How to hide H,E & 3G above the the network signal ? - Moto G4 Plus Questions & Answers

Is there any way to remove the H,E & 3G which are showing above the network signal, they look too big and are very annoying.

I am using xposed. Haven't found out a way to hide them but changing my 4g display to lte makes it look smaller. There should be a module to do what you want. Will let u know if I find one.

Your homescreen is really butifull
What is your mode and icon and how install xposed?
Sent from my Moto G (4) using Tapatalk

Icons retrorika which is a paid app. Removed navigation bar using gravitybox. Date time format changes also using gravitybox. Installed smart touch for navigation. That's the green dot on the screen.
To install xposed, go thru the link below.

ROM request

All I'm looking for is a ROM that has the Motorola camera the ability to customize all icons (battery, signals, clock etc), easy access to battery saving options and that really it. Everything else is a bonus.

You don't need a ROM you only need root, gravity box, greenify and that's it.

No matter what I use I can't change the colour or the icon for that matter of the wifi/data symbols. I've tried ex themer, Xblast, ROM Toolbox, nothing changes the colour of the signal icons.

Have you tried HK Theme manager for Xposed.....works great. It's similar to the CM/T Mobile theme changer and it uses those themes. Just Google it and you'll find the XDA page.....

Just curious...does the HK Theme Manager cause any lag? I was following it for a bit but saw some discussion about that so stopped watching it.
I enjoyed Cobalt Them on my gNex. I'd kinda like to get those effects back.
BUT, I might not do anything if it causes our good 'Ol Gravity Box to break!
Thanks!
I have zero lag and it does not cause any issues with gravity box. So gar so good. X theme gave me the problems.....
I also like Cobalt.....

I couldn't really figure out HK theme manager either. http://d-h.st/users/proseray?fld_id=0 go to that website download xtheme engine beta 5. Download the apks of the themes you want also on that page and go from there.

X Theme Beta 5 is no longer being developed. You use HK just like X Theme, not sure what the difficulty is.

For some reason HK theme manager just freezes on me. While as xtheme as its no longer supported still works great for me.

Make sure you download the latest version....I'm having absolutely no issues with it. Not sure why so many people are having issues.
Maybe the specific ROM build, busybox version, etc. could be causing issues.

Anyone have the theme chooser app that I need to use the themes on ROM Toolbox? Or know where I can get it

You download them then install them and open up xtheme. It will show picture attached then just press the back button and click on a theme you installed, apply theme and soft reboot.

This is very disappointing.... A lot of people have been helping you out. Obviously your not one to follow directions well.... Use HK theme manager and download the themes provided or do a Google search and really look, read and follow directions. Or follow my advice which the website I provided you if you LOOKED hard enough you would have seen xthemeengine beta 5 apk in the list of apks to download....

Does any mod allow the "pocket mode"?
That is turning on the screen when the phone is taken out from the pocket and there are new notifications.

YouTube Adaway to remove those channel icons and annoying "next videos" on the bottom of the screen.

You can also use Xposed GEL Settings if you have Xposed installed. That's what I used to remove the search bar.

I'm a huge Nova user for years now... having never had a Moto X phone, does using Nova as your default launcher impact Moto Voice and active listening features in any way?
(edit: still waiting on my "should have been delivered by now, but delayed by Moto" Moto X Pure form Motomaker.

Launchers have no affect on Moto features.
I like both Nova and Action Launcher.

How do I get the percentage to show on the status bar? Only the battery icon is there.

You can use an app like this if you don't want to ROOT: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.kroegerama.android4batpercent
Or this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.edavid93.kitkat_battery_percentage
I think the 2nd one is the one I used with this phone up until this week (when I rooted). You don't need to root your phone with either of these, but you may need to restart it (even if it says you don't).

I'm using the first link. I like it. I've read that once you installed it, you can uninstall it and it will still be there.
I use Gsam Battery Monitor. Creates a battery icon in status bar that is easy to read. Also gives you phone temp.

If you pull down the notification area and tap on the status bar to bring up the quick setting menu you can see the percentage. That's good enough for me
I am a big fan of Settings Extended. For battery percentage and other cool notification bar features.
No root required .

Thank you for all the suggestions. I like the root one the best. I am NOT going to root just yet however because I have not decided whether or not I am keeping the device

I'd you don't have root or want to I use an app called Battery Percentage Enabler in the app store. Works great and root not needed.

Drop down status bar. Hold the gear icon for about five seconds. Should swirl and enable system ui tuner under settings. In this menu you can enable battery percentage. No root needed.

Thanks. This worked but it's different then where I enabled it once. I wonder if I'm thinking I did this in 5.1.1 which my phone cane with. I've had the phone less then a month.
Where are the best available instructions located should I decide to root the Moto X pure edition?

Solved
Hi as per your question
Please pull down the notifications bar, now long press on the gear icon for a while.
System ui tuner will be enabled and added to settings.
Go to system ui tuner in settings.
Go to status bar.
There you can find battery and how you want it to be displayed.
Works in Android 6 and 7

How to display battery percentage in status bar?

Curious if the above is possible? Enabled developer mode and didn't see....

Open quick settings by scrolling down from the top with two fingers. Hold down settings gear for a few seconds. System ui will be enabled. Go into settings and enable percentage.
Thank you!!

Like this... There are even more options, but i prefer this one.
Custom Battery Monitor or
Flat Style Bar Indicators.
Both Xposed Models and very customizable.
Particularly the second one.
With this you are able to shape the whole Status Bar whatever the heart desires.
