The problem started yesterday, out frm nowhere. Till now, I still can't connect to the internet via 3G. Every time i tried to set up a data connection, this message appears "The answering modem has disconnected. To check your connection setting, tap Settings". I have no problem using WIFI or Active-sync. I had noticed that the usual 3G icon on top of the taskbar had become blurry.
Is it possible that my internal modem is no working. Please help..Thanks
(Using 1.66 ROM )
Same probem with me. Probably my SIM card have internet ban, because it is my biz SIM card. Tried with other SIM card and internet worked fine.
This means you have the blurry 3G icon earlier as well ? Tried other sim card and its still the same.
What is your provider? I had similar problem with my o2 here in Ireland. How I solved it: Just changed the APN to open.internet in network settings. It worked for me. Just search for recent change in the website of your providers. Good luck!
i installed Wanamlite v.1.5 to my i9505 and now i have problems with the network and mobile data.
i didnt have an apn list (there is an apn list i flashed that came with the ROM but i think it did nothing or i did it wrong maybe?) i put the apn settings myself, they work fine for a little while, i can get 4g and connect and everything, but after a while it just stops, it cant even connect. also i tried removing the sim card and even without the sim card the phone shows me there is a network connection! i have 4 bars out of 6, which i think is pretty wierd.
how can i fix this ??
Hi guys ,i hope u can help me with this..
recently i just got the grand 2 like 2 months ago...when i tried to activate mobile data (of sim1) i had a problem ,it's not working,
I tried to trouble shoot the problem by changed apn's and stuff like that with the cust service,,nothing,
however, when i remove the 2nd sim the data of the sim1 ( which i want to activate) starts working ,I always make sure that sim1 os on wcdma and sim 2 mode is on gsm...i had sim 2 as clipped micro sim, however went to store and got a brand new micro sim to see if the clipped one was the problem ,nothing changed ,also swapped their position and placed sim1 in place of sim 2 and voice versa ,nothing happened same problem ,,,I also sometimes get a message saying:
the mobile network will be unavailable until you restart with a valid sim card inserted ,,and only the restart button available and u can't override it by pressing home key or anything so restarting in this case would be mandatory ,,that's why i chaned the 2nd sim card but nothing happened.
now i still can't get mobile data on my neww phone from sim1 and it's driving me crazy ,i think it's a software issue but am not sure cuz when i go to sim card manager and change the data service network to sim2 then put it back on sim1 ,some times the H+ appears and it works ,but not always and not for a long time,,,,,so the problem is between mobile data and dual sim functionality ,do u have this as a common issue ???,,please help
again ts steps i made:
1-re positioned sims in place of each other.
2-changed sim2 into an original micro sim instead of the clipped one i used to have.
3-i reset phone to factory defaults but same problem appeared

I think it is a hardware issue. take it to the service center and insist on getting the issue sorted out as they will try to fob you off with some excuse or other.
all the best

Hi.
I was searching for a solution for exactly the same problem.
I have the same phone as you and I get this to work if I select the option to allow Roaming, even though I fix the network operator to my provider's network. Strange but it should work.
Leifur.
m too facing the same prob in my grand prime 4g... i bought dis sum 10-15 days ago... plz help me to solve dis... othrwise i hv to use it as a single sim... any suggstion...plz help
Sent from my SM-G531F using XDA Free mobile app
Here is the best solution: I faced the same problem and fixed it doing the following...
First restart your phone, when you do that you will see the sim configuration settings screen appears at the boot time and allows you to choose which sim card to use for the Data Service Network... it has three options
1. Sim1
2. Sim2
3. Data service is Off
the third option is active and set by default which is why my cellphone was not working internet and i changed it to Sim1, and it worked perfectly so you have to try it again and again by changing the sim card in their slot... hope that helps!

I am facing a weird issue in my nokia 6.1 plus that i am not able to use internet on my airtel sim in this phone either in sim 1 slot or 2 . All other sims work fine in both slots.. Also my Airtel sim is working perfectly in other phones. And then I checked it is the issue with every Airtel sim in my nokia 6.1 plus. Did factory reset , apn settings , every possible thing but in vain. Nothing works. pathetic service from Nokia service centre. They know nothing about it. Very disappointed.
Guys,
I need help with my network reception issue in OnePlus 6T.
To brief you about its history,
I believe this started from OS Update 9.0.17 where below change-log was introduced,
Re-activated the calling function after the network has been reset.
At present my device is with 10.3.0 OS which is Android 10 based.
In issue description,
1. In some cases I receive network but it will not at all working (like in-out call & SMS). For inbound calls, my device shows out of coverage and for outbound calls it just keep on trying connecting and then get disconnected.
2. In some cases I will not receive network reception itself.
3. Issue reported with BSNL Network only. I tried with 3 different BSNL SIM and issue remain same for all.
4. No other network is affected (irrespective of 2G/3G). I tested with Airtel & Vodafone, where its working with 2G & 3G both.
Troubleshooting steps,
1. Tried flashing device completely (From OS & Recovery Both) - No Solution
2. Tried downgrading OS to 9.0.4 - No Solution
3. Tried selecting 2G network manually - It throws error as selected network is not available.
4. Tried changing Network Reception Scope to GSM/WCDMA only for BSNL Network slot (SIM2) - No Solution
5. Tried using BSNL only in SIM1 slot (keeping SIM2 empty) - No Solution
6. These same SIM Cards (JIO & BSNL) are working fine presently in my another OnePlus 5 device.
7. Tried disabling DSDS (Dual SIM Dual Standby) from *#*#4636#*#* but its not getting deactivated & remained active always.
I verified with Network Cell Info Tool where this BSNL network is showing greyed out (I dont know what does that mean) but I believe its representing internal root cause of this issue.
In app, neighboring cell is also losing connectivity randomly and not steady for BSNL network only.
It seems I've hit the same issue with my OnePlus 6 since the last couple of days. Happened after I did a 'reset network settings'. No solution yet. I have changed to a new BSNL 4G SIM and had factory reset of the phone.
Now the phone is with the service centre.
How did you resolve this issue?
