how to factory restore the tab...i saw many flashing guides bt the problem is i downloa the firmware files...bt dont know where are the other files like PDA, CSC and PHONE files....plz asap...
To check your version of these files just type *#1234# in a dialer
what i mean is whn i try to flash...in the guides i saw that i have to put phone csc n pda files also...bt i got only the firmware file...i dont have these files...so where can i download them??
my system files are
PDA DDJK3
PHONE DDJJ1
CSC DDJJ1
If all you want to do is perform a Factory Restore then all you need do is either go to Settings/Privacy and where it says Personal Data select 'Factory Data Reset', or with your phone switched Off put the phone into Recovery Mode using the two button press method.
Press and hold both the Volume Up & Power button. After a brief period you should then see a menu appear with options. Now using the volume up/down keys select from the options 'Factory Restore and hit the power button'.
Your Tab will then be restored.
Well i tried that...bt the problem is i have rooted tab n i deleted many system apps which r creating for my tab now...so i want a complete firmware restore...i read guides so i think i have to flash it now...bt i m nt able to finds proper guides for it...they say in Odin first i have to select .pit file thn phone pda n csc files,..so my question is where ill get this files?
i recently just reset my factory reset my phone and now my phone doesn't have any 3g/data. is there anyway to re enable the data?
Go to Settings>About Phone> What does it say in modem, and kernel?
You may need to flash a new modem (i suggest KB5) idk about kernel, but you need a kernel lol.
odin back to stock
power off phone
pull out battery
GRAB THIS STUFF : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1047087
turn on odin
attach phone to pc with usb cable
now while holding down both volume buttons put battery back in.
now you should be in download mode and go back to stock with odin from here!
make sure u put the proper tar file in pit and the .pda file in pda in there proper places on odin and ur set to go.
Enjoy and also make sure u have the proper samsung drivers
Normally, i just go to settings, wireless n network, mobile networks, access point, press menu press default access point..
Or you may need to create one, just make up whatever for access point,... Then press menu again and press default access point so you'll get the default epc.tmobile.com..
Then wait 30 to a minute for the 3g icon to appear..
Hope it works..

hi again hope to get help from you all i am stuck on MID csc but i need to go back to XFA i tried flashing xfa an eve tried this
1. Run and configure Odin. Do NOT check “Re-Partition” and “Auto Reboot” check boxes.
2. Load the stock firmware in the PDA button.
3. Set the phone in download mode (Volume Down+Home+Power button). Then connect the phone in your computer.
4. Hit the “Start” button and then wait.
5. Once the flashing successfully completed. Do NOT let it reboot into the normal mode.
6. Reboot into recovery mode (Volume Up+Home+Power button).
7. See if it’s applying the CSC file then wait until it finishes and reboot.
8. If you do not see the CSC installation, instead choose the “Wipe data/Factory reset”. Then repeat flashing the stock firmware. You may then achieved the CSC code flashing the stock firmware on the second attempt.
10. Confirm the CSC code by using Kies 3 or by downloading Phone INFO ★Samsung★ and see if the CSC code has changed.
and this
This worked just fine for me & I am confident about that this will work on your device too.
But remember this may can do a "FACTORY RESET",
So backup your data firstfi
Open your phone’s dialer and type the following code with your device IMEI number:
*#272*Phone’s IMEI Here#
No software required
and no luck i even tried flashing just the modem also no luck
never mind i got it fixed so if any one want help i will help but it is a long thing to do but at least it worked for me

Hi @biebie29. I have a similar issue for an S7 Edge. Currently on XSG CSC but want to go back to my own country code XFA.
Would very much like to know what you did as I can't find an answer to my problem.
How to root N20 (N985F/N986B/N9860)
WARNING!
Before you root your device you must be aware that
This will void warranty.
As of now you will lose Samsung Pay and Samsung Pass forever if you root once, even unrooting won't help.
There are many features stop working when you unlock bootloader other than S pay/Pass like Samsung Health, Secure Folder, Galaxy Watch pairing issue, Issue connecting old gear watch (S3 or earlier), Google Pay etc but some ROMs are patched for all these mentioned features, you can use custom ROM or patch it yourself for stock ROM. Still you may trouble using some bank apps and these may fixed by adding these apps to Magisk Hide
There may be some knox features there which you may not able to use but I can't list those as I never used. Just Google It
Patched featurs are working today when writing this, No idea if it may stop working next moment/tomorrow or later
Also to note, once you root, you can't go back to "pre-rooted" state completely. It is one way!
OTA won't work once you root device.
ROOT with caution.
You can unroot & Relock bootloader after flashing stock firmware, but still your warranty flag remain 0x1 and most of countries it still voids warranty. Also after unrooting & relocking bootloader, some knox features never work again.
How to Unlock Bootloader
Follow below four steps to ulock the bootloader
1.Enable Developer Option
Open the Settings app on your Galaxy device.
Choose About > Software Information.
Now tap on Build Number 7 times to enable the developer option.
You’ll get a message “You’re now a developer.”
Now Developer option has been enabled.
2: Enable OEM Unlock
Go to the Settings app again on your device.
Navigate to the Developer option.
Enable the toggle next to OEM Unlocking.
Tap YES to turn on the confirmation dialog box.
3: Boot Your device to Download Mode
While device is booted → Connect device to PC → Select to Restart → As soon as device screen turns off, Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down simultaneously OR In case device is powered off Press and hold Volume Up + Volume Down simultaneously and connect your device to the PC via a USB Cable.
You can see the warning message on your device and release the pressed keys.
Finally, press the Volume Up key once, and you will be booted into Download Mode.
4: Unlock Bootloader
Once device booted into Download Mode, you will see option to long press Volume up to unlock bootloader,Now, press and hold the Volume Up key for a few seconds., Here, you’ll get a confirmation whether you are sure to proceed.
Use the Volume Up button to reply to the confirmation.
This will erase all the data on your device and unlock the bootloader.
Once completed, your device will automatically boot up to the OS.
Now you have successfully unlocked the bootloader
How to root
Instructions for stock non rooted ROM
Use either samfirm.js, Frija, or Samloader to download the latest firmware zip of your device directly from Samsung servers.
Unzip the firmware and copy the AP tar file to your device. It is normally named as AP_[device_model_sw_ver].tar.md5
Install Magisk apk
Press the Install button in the Magisk card
Choose “Select and Patch a File” in method, and select the AP tar file
When done, copy patched file to PC
Reboot to download mode. Open Odin on your PC, and flash magisk_patched.tar as AP, together with BL, CP, and CSC (NOT HOME_CSC because we want to wipe data) from the original firmware.
Your device should reboot automatically once Odin finished flashing. Agree to do a factory reset if asked.
Install the Magisk app you’ve already downloaded above and launch the app. It should show a dialog asking for additional setup.
Let the app do its job and automatically reboot the device. Voila!
Upgrading the OSOnce you have rooted your Samsung device, you can no longer upgrade your Android OS through OTA. To upgrade your device’s OS, you have to manually download the new firmware zip file and go through the same AP patching process written in the previous section. The only difference here is in the Odin flashing step: do NOT use the CSC tar, but instead use the HOME_CSC tar as we are performing an upgrade, not the initial install.
Important Notes
Never, ever try to restore either boot, recovery, or vbmeta partitions back to stock! You can brick your device by doing so, and the only way to recover from this is to do a full Odin restore with data wipe.
To upgrade your device with a new firmware, NEVER directly use the stock AP tar file with reasons mentioned above. Always patch AP in the Magisk app and use that instead.
Never just flash only AP, or else Odin may shrink your /data filesystem size. Flash AP + BL + CP + HOME_CSC when upgrading.
PS : It is strongly recommended to make EFS backup once you root device and save to safer place like on cloud or PC

What I guess, here unlocked means sim unlocked NOT bootloader.
Some people might need clarification. An "unlocked" phone is not the same as a phone with an unlockable bootloader. If it's the same pattern from the past several years of Note releases. All of the snapdragon US versions won't have the ability to have their boot loaders unlocked, therefore a root. This root method most likely applies to the non-US Exynos versions. If you live in the US, and ordered your phone through Samsung or any carrier, it will be the snapdragon version. I hope I'm proven wrong.

I coming from the note 9.
If it's rooted, how do I update it?
