont know i m noob in this then my phone got bricked then i downloaded the stock rom for my phone then it started then i upgraded to 6.0 but now when phone starts i see htc logo which we see while booting at myt homescreen and it dosent go i tried to go to recovery but it dosent go to recovery it just shows the mobile photo and some kinda red symbol pls help me

yes pratik and yeah the HTC logo it got removed i just reset to factory reset but i dont have recovery

The problem may be due to the fact that you have installed the ota without locking up your bootloader it happens if u want to upgrade what HTC releases officially u have to lock bootloader and then proceed as giiven.... But now I will suggest u to download the twrp recovery and recover it , until there will have been a stable mm ROM flash able zip available rooted for a5_dwg

i dont think you have to relock your bootloader...bcoz i didnt and it worked for me perfectly

hi every body
my lenovo tab stuck in fastboot mode that just shows me boot manager, device manager and boot maintenance manager. it happened when i tryed to downgrade it from android 5 to android 4 with phone flash tool. wifi connection problem caused unsuccessfull downgrading. so what can i do now? how can i fix it?

Did you flash the bios for KitKat before you flashed the KitKat ROM?
If you were on lollipop you need to get the bios from the other thread and follow the instructions posted by @corasman

If you are sure you are on a lollipop BIOS download and use these....phone flash tool and the lollipop ROM.

This worked for me as well. After the flash there were about 4 OTA updates to install. I had to set the region before they would install (mine did an update rebooted after I set the region) :
3. Go to the lenovo contacts manager. Create a dummy contact if the list is empty.
4. Go to Search / Find Contacts and enter ####6020#. It will ask you to select country code (first two latin letters, ignore Chinese).

Hi all,
Managed to port TWRP to the HTC desire 626 (the d626q variant) and thought I would share it with you all. Not sure if this works on other variants. Flash using SP FlashTool.

HELP I installed your twrp and booted the phone into the recovery with it and now it isnt turning on just a charge symbol and then nothing happens. Tried pressing all buttons and nothing has happened.

Are u sure ur using HTC d626q ( MT6752 ) variant ?
if u try this on snapdragon variant it wont work and Provide some info about how u flashed it :good:

It's giving "this build is for development purpose only..." And stuck on the same.

AFAIK this should work. However, use at your own risk.
Flash it using spflash tool.

It works on HTC DESIRE 626 Dual SIM (d626q) with MT 6752. If don't have SPFlash tools but the phone is ROOTED YOU can install this recovery using an app called Flashify. I have done this and works fine.
Now, waiting for custom Roms for this device

I have d626h pvg100 mtk6753, bootloader unlocked, want to flash a custom recovery.
I want to root my device, but it is not possible on android 5.1, so i want to root it via recovery. d626q recovery does not work with my device
