No, as far as I've searched, no one has made a custom ROM for your tab.
Maybe you'll have to wait for some time till someone creates a ROM.
Else, if you're so interested, learn to create one by yourself
Anyway, you can get most of the features of custom ROMs by just using Xposed Framework and installing modules that you need from it to customize your current firmware.
Yes there is ..... mine.
Mod Edit: link to site that hosts warez and non GPL compliant roms removed.

Please see my edit above. Keep links to that site, and any like it off of XDA.

Is there any tutorial out there which give step by step guide in building a custom rom based on stock firmware? It would help if the guide would be for xperia devices.

Hello everyone,
I'm currently using a Galaxy J5 (2016) and I was wondering if anyone wants to do any modding for it. The only things I've seen so far is the "Light ROM" and the TWRP recovery, but I would love to use another custom ROM or a kernel.
Same, I would live to see a Cyanogenmod ROM for the J510. I've been trying to make a ROM, but it would help if others would do so.
It looks like the guys are working hard on a rom for your model on the developer page. You will just have to wait for more. Until then why don't you download the one available and help test it. The process will help develop more roms
@johnhux7 Can you send me the link to this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j5/development/rom-light-stock-rom-v1-t3467865
I think that this is the link your wanting
I meant a ROM for CM and that one has the final update
I don't think that there is one at yet mate. I think the only way your gonna get that is if you download the ROM that the guy has made. Help him test it, give him feedback and maybe that will help motivate him to go on and build CM12..1 CM 13 etc.
These guys do this work for nothing and it must take them 100's of hours and god knows how many boots of their phones.
Give them a hand and maybe you will get what you want in the future cos there ain't one at present..

It is safe since it was confirmed that it is working.
You have to replace init.qcom.post_boot.sh file with the one from that thread, like is mentioned here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70308367&postcount=5 . So, copy the actual init.qcom.post_boot.sh somewhere to have a backup before replacing it. Dont forget to set the permission after replacing it.
Someone made a flashable zip with it so you can flash it through TWRP: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70409603&postcount=14 .
I don't know why it's any custom kernels for it!
It's a really great device!
A lot of RAM, good battery, CPU and GPU which is good for OVERLOCKING(I see the wonderful custom kernels on different devices with this chip

Hi!
Not everyone can know that Moto G6 Play can own a Treble Project.
Original post:

How to install
Extract the image
Fastboot: Issue command in adb directory:
fastboot flash system <imagedir>
TWRP: Install > Install image > Choose image file > Flash to system

FIX:

Please delete files

Edit.
The Magisk-v17.3 installation may at some point cause the system to slow down and become unstable.
I recommend right after installation to uninstall the apk magisk file or implement version 17.1 in which you can not see the problem.
In case of problems, I will try to solve them.

What was the point of making this? Especially since it works on literally everything, not just the G6 Play.

There is absolutely no point. A bunch of Junior members are just coming on the forum thinking a certain thing because they don't bother to read what's in here in the slightest. In this casebThis one prolly assumed no one for some reason knows about gsi images on here? IDK it's getting annoying tbh

There are people who think only about themselves. Rom is fully functional but slower than stock
Ok but here's this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g6/how-to/treble-roms-moto-g6-t3827241/ that's why we're asking why this is necessary because there's already a thread about the gsi images.......

oh we get that you already know it. but look at this thread. is so damn basic an not detailed, almost no information. this is the first time i have a mobile that's treble enabled and i'm only now getting to know what treble is. through that other thread i wouldn't even realise what that is, and on the internet if u do search it's not too easy to find something clear. and may i say: i aint a noob

The gsi (generic system image) is what project treble is. I'm not gonna explain it all because literally all the info you could ever hope to have about project treble and gsi images are in the forum for project treble....... And also in the second link I put is the instructions (which was made way before this post got made) on how to properly flash the gsi images ?

I understand your trying to help but there has been a whole forum about gsi images for a good while now. With instructions on how to properly flash them. So sorry to say your thread is the one that is not needed here because there is already a whole dedicated forum for it. The flashing process is the same for any device with treble support so for example our moto phones we will flash a gsi image the same way someone with a one plus or the poco phone that's treble supported would. Hence the name GENERIC.
hahahah lol the gsi thread is not here. it is a proper forum. can't you realise that not everybody is familiar to this thing? lol

It's literally right here https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble
I understand not everyone has heard of it. But when there is already a whole forum for this exact post. It kinda makes this post not needed in our devices already cluttered ASF forum. Text makes me sound way more like I'm being an ass about this than what I'm trying to sound like and it sucks ?.
that's the thing. that's a whole forum as well as g6's. so, if you only look into g6's forum you will certainly no find that as it's not mentioned here even as a curiosity. anyway, will you really keep this going on? if you feel like it tell the mods and if they also feel like it they remove, this is not up to you. thanks.
the topic is okay
If the topic violated the rules of the forum, it would have disappeared for a long time.
If your friend is so familiar, let him tell which GSI version is the most stable and fastest and flawless?

There's not necessarily a fully stable or "fastest and flawless" there called generic system images because they are created for all devices that run android 8 and up not just one device that's specifically made for it like the firmware we're used to using. the reason you don't wipe the system for gsi and all that is because the gsi basically attaches itself to the current system then builds itself based on your system So there gonna be different bugs or speed differences with each device. This gsi in this post might work well for the moto g6 play but since it's not specifically made for our device someone with let's say for example a one plus 6 might have issues. the common issues are finger print sensor not working or camera not working. Unless there is a custom rom made just for our phones gsi is the only option we have though right now which will have issues and your bugs. and the forums are not moderated to well for this device it seem that's why it's getting annoying having a post about something that already has a dedicated forum for it. im not saying it's wrong what your doing I'm just saying if someone did this in the moto g4 play forum since I have that phone to it would have either gotten moved to the project treble forum device list or it would have gotten removed with a locked thread and link taking people to the project treble forum.
OK I understand. Come think that the topic is only purely informational. Thanks for the straightening and in-depth introduction that I should include in the subject.

Just to let you know, I did flash this onto my G6, it booted up fine but keeps giving me the "Device is not Certified by Google" Error during setup and seems to get caught up on the "Checking Info" screen and not going forward. Any solutions for this?
I cannot find the thread that used to teach you how to update the One Plus 8 pro if you're rooted with Magisk. I could come, and click the guides or whatever and it was a sticky thread. Now I get some idiot boxes, search doesn't find it, and this is totally stupid. This site really sucks now. Can someone link me please? And is there a better place to go for android stuff that's organized the way XDA used to be?
Specificity required?
I am using Magisk. I want to update with OTA. You have to do some crap and then install to active and inactive or something and reboot. Can someone point me to the thread since I cannot search for it, it is not stickied and the entire site is about as "improved" as my credit card was "improved" by going from the old magnetic strips to this stupid RFID, which is more insecure, takes 10 times as long, and is somehow not a bug but a feature?
Searching the internet finds me nothing but some crappy posts that don't look like the one I saw on XDA telling me to do crap that doesn't make sense. Anyone know where the old thread is?

Quite simple to find.

Hi all, Have seen a lot of requests for patched boot images on these threads so thought i'd share a guide on how to get it yourself as well as all the files required, plus the patched boot.img if you just want to go ahead and boot/flash it...
