I don't like this big text Motorola uses, is it possible to change how they look to how stock android is? I couldn't find anything on xposed modules
You tried Gravitybox? It's been a while since I used xposed.
I know theming works and replaces those (you do mean in the status bar right?) Try flashing a ROM with Layers like cyanogenmod. Different themes will use different icons.
Yeah i fixed it by using a xposed module for moto devices

Surely you can use Xposed framework and a module for that if its not build in the Alliance rom.

Install Xposed.apk from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-installer-versions-changelog-t2714053 (read the OP well) and all available modules like GravityBox which has many UI tweaking options. Xposed modules are available here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/index-xposed-modules-collection-post-t2327541, Xposed is not yet compatible with ART afaik.

Yes. It's not clear if you want to change an existing icon or add something outright.
The former is generally called theming. Usually you can just replace the icon in question with a root aware file browser. Most app icons are in the drawable 360 xxhdpi drawable folder of system apps. The latter either needs an associated app, a smali edit or something to reference the icon.

Hi guys i have brought moto g 2014 3days back. and i wonder is there is any option to add more options like rotation toggle.
Its upto you, if you only want extra toggles then go for without root method and if you want to still customize your phone to a greater level go for root method.
With Root : This will add extra toggles in the quick settings.
Unlock bootloader, root your device. Link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/guide-root-moto-g-2nd-gen-2014-t2874245
Install Xposed Framework and GravityBox KK module. Link : http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.robv.android.xposed.installer
Without root : This will add a bunch of extra toggles in the notification screen.
Install Notification Toggles Link : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.notificationToggle.
Or Power Toggles.
Exposed framework + Gravity box = lots of happiness
Thank u guys for ur response
Have another doubt
I was using cm for past one year now i switched to the moto g. Cm has a feature to open quick toggle by swiping status bar from right side. Is it possible in moto g.

Not possible without rooting. You will have to use Xposed Framework and GravityBox.

Remember that unlocking your bootloadercomes with factory reset -> backup.

Very hard to do with one hand only.
The left/right way is much more effective.

Just saying that the left/right implementation is better than Google's one/two finger method.
GravityBox essentially turns the stock rom into CM or similar. You have all the features, there's no need to actually have CM anymore if you ask me. The only downside is that you do need root (or more specifically, you need root to install XPosed framework, which gravity box needs).

CM isn't just features actually its a lot more.
I don't suppose gravitybox could take my old nexus s to KitKat
BTW nice info here

No, but if you have a stock-rom that's basically AOSP and the latest version of Android, you don't really gain anything by going for a custom rom versus just using GravityBox. The latter version also still allows you to update the stock rom in the normal fashion.

I agree Gravity Box is the way to go. My only mistake was integrating updates into system and now can't get OTA updates. Complains about chrome.apk, etc during verification OTA.
Do you have a twrp backup of the stock XT1068 system for UK version that you could share? (21.11.14.titan_retgb.retgball.en.GB.retgb)
Disable Quick Settings
Is there an option to disable Quick Settings from the top right?
Thanks for the useful info
Hi there, it looks like my bottom part of my nexus 4 touch is dead which makes the navigation bar unresponsive, however i was able to make it work with the help of xposed framework by increasing the height of navbar.
My question is can't i make modification in the rom itself and flash it and make it a parmanent fix so that everytime i factory reset rom i dont have to use xposed framework? Because uninstalling the gravitybox app reverts the changes i made to navbar. If this is possible please let me know the procedure for the same.
Thanks
(Current using AICP rom)

You could install a ROM that has this option incorporated in it, like Chroma, for example. There are more such ROMs in the development section.

Well, another solution would be to decompile framework-res.apk and change the DPI from there. But, as I don't know much about coding, I can't really help you with this...
I just posted this question.
Hi All, so i have been using android ice cold project custom rom on my Oneplus 2 for a long time now and i really love this rom. However now that oxygen 3.0.2 official is here, i'd like to go back to stock on one of my oneplus devices. the problem is, on the custom android ice cold project i have a large variety of custom animation sets mainly 'List View Animation' where scrolling becomes fun.
i am wondering if there's any app that i can install to offer such feature on the official oxygen 3.0.2 even if root is requried. Is there really any app out there that will offer additional animation ?
Please help...
There is xposed modules for it.
I don't use it much but as far as i remember there was a module named XUI mod for this specific feature.
You can also try using gravity box for it i guess that also has this feature (i may be wrong) but there is definitely a xposed module fot it.

Great!! that works perfectly. i got my custom animations a whole lot to tweak on my stock rom. Xposed has always been the answer. Thanks man!!
Hi, I'm new here so correct me if I make any mistakes. I just got a new s4 lte+ and tried installing a cm13 like Rom. It seemed to be a little uncomfortable so I restored my backup. Why I tried moving to this Rom is because of the cool quicksettings tab (the thing that you pull down). Right now I'm running rooted and xposed stock odexed 5.0.1. Is there any way that I can get myself this cool quicksettings menu without using any crappy launchers? Maybe there is a module for that??? I know it's nothing super serious but I thought maybe someone has an idea or did it himself. Thanks !!!
Wanam module might have something similar.
But you won't get CM style on TouchWiz.
