Which version were you running before ? Stable B316 or a developer release ?
edit: you just replied that you were on 5.8.5, so I suspect you're not running official Stable Lollipop release now
H60-L12, B316

I don't know
Each time I have notification about update I do this
operation current?
Whoever updated to 5.1, can U please look at the operation current? 'cous I do not like battery drain of the 3.0. But android 5.1 supposed to be battery saving. So that it would be interesting to see the battery usage.
Please share OTA package in some way.
edit: I can understand it is not official release identified by Bxxx number.
android 5.1.1 for honor 6 H60-L12
I downloaded the 1st file(the 1st one that reads android 5.1_5.9.1.zip) on the following MEGA site: mega:///#F!itZwQZRS!foxJdEteQMn0fdXQWeag3g and unrar and place the folder "dload" to the root directory of sd card, go the settings, update, and choose local update, and that's it.
Funny thing to note, the update is quite lengthy and by the time the update process done, the honor 6 gets quite warm! However, after I restart, its very cool now, the update was done yesterday. Now I am on this Build No. EMUI3.1_H60-L12_5.9.1 and Android version is 5.1.1.
So far so good. Now looking for root.
yes battery life is also very good and butter smooth performance, wow.. i am at 5.9.1 developer edition.
Guys can u tell me tht, are the lock screen notification available in emui 3.1 as it was in stock Android 5.0 ?
I loved the stock Android 5.0 experience
But still not sure the emui 3.1 will deliver the same experience?

Hello!
Can you tell me if it is possible install this version on the H60-L02 ? or is only for H60-12?
Many thanks,
Milastrix
Guys, these are not even real links (Mega) and no screens of phone info. I suspect scams... Be serious please
Where to find the right zip?
I received the update notification - I'm on EMUI 3.0 and custom recovery - but obviously it won't install because of my recovery, so I'm loking for the right zip to download.
My actual version: H60-L12V100R001CHNC00B313
Version to be installed: H60-L12 B313-B316, as it read on Update section of Phone information
Is it because I have a Chinese Honor 6?
I think I need a H60-L12V**************B316 version instead, don't you?

I had the same situation as you, and i did the direct update to the B532 version.
Please keep in mind that the phone has to be unrooted and has to have the stock recovery.
Extract this zip (https://mega.nz/#!XxYy3bjT!O2oYeVvrsi5SGPWevWi24xzS4zt_PiRjZyC-e6-W4A0) to the sdcard1 of your phone, and then use the manual update on your phone.

I got to B316 and finally to B532 with stock recovery, obviously. Your link is the right one.
Than I installed a custom recovery in order to get the root again.
Thank you

Anyway, we all are interested in mm from asus to polish CM builds with proper cam support, fm-radio, signal lost issues, sim2 bugs, not working games etc or maybe even some kernel triggers for better battery life...
Nice, is it x64 ?
Digital radio , tunein app ...no interference
Why does this guy have it?
Any solution we can flash nougat?
That guy doesn't have Android Nougat, it is fake. If you look at his firmware version it says that MM is installed. The modifications are done with xposed or other stuff. The android version written in "About Phone" can be changed anytime to anything manually, it's just matter of editing a text file in build.prop. The notification panel and the quick toggles are the same as those obtained using a particular xposed module which "N-tifies" those settings.
Regarding the fact if we will ever have it, who knows. At the moment Qualcomm hasn't released drivers for Snapdragon 801 to work with Nougat. So only back-porting might be possible. When YotaPhone 3 will be released (with Android N, 99% sure), maybe someone will manage to port its ROM to YotaPhone 2.
guys, I know that soon it will be possible to auto-update by WiFi to Android 6 - may be in a month...
fake

but it turned out to be even worse haha
I was just wondering if this Android operating system self updates the way let's say Google apps update when there is a revision or do you have to update it manually and install a new version Everytime there is an update?? Sorry if this is a dumb question but in new to this scene
If this was just a regular phone with lineage os, you could update it to a new version by flashing it through TWRP. But since this is a Nintendo Switch we are talking about, hard to say since you need to download a whole image of android for the switch. Plus the size of the image varies a lot from 16 GB to 128 GB. I would join switchroot discord and ask them if they could implement it.

They said updates would be released as flashable zips. That's how custom roms usually do it. But no reason we can't have an OTA updater app that downloads the zip and reboots into recovery to do the flash like many custom roms have.
