After the latest marshmallow upgrade the battery drains fast but also charges quicker. I recall in my previous android models that sometimes after an upgrade (esp a major one) the battery statistics needed to be reset as the previous data did not apply well to the new update. To me this behavior reminds me of that past experience and while I found a reset battery stats in other mobile recovery modes, the OP2 does not have that option in recovery.
How can I reset the battery data for the new update?
Thanks all!

I m on 100% stock lolipop. I installed it clean and with faastboot.
The system is every time awake and removed user drain more battery than SOT.
Any suggestion?
So you played with guest user and had battery drain, so you removed the guest user without fixing or finding the cause of the drain? Try wiping cache, if that fails I hate to say it but you are probably better off to wipe (do a factory reset).
hmm, I don't know if it's related, but i also removed the lollipop Guest user after just having clicked on it once. This was on my 2012 Nexus 7 though, but ever since it's been extreeemely sluggish, way more that any lollipop review on it has found (like 30 sec to fire up an app). I'm thinking of doing a reset on it to see if that helps, because it's mostly useless now.
Hi guys...m using the Note 4 Model SM-910F....recently I flashed the lollipop firmware using Odin that has been released in Germany....after that m facing some issues...like My Screen is most of the time awake though it is turned off and there ls no data connection...also my WiFi is sometimes on though I use Mobile Data...also from battery stats I can see that Android OS, Cell Standby and Android System is eating out huge chunk of the battery which was not the case on Kitkat...I did a factory reset after flashing the lollipop rom...I also did a factory reset yesterday...but I think due to these my battery life has substantially decreased...can u guys help me out with this????
terrible battery life after minor update on 8/21/2015
first of all my phone is completly stock not rooted everything was fine after the lollie pop update great battery life everything was running smooth no issues now after this minor update on friday my phones battery life is terrible i cant even get a day out of it i have no clue what the update was for am i going to have to wipe my phone out and start from scratch ? anyone else have this issue with the latest update?
Same. Battery seems to drop almost 30% right off the get go. 4 hours max life as opposed to before, almost 18 hours with constant use. I charged 100%, removed the battery, discharged the phone, and did a hard reset with no luck.
You must Factory Reset in stock recovery (power off, hold volume up and HOME key and power on) and delete cache also.
Hi,
My Samsung Galaxy S8+ used to hit 5 hours of screen on time minimum. But lately it has been tanking at about 1 percent every 3 minutes or so. When checking battery stats, it says that it is a high android system battery usage. When checking apps for potential battery drain, Bixby Global Actions and Bixby Services was 84 percent of the Android System battery drain. Please assist? Has this happened to anyone else? Should I factory reset?
Same thing happened to me right after the Oreo update. Last night I disabled all Bixby related apps, will see how it affects battery life until tonight. will update.

Perfect. Thank you so much. Look forward to your update. I did perform a factory reset so will also update after a few days of use
Any update on this? I was getting terrible battery life on my S9 due to high Android System drain. I did a factory reset and everything was great until I set up Bixby. Then Android System started killing battery life. I disabled everything related to Bixby but it still continued. Just did another factory reset and all is good again, but I'm scared to accidentally hit that button.
Hi,
Unfortunately still no news. I've tried clearing my cache multiple times. But still cannot find the culprit. I have managed to make my standby battery drain decent by updating to the latest March security update. But there is still a high Android system battery drain when using the phone. About 1% battery every 3 minutes.
I'm in the same boat. I did some research and found users complaining about bixby global action and bixby service draining thier batter after the oero update. I looked at my own results and found them draining 178% each! I just disabled the both of them but I'm still losing 1% about every 4 or 5 minutes. Going recharge my phone and see what results I get.
Got sick of this oreo update, the battery isnt as good as nougat even with crd7 and also if you set display on wqhd and u use app pair , after that when u hit the multitaskig button there is an animation stuter, i cannot cope with this.
And I had problems with batery but now it is better.
Clean cashe in recovery menu
Set Wi Fi to energy saving
Disable Google services in backround
With this now my batery is 15 - 20% better.
With or without Bixby - same.
My soft is CRD7
I've got an old Moto G5+ from my brother, and instead of deleting all his apps and data, I decided to perform a hard reset. That was my biggest mistake. After a hard reset, battery life dropped significantly. The phone tends to lose a lot of charge in standby mode. With 30% left before I go to sleep, the G5+ will be dead in the morning.
I couldn't find out why (no battery-hungry apps in the stats, the issue persists even without user-installed apps) until I've read a post about Wi-Fi affecting battery life from the Moto G5 owner. When Wi-Fi is off, It works fine with no extensive battery drain (I use a 3G/LTE connection instead to surf the web).
I've already tried to:
Calibrate the battery.
Perform another hard reset.
Flash stock firmware. It didn't end well, and I had to use Motorola's Rescue and Smart Assistant, which worked.
Clear cache in recovery mode.
Do one more hard reset in recovery mode.
Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scanning options in location settings. Too late, I know. But no luck.
I have tried to switch to the Safe mode. That helped to stop the battery drain. But what I need to do next? It doesn't look like a third-party app issue. Maybe I should try to install an older version of the official firmware? I don't want to experiment with custom ROMs (if only an almost 100% stable, but which one to choose?).
