[share] "remove gapps completely" - Lenovo A7000 Guides, News, & Discussion

[FLASHABLE ZIP]
The zip provided below can be used to remove whole gapps package that is included in some custom Roms ,so that u can flash u r own desired gapps again [switch gapps] or if u want to use custom Roms without gapps.
Remove GApps in ROM: now support Marshmallow
Script in first post very discounted and therefore deleting not all files.
Here's updated version. Script automatically mounts /system, you don't need do it by yourself.
Script compatible with Android 2.3...6.0
Guaranteed delete will be only on CyanogenMod rom's and Nexus firmware due of possible other file naming in manufacturer stock firmware.
Probably some small bits of files can left on device (like WebView), but almost all other will be removed.
Note: script removes apps from /system partition.
Probably some of them was updated and additionally stored in internal memory.
So you need manually delete a bit of remainders by usual way.
IMPORTANT!
– Maybe some stuff or whole ROM will broken after applying this ZIP
– Script removes stock Google / CM keyboard, install 3rd party before applying!
– Script removes Google Experience Launcher, so make sure you use 3rd-party app or device will not boot!
– Script removes Hangouts, so make sure you use 3rd-party SMS app or you may unable use SMS!
– ..and may other
– Apps with embedded Google Maps such as Foursquare, Instagram and many other can't be launched / installed by any way because of lack of framework for it
– A lot of apps requests installed Google Play Store and Google Play Services which will be removed
– Network location can be disabled because it's part of gapps
– Recommended to wipe dalvik/ART-cache to rid out of unused cache files
>>> Use it at your own risk and make full backup via recovery before flashing! <<<

I am not sure what he is trying to convey here with this kind of english, but Titanium backup works fine for everybody and this kind of crap is not required for nobody.

[LP][5.X][XPERIA] Debloating script for xperia phones running LP

***LOOKING FOR A ALL-IN-ONE SOLUTION? THAT'S AVAILABLE FOR Z3C USERS ONLY, IF INTERESTED GO HERE***
I guys, I share with you my debloating script for those interested in a higly DEBLOATED LP installation, very slimmed down, battery friendly, faster, with less RAM comsuption etc
Heavily debloated actually means almost 1 gb of system stuff moved to a backup folder (that you can even delete or move to sdcards to get 1gb extra free space in /system) so applying my script you agree to debloat A LOT as I did but take care that you will have a much lighter system and still you will be able to restore very easily anything you want anytime moving stuff back from the backup folder to /system (detailed instructions for that below in this thread).
NOTES
1. as all the stuff object of my debloating script is going to be placed in /system when flashing the pre-rooted FW, it is strongly suggested to apply my script immediately after flashing the pre-rooted LP FW and before rebooting, this way all that stuff will be moved away, and it is like it was never installed (at first boot no optimizations for those apps, means faster first boot etc)
2. as said above, all the bloat is not really deleted but moved to a Backup folder in system (/system/__Backup) so you can restore anything you want very easily. that's the reason you can see /system partition still almost full in spite of my high debloat, but stuff moved to the backup folder is "silent", so for sure it is not affecting the system at all and it is like it is not installed: I use this approach for people who needs to restore something, this way restoring is very very easy and fast. By the way, deleting the whole Backup folder (or moving it to your sdcard) you will then see something like 1.1 gb extra free space in /system!!
3. using different FW as base you may have some more bloat/apks, not present in my FW, that will remain installed. In this case, if you think there is some bloat left that could be removed, please send me a list of all your system apps remained after debloating, so i can check them (you can easily do that via terminal with 'ls /system/app > /sdcard/sysapps.txt' and 'ls /system/priv-app > /sdcard/privapps.txt' and send me the resultant text files)

Procedure for all xperia phones running LP: (like all Z series)
Requirements:
- working recovery
- be on LP already, 5.0.2 or 5.1.1, doesn't matter
Installation:
1. full nandroid backup to eventually go back to previous any time
2. wipe data, cache and dalvik ***
3. flash my debloating script
4. that's all! reboot/enjoy
*** NOTES
You can skip wiping data, so you'll keep all your personal data! But please mind that not wiping data during the installation procedure the debloat will not be 100% effective: in fact, if you don't wipe data, all the sony apps installed in /data/app won't be removed by the script! (to remove them, you'll have to uninstall them manually from settings > apps > downloaded)
Click to collapse
RESULT
As said at the top, you'll get a very slimmed down LP FW, battery friendly, very fast, with less RAM comsuption etc
Of course, everything is working great here, I mean all the features I need/use!
In particular, with latest version of my script you are going to delete more than 160 packages in total with all relevant libs/stuff plus all applications automatically installed by Sony :good:
DISCLAIMER
If you apply my script again please take care I did a pretty massive debloat as I don't use a lot of stuff (social apps, small apps, many of the sony "addons"/special settings etc!!) and this is a working config for me, but for others some functionalities will be probably missing, so mind what you do before apply them! (but again you can restore anything anytime, if interested just continue the reading)

REMOVED STUFF
As said at the beginning, with my script, stuff is not going to be deleted anymore, but moved in /system/__Backup folder. This way you can restore things without the need to download them from my GDrive.
HOW TO RESTORE SOMETHING
PS. of course I also removed from my FW all the stuff that can be easily downloaded from the Play Store (Gmail, etc)
In the hidden field below you will find the restoring instructions you need to follow to restore any package you may want back:
According to what you want to restore, you have to follow two different procedures:
- all the APKs that are inside /system/__Backup/various/etc_custom_apps and /system/__Backup/various/etc_prod_apps are regular APKs that are going to be installed in /data, so you can just run them and then select "install" like a normal APK, easy. You will then see them in Settings > applications > downloaded
- instead, all the things in /system/__Backup/system_app and /system/__Backup/system_priv-app folders can't be normally installed, but must be restored in the correct /system folders with correct permissions. To do this, see the step-by-step instructions below (in the following example, I am going to restore Chrome app in /system/app and Velvet (Google Search) in /system/priv-app, but of course you can restore how many things as you want at the same time)
Code:
- with a root file manager like ES, go to /system/__Backup/system_app and MOVE the whole "Chrome" folder to /system/app
- with a root file manager like ES, go to /system/__Backup/system_priv-app and MOVE the whole "Velvet" folder to /system/priv-app
- reboot
- done
PS. don't copy but MOVE things back, or permissions will get messed up and you are likely to end up in a bootloop!
Many THANKS @ondrejvaroscak and @Puffin617 for some very good advices, @mj084 for some packages descriptions :good:
Would one arrive at the same stable setup as you if the debloating-part in your guide was omitted?

don't think so. in fact, several people who flashed and installed xposed directly on stock FW, had bootloops. others have problems with play store in deodexed, so I think, at least here and IMHO, best combo is odexed but debloated.
of course you can remove less stuff, that will be also much safer. if and when I post a text list of what I removed, I can maybe highlight dangerous apps that people should be careful with, or add notes for some apps that maybe is not so easy to understand what they are for
EDIT: I always prefer manual things, so I always manually move apps to a temporary location and then delete them
oh man, thanks for this, but i have a lot of problems to visualize what have you did. dropbox isn't working for me on my work's network. Can you make a list of apps? pastebin, tinypaste, hastebin, chop... there are options!

Perfect Bro @moly82 will work on it to launch a FW Debloated stable.
So do we know which app it is that you removed that fixed the xposed issue? I don't buy the "just delete a bunch of stuff and xposed will work", there must be one or a combination of apps that are causing the bootloops.

well, you are free to investigate [emoji14]
always when i flash a stock fw i immediately remove a lot of useless (for me) stuff.. this time I had already deleted something like 120 useless apps before flashing xposed and seeing it was working fine.. so that's not so easy for me at this time to understand exactly what is causing bootloops for some people and actually, even if it wouldn't be impossible to find that out, that's not interesting for me so don't see a point in losing extra time in that research sorry (I'm already wasting too much time in debloat operations [emoji14] )

@moly82: you are the greatest ... finally I got xposed framework without bootloop!! Thank you so much!!
no problem mate glad it was helpful for someone else!
yesterday I added a few more xposed modules, and still no bootloops at all (right now I'm using GB, apm+, youtube adway, youtube background playback, xperia/AOSP NavBar Buttons :good: )
btw did you delete all (or most of the) the apps in my list? and before debloating you had bootloops?
because I immediately debloated and only then I installed xposed, so was wondering if maybe also installing xposed without debloating could be working actually as never tried here this way
in any case, just testing right now some more debloat... would like to increase the debloat list... will update OP if I find it safe and will have no problems after new deletions
gallery app is not working! i tried restoring all the Photo* app ,but still not working
Try to clear Cache and Data from Album App, helped me last time it wont work
you mean sony album? works perfectly here
removed updates and now is working fine

The proper way of linking android apps to sdcard

THE PROPER WAY OF LINKING ANDROID APPS TO SDCARD
A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE WITH TIPS
This guide is based on my experience, after trying different tutorial from Google I also experience different kinds of bugs, though all tutorial are good ( I really appreciate their efforts and knowledge ) but there is something lacking, may be adding tips and tricks, and understanding the reader’s ability.
REQUIREMENTS
Before proceeding be sure to have the following
• PC
• MiniTool Partition ( PC App)
• SD Card ( Class 10 )
• SD Card Reader
• Android Phone ( Honor 4C )
• App2sd: All in One
STEP 1: WORKING ON PC
I ASSUMED THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE DOWNLOADED MINITOOL PARTITION. BE SURE ALSO TO BACKUP YOUR IMPORTANT FILES, BECAUSE THIS PROCESS WILL FORMAT YOUR SD CARD
Step 1.1. Install MiniTool Partition on your PC
Step 1.2. Insert your SD Card to your Card Reader
Step 1.3. Open MiniTool Partition and locate your SD Card
Step 1.4. Right Click on your SD Card and select “Delete”
Step 1.5. Right Click again on your SD Card and select “Create New” and a dialog will
appear and put the following
Partition Label: “Put any name”
Create As: “Primary”
Drive Letter: “Never Touch”
File System: “FAT32”
Cluster size: “Default”
Size and Allocation: “Depends on you.”
Step 1.6. Right Click on Unallocated Partition and select “Create New” and a dialog will
appear and put the following
Partition Label: “Put any name”
Create As: “Primary”
Drive Letter: “Never Touch”
File System: “Ext4”
Cluster size: “Default”
Size and Allocation: “Depends on you. I suggest make it 8 – 12 GB, because
We will link your apps here to save more memory”
Step 1.7. Click on “Apply”
WE ARE DONE WORKING ON PC, BUT DON’T INSERT IT YET TO YOUR PHONE
STEP 2: WORKING ON YOUR PHONE
SAD TO SAY, BUT YOU HAVE TO RE-FLASH THE ROM AND ROOT IT AGAIN. FOR THE TUTORIAL I RECOMMEND INSHAALMIRZA TUTORIALS, YOU CAN FIND IT ON GOOGLE.
Step 2.1 Re-Flash Your Phone, whatever your desired Android Version
IMPORTANT NOTE:
After Flashing your ROM, Don’t Login to your Google Account, to avoid updates from google because we need a clean ROM. (Be sure you do Factory reset after flashing)
Step 2.2 Root Your Phone ( Follow Inshaalmirza tutorial )
Step 2.3 Download Link2SD and App2SD and install it, but Don’t open it yet
Step 2.4 Open App2SD and select “Link Apps to SD Card” and there will be a Pop up
asking you for partition style. Select ext4 and don’t tick init.d support.
Step 2.5 Open Link2sd (Just Open It )
Step 2.6 Restart your Phone. Don’t login to Google after restart
STEP 3: WORKING ON APP2SD: ALL IN ONE TOOL
Step 3.1. Open App2SD and select “Link Apps to SD Card”
Step 3.2. Link The Following Pre-installed Apps (Or remove some): (Link App File, Link
Odex, Link Library, Link Data)
- Android System WebView

- HiCare
- Huawei Contacts
- InMobi
- Maps
- Messaging
- Music
- News & Updates

Step 3.3. Go to setting, and check on “Auto Link apps”
Check only the following: Link APK, Link Odex, Link Dex, Link Lib, Link Data
Step 3.4. Restart your Phone
Step 3.5. Login to Google and update all apps. Take note of all updated apps and do Step
3.2 again on updated apps only.
Step 3.6. Restart and finished
JUST FOLLOW THE STEPS. BUT DON’T BLAME ME

Oh, great.
Thanks for this awesome post. I was really struggling with the internal storage and now I have lots of storage to install as many app as I need.
Do I have to manually link every app which I'll install later on, after following these steps?
It did work great but I have some insues with games like asphalt 8, I link the app to the sdcard download the external data but after that if I restart the game it will ask me to download the external data again
Thanks for the guide
Thanks again

Or atleast with Apps2sd you don't need to get clean rom for it to work.
It would be also good to notify that auto link might not work if Apps2sd isn't system app.
And is there a reason to download both link2sd and apps2sd or was that a typo?
Otherwise nice guide, you've done good job with it.

[GUIDE] Ad removal - Debloat - Block OTA: easy TWRP install scripts

[SIZE=+3]TWRP scripts: Ad removal - Debloat - Block OTA[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+2]Amazon Prime Variant and OEM Variant[/SIZE]
Tested on Prime and OEM variants. Please report back if any issues
[SIZE=+1]This guide only require you to be able to boot TWRP. You can follow this TWRP install guide and perform the installation of these .zip files AFTER step 8) (You must backup your system in case anything goes wrong, you will also need this backup to perform any future OTA, such as the one activating band 12). You can either stop there after installation, or proceed to the following steps if you want to have root access.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+1]All .zip have to be installed using the TWRP "Install" function. You will need to download them on your phone or copy them on a SD card. You do not need to install all these packages at once. These scripts do not install or remove anything on /system, they only rename some files. All scripts can be extracted and opening "update-binary" with your favorite text editor will allow you to see exactly what is done (always a good idea if you are concerned with your device security), and customize it if you wish.
This will only rename the stock apps in your /system. If an update was performed, or if you used the app previously, the app and it's files may still be present on your device /data even after running these scripts but you will be able to uninstall them as any other app. This also means that you can rerun these scripts after a future OTA and they will not erase any app you reinstalled yourself on /data.
A "reset all" script is also provided to restore all apps and unblock OTA.
You can individually restore any app by using a file manager with root access (or TWRP built-in one) and rename any "*.apk_" to "*.apk", app will show up again after the next reboot.
[/SIZE]
[SIZE=+1]Disable ads, block OTA and Amazon PARTIAL debloat "bluR1-AMZ-PARTIALdebloat-blockOTA"[/SIZE]This package will remove all the ads from your Prime phone and block future OTA. You DO NOT need to reset / wipe your phone after installation.
It will also remove all Amazon apps from your system except for the Amazon Underground app store (recommended).
This option allows automatic background updates from the amazon app store and do not need you allow the installation of packages from unknown sources.
[SIZE=+1]Disable ads, block OTA and Amazon FULL debloat "bluR1-AMZ-FULLdebloat-blockOTA"[/SIZE]This package will remove all the ads from your Prime phone and block future OTA. You DO NOT need to reset / wipe your phone after installation.
It will also remove all Amazon apps from your system including the Amazon Underground app store.
[SIZE=+1]Google PARTIAL debloat "bluR1-GOOGLE-debloat"[/SIZE]This package will remove SOME stock Google apps that can be easily downloaded from the google play store and are not required for the system.
This will only remove apps in the /system partition. This means that if you downloaded or reinstalled some of the apps they won't be removed by the script. It also means that if you previously used the phone and some apps were updated they will still be installed in your /data/app, but you will be able to uninstall them manually as any other app.

I do not have access to a stock ROM or nandroid backup to compare everything so I can't be 100% sure but as far as I know pretty much yes.
Scripts worked perfect and didn't delete the Google apps I actually use! Thanks!
Problems after Factory Reset
after factory reset got a Error looping, “Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped.”
Method to bypass problem,
1. Boot into TWRP Recovery
2. Mount System ( Mount → check System )
3. Advanced → File Manager
4. Browse to /system/priv-app/Setup-Wizard
5. Delete it
Also, home button and menu button doesn't work
(had to restore from backup)

So to clarify I can use the script to also disable ota for a prime that's been converted to OEM? excellent
I am a Prime-Member and would like to buy two NEW BLU R1 HD - 16 GB - Black - Prime Exclusive - with Lockscreen Offers & Ads:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01H2E0J5M/ref=twister_B01G7TG6SW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
However, since I am buying these two cellphones for my sons, and I don't want that they have access to my amazon account details...
So, I would like to know if these phones will come fully registered to my Amazon account, or if it is possible to block or unregister these phones to my Account ?
So, my Amazon Orders, List and Shopping Cart, can not be seen or used by my sons ?
At first and if not totally necessary, I not want to root or modify nothing on this Blue phone... I just would like to totally block in some simple way, my Amazon account that I will use to purchase these phones, possibly because both will come already registered to the same account.

They do not come registered to your account at all. Signing into an amazon account is an option during setup, but not required.
Thanks for letting me know that these BLUE phones, not come pre-registered to an amazon account...
That's just what I wanted to know before ordering my two phones.

This is strange. What phone version do you have? (Prime, normal, Prime converted to normal, etc)
Is the Gallery App gone? If yes try to uninstall the file explorer manually like any other app, else try to run the script again to be sure nothing went wrong.

Found the problem. Please redownload the script from the original post, I updated it and it should now remove properly the file manager.
Thank you for your bug report!
Thanks so much for this.
Also wanted to let people know that I removed Google Play Service and Google Play (store) without any issues so far.
I will update this post if I run into any problems.
Thanks again!

No, use of the default gallery app is hardcoded in the camera app.
You can only launch Google Photos using the shortcut displayed after taking a new picture.
If you use an alternative camera app (I use Open Camera https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.sourceforge.opencamera ) these will correctly launch Google Photos or any other default gallery app.
For testing purpose (seems to work ok on my phone) here is an update of the scripts.
These ones will not delete the apps in /system but rename them from *.apk to *.apk_ effectively disabling and hiding them.
Two main advantages:
- Each app can easily be individually disabled/reactivated using TWRP builtin file explorer or any file explorer with root access by renaming them back to *.apk.
- Easily revert to an out of the box state to be able to apply an OTA update by simply using "bluR1-RestoreApps-OTA.zip" script. This will "rebloat" your system. If you installed root etc you still have to take care of this yourself.
If you are giving these scripts a try, please report success / failure so I can eventually update the original post.
Edit 09/10/2016: scripts updated to debloat non-prime phones, restore script released.
Edit 10/01/2016: scripts are now available on OP, beta is over. Thanks to the few testers that reported back!
Oops, wrong thread.

[ROM][6.0.1][2.9 GB FREE][GUIDE] Debloat Script for Stock J2 Prime (SM-G532 F/G/M/MT)

Welcome! This guide is to help you debloat your Samsung Galaxy J2 Prime (G532 M/F/G/MT)!
But, before I begin, I should give a few warnings!
Background:
As us owners of the J2 Prime know, development for a custom ROM (either port or AOSP based) is not going anywhere soon. I think most recognized and experienced devs just see this phone, its specs and think "I'm not buying this thrash phone" lol
Not only are its specs thrash, the chipset has been known to be a pain to port ROMs over (Mediatek)
What's the next big thing? DEBLOATED ROMS!
Unfortunately, I don't have access to the software to create a flashable, fully debloated ROM (I do not have administrator rights, it is not my PC :v)
However, what I CAN create is a flashable zip to remove some annoying apps that you will most likely not need!
So, with that being said, let's get to the obligatory warnings
Warnings!:
* There are two flashable zips I am including. One that will factory reset your phone (100% recommended!) and one that will just eliminate your bloatware (not recommended, because some app information will still be stored in the /data partition)
* PLEASE CHECK THE LIST OF APPS REMOVED DOWN BELOW!!!!!
* I am removing apps that I don't need! Key word being "I". For example, I don't use Samsung's Gallery app because I use Google Photos, I have various devices and I need photos to be synced up between them (UPDATE: Since so many people use Samsung's Gallery, I've updated my scripts to keep Samsung Gallery and delete Google Photos. I'll just download it from Playstore). so by flashing this you are accepting my conditions. In other words, I get to choose what apps are being deleted. If you have a request of an app you don't want removed, you can easily search for the apk file on the internet or on Google Playstore. If you have a request of an app you want removed but is not included in my zip, and enough people request it, I can update my file (or you can update it yourself, if you want) to delete extra apps
* Since there are a lot of apps that I am removing, there's a big possibility that I may break something like a feature YOU may be interested in. Be warned that you may experience sudden FC or a feature you want not to work. Please report if anything that YOU use is not working so I can add it to the not working list. So far, of what I've used I have not encountered any FC or any bugs, but there is always a possibility that it can happen
* I can't stress this out enough, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR DEVICE, YOU ARE FLASHING THIS ON YOUR OWN RISK!

IF I ELIMINATE AN APP YOU USE PERSONALLY, I WILL BE ADDING A ZIP FILE IN POST #2 TO FLASH VIA TWRP. IF YOU HAVE AN APP YOU WANT ME TO ADD THAT YOU PERSONALLY USE, PLEASE COMMENT SO I CAN GIVE YOU THE APP TO DOWNLOAD
I WILL NO LONGER ADD ZIP FILES TO ADD APPS BACK DUE TO NONE OF THEM WORKING ON DIFFERENT FIRMWARES (THEY SEEM TO BE FIRMWARE SPECIFIC). IF YOU WANT TO ADD AN APP I DELETED, PLEASE SEARCH ON GOOGLE HOW TO ADD IT BACK
As the developers here would say it:
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/* *
Your warranty is now void. *
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about flashing this zip file
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. HARD!
* */
With that out of the way, let's finally get started!
What you need:
1. A PC
2. The will to use the SEARCH function or search in Google when you run into a problem that may or may not be listed in this guide
3. Debloat_J2_Prime zip file (link below)
4. TWRP (link below)
5. Ashyx's file to remove decryption (highly recommended, link below)
6. The Super SU zip file (link below)(not necessary, you can also root with Magisk)
7. Your stock ROM already downloaded from Updato or Sammobile (not necessary but just in case anything goes wrong)
Downloads:
1. Samsung USB Drivers
2. Download the latest version of Odin
3. The latest firmware of your phone (Use google to search for it, recommended sites are Updato and Sammobile)
4. Debloated ROM (Script that will factory reset)
5. Debloat script ONLY (not recommended, but can still clear up some space!)
6. Download TWRP from the TWRP thread
7. Download ashy's "no-verity-no-encrypt_ashyx" file from TWRP thread
8. Download the SuperSU "SR5-SuperSU-v2.82-SR5-20171001224502.zip" file from this thread
STEP-BY-STEP:
(Make sure you have OEM Unlocked before trying this procedure out. To do this, you need to activate developer options by tapping on "Build number" 7 times located under Settings>About Device>Software Info. Then, go to Settings>Developer Options and make sure OEM Unlock is enabled)
0. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, read the warnings!
1. First you should flash TWRP. It's as simple as flashing via Odin the file containing TWRP. If you need extra steps and explanations of how to install TWRP, follow this thread: TWRP thread
2. Once you have TWRP installed, boot into recovery
3. If you get a prompt upon starting up TWRP to allow modifications, you should swipe to allow modifications. If you don't get any message, ignore this step
4. Flash the "DEBLOAT_J2_Prime_FactoryReset" file
5. Root via the method you want (flash SuperSU zip) or you can use Magisk
6. Flash the no-verity zip
7. You now have a fully debloated J2 Prime!
Let the phone boot, set it up and you should now be done!
You now have a much lighter J2 Prime with aprox. 2.9 GB of free storage! Even after the apps update!
Special thanks to:
@ashyx for porting TWRP to our crappy device xd
@tx_dbs_tx for compiling this great list , which I based my script on
Screenshots
(Attached)
Eliminated apps
Update:
For now, these do not work. Flashing these apps will cause them to FC. These are firmware specific, so they will most likely not work on other firmwares
I am trying my best to find out a way to have them universal, but for now please google search how to install the app you might want returned that I have removed
This debloat script eliminates a few system apps you might personally use and I don't. I will upload requested apk files in this post. If you have a request, to remove or to add to the debloat script, please let me know
Attached apk (flash via TWRP):
Samsung Gallery
SMusic Picker
SoundAlive_41
Reported problems:
Cannot edit/draw on screenshots
Changelog:
24/01/18: Updated tutorial. I now have 2 scripts. One that will completely factory reset your phone and one that will only eliminate bloatware (no factory reset)
22/01/18: Updated tutorial. It is no longer needed to flash stock via Odin

This script works for any Samsung device in theory, but some of the apps listed here may come in different names on other devices and may not eliminate them from other devices. I recommend a device backup before trying it
i stock at step 12
i cannot find swipe in download mode
and if i try to go in twrp,it already been wipe out

Sure, you don't have to flash SuperSU, you can replace it with Magisk
I am currently working on a flashable debloated stock ROM. Now that you bring up that you personally use Magisk, I will not include SuperSU on the flashable ROM
I don't know when I'll have it ready, I'm still trying to figure out what goes where but right now I have a 60% advance on it

Sorry to disappoint but I don't think I will be able to create a debloated zip ROM.
I thought it would be as easy as making a script unpack everything in /system, but it turns out that you need to give permissions to a lot of folders and apps located in /system.
For beginners like me, it's an absolute pain to give permissions to every single file located in /system.
There are programs to make this easier like ASSAYYED's kitchen
But my PC detects it as malware and I can't deactivate this PC's anti-virus because it is not mine
Sorry, all I can do is modify this script I guess, it's my best attempt to debloat our device

Don't worry bro, with your scrip it's already done the job that we all need.
thanks for your hard work and keep this device alive!.
BTW, i mess with the system with (titanium backup) and now i can't activate the "max" option of battery saver in device maintenance. do you have the apk so i can reinstall it?
because in internet it's only avaible for nougat or higher (sammobile or apkmirror).

[ROM][N][7.0][STOCK][G920W8][zerofltebmc/zerofltecan]SamStock November Patch (Lightly Debloated)[RE-PACK]

Original ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...loat-7-0-920-5-w8-f-i-november-patch.3649798/
I removed several apps in the ROM including a very annoying DiagMonAgent app that caused it to continuously show popup notifications.
Here is a complete list of apps I removed from this ROM: http://dr.mywebcommunity.org/g920w8/debloat/20210831-samstock-debloat-results.html
My phone works super well with this setup.
Download information:
Location: androidfilehost.com
File name: 20210831-1914-sst05-safe.zip
File size: 1.4 Gb
Information
I did not include the AROMA options for different phone vendors so if you really need those files, please use original rom. I uploaded this rom for my peronal use and because I am trying to make a debloated rom and bring the size of the zip file back down to under 1 Gb but I have several issues with required apks causing bootloops. So for now, this is a fully functional re-packed rom. I do plan to re-pack the phone vendors in a futur aroma setup but for now, I am still struggling to debloat this rom entirely. I just needed a base stock rom with as little modification as possible and this is the only ROM I found to fit this category. I am fully opened to receive any kind of help or assistance. The goal is to change the ZIP file only through my Windows computer, change any files through Notepad++ if necessary.
If you want details of what has been done in the ROM, please refer to the original author's thread.
GOAL OF THIS RE-PACK
My goal is to keep the original system but remove every other useless things. I want to drop the ROM size to under 1 Gb. I want to remove all Samsung and Google apps that are not necessary for the system to work. If people want Google Play, I want to simply download it on Open GApps. Of course, for now, I have been unsuccessfully removing other apps and had several boot loops, this is the only package I managed to re-pack that has a successfull boot and work well with my needs.
Why use an old 7.0 version?
Honestly? Because everything! Bluetooth connection, camera, stability. Everything works. The only VERY annoying things I hate about v7.0 are:
PROBELM: Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode does NOT work. Apps compatible with PiP will not display any PiP content such as floating video call windows.
SOLUTION: The only similar effect you can have is by enabling in the dev options the "Force activities to be resizable" at the very bottom. Then, in an app you want to have displayed in a floating window, tap on your "All apps" button and drag your app's window on the little square that says "Open in pop-up view".
PROBLEM: Dark modes for apps like GMail and the user interface is not supported unless you seriously start to tinker arround with very creative workarrounds I have not tested.
SOLUTION: I did not test any.
Kernel Source
The kernel supplied in this re-pack is the original kernel from SamStock's original package (G920W8) with no changes. Based off SamStock's thread which states:
Untouched. Completely stock out of the latest zip from sammobile.
Click to collapse
So source is based off original Samsung Kernel Source.
ROOT Magisk
This rom is NOT ROOTED. I removed the outdated supplied Magisk from the original ROM since I prefer to use the latest available version that works without any issues. Just remember to rename the Magisk APK file's extension to ".zip" and flash after flashing this rom. I also use the original APK file to install after first boot because the zip only enables root access but the APK installs the Magisk manager app and enables the popup message to grant root permissions to apps. It is not a requirement since Magisk will download the app automatically when you try to open it the first time, but it just makes you spend less time waiting for the automatic download and installs the app immediately. Installing the APK manually will require a reboot.
AdAway
This is the goto app to remove annoying ads in almost all apps. ROOT is required. To install, head to ApkMirror and download version 4.3.6. That's the latest version that still works very well on Android v7.0. You will be required to do 2 reboots, one after installing the app and enabling adblock and one for updating the hosts file.
Google
You will have a long update list to go through your initial boot to update all apps from Google App Store INCLUDING the app store itself. Please pay attention to Google Services notification because you may need to manually update Google Services if it does not do it on it's own for apps to work such as GMail and other Google apps.
I suggest you disable the "upday" app which Google Update installs. I hate this app so much that I disable the notification, force stop AND disable the app. I have not found any solution yet to prevent this app from being installed.
XPosed Framework
You need the sdk24 version. It works and boots without any problems BUT, it's old and I found it to be pretty much useless. Some stuff such as the Dark mode for GMail module does not work anymore. So I do not recommend you to install XPosed unless you already are familiar with modules you want to use and already know that is working.
What I wil NOT do (unsupported models)
I own only the W8 version of the phone so any other models I cannot support. BUT, I can say this, you can refer to the debloated list above to remove the apps from the ZIP file and repackage the file yourself for your model by downloading the right version on the original author's mod page. As I mentioned, this is a safe debloat list where the phone successfully boots and setups.
I cannot test phone calls and SMS because I do not use this function on my phone. I use a SIP phone service through GrandStream Wave and VoIP.ms. So if you have any issues concerning phone calls or SMS, please comment or check the list of removed apps above and mention to me what is needed and I will post a new upload with the included package. While you may be waiting for my fix, I suggest you use the original author's files.
KNOWN ISSUES
You will need to install another launcher to be able to change wallpaper since I removed some of Samsung's core apps which were linked to the Samsung store including the wallpaper switcher. I recommend the Microsoft Launcher which is entirely free and has all the basic functions including notification dots and icon pack themes.
INSTALLATION
• Backup your system and files
• Boot in TWRP (Hold Volume Up+Home Button+Power Button)
• Format and advance wipe everything
• Install zip file
• Optional: Install Magisk (rename apk extension to zip)
• Reboot System
Stuck in a bootloop or unresponssive phone?
Hard reboot your phone by holding Volume Down+Home Button+Power Button. Once the screen goes black, immediately Hold Volume Up+Home Button+Power Button and you will be back in TWRP. If it fails, simply repeat the Volume Down hard reboot until you get the timing right with Volume Up afterwards. That's what I do and it works but hopefully, this should NOT happen because it does not on my end.
Permission: I requested month's ago permission from the author and never got an answer so I presume that the project is abandonned or not followed anymore. So if ever the author somehow has specific requests or want's me to remove this, I will do so without hesitating after contacting me through PM.
