I've installed fastboot, and it can communicate fine with the phone, but I can't seem to get the MSM8994DownloadTool tool to do anything, I run it as admin and click the Start button... and some text changes on all the rows and nothing, no progress bar nothing for hours.
I was first trying to do this via a VMware VM (on Mac) but read somewhere that, that doesn't work, so now I'm using the installed Windows 10 bootcamp, but doesn't seem to help. (edit, I have now found out that it doesn't matter, and it seems to work just fine in a VM or desktop computer)
I've also disabled the Driver signature enforcement feature on Windows 10.
I installed the Oneplus 2 driver that comes on the phone when it's running Android.
As you can see I have no Ports section, only the MarshallLondon Device, which is what disappears when I unplug the phone while in fastboot mode.

I'm using the "full Oxygen OS 150805 restoration package" linked here http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/oneplus-solution-hard-bricked-device-t3183449
I've seen a youtube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARyaWKpRz3U&feature=youtu.be&t=4m5s and he has the device in the Ports sub item in the Device Manager, where as I seem to get this "Marshall London Bootloader Interface", which when you try and update with the driver provided in the opt2 zip says it is already up to date.
PS, the whole reason I'm using this downloadtool is because the phone's recovery doesn't work and it's OEM locked.
Anyone have any ideas where I'm going wrong?
Any suggestions would be very welcome
Edit
Well solved this issue (though the phone still doesn't work).
Turns out somehow I missed the critical step, you don't want to be in fastboot mode, you want this other mode, which you can get to by having the phone off, then pressing vol up and plugging in the USB.
Or plug in the phone USB and hold down vol up and power for about 30 seconds, or until you see (hear) a device show up in the Device manager, most likely with a question mark, unless you;ve already installed the drivers for it..

Hello,
I was trying to flash the Skrilax Bootloader with the backthund3r flashing utility and something goes wrong.
Now I have a black screen on my tablet, led on the flashing is stuck halfway.
I hope somebody could help me.
Here is what I have done exactly :
Plug the tablet.
Run blackthund3r A500APXFlash.exe
Enter SBK
Choose V8-Thor_1.7.3_recovery.a500apx
Choose the automatic method.
Click enter APX Mode --> black screen on the tablet / let on.
I have had a warning about a bad Acer driver, so I had to reinstal the driver using the link that was provided by the software.
AT THIS STEP I HAD TO UNPLUG THE TABLET TO INSTALL THE SOFTWARE...I DID IT WITHOUT QUITING A500APXFlash
Once the drivers are installed I clicked "Try again" to got to the APX Mode.
I thought it was ok but because I had the black screen on my tablet but in fact the device was not connected "No APX mode detected", I guess I didnt focused on that...
What next is that I click next anyway and didnt cancel the flash.
Had the message box for the bootloader check, I clicked 'No' because the tablet didnt load into the bootloader.
Now backthund3r is stuck halfway and the tablet is not responding (blackscreen, led on).

}
At this step I really don't know what to do...
Is there someting I shout do to continue the flashing process ?
OR shoud I stop I try to hard reset my tablet ?
TIA for your help...
Well.. I just hard reset my tablet and it's working again.
Hey guys, I'm having issue trying to unbrick my Axon 7.
Trying to boot my phone at all gives me this issue no matter the mode:

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This happens before everything, so I can't enter recovery, DFU, nor FTM.
And EDL mode seems to be broken as the red light indicator stays on and device is detected as this
Xiaomi Flash, Axon7Toolkit, and this doesn't see the device
On my second working Axon 7 the device manager detects it properly as 9008, so I assume that my drivers are installed properly.
Any other ways of unbricking?
EDIT:
I've also tried the 4th category brick repair but it always ends up in
catastrophic failure 0x8000ffff
Guess I'm ****ed huh?
Have you tried the DFU multi tool from @raystef66 ?

Yes, I did. But my QUSB_DRIVER had a warning sign so it wasn't detected by it.
@iampro17: You say that the QUSB_DRIVER had a warning sign. Go to Device Management in Windows 10 and post the exact error/warning here. To get there:
Hold Windows key then tap R key
Type in "devmgmt.msc" without quotes
Right click on QUSB_BULK driver
Make sure you run the DFU multitool in Win 7 compatibility if you are running Win 8 or Win 10.
It seems to have a conflict if it's not on Win 7
You will also get the device disconnected status.
Hi all,
My Wife's tablet seem to be stuck in somesort of system update loop.
I can't seem to put it into recovery mode using
HOME + Volume up + POWER
I can put the tablet in DOWNLOAD mode using HOME + Volume down + POWER, but my PC does not seem to detect the tablet
Using OdinV3 3,14 with the Samsung USB drivers installed.
Is the tablet a lost cause or can i try something else to fix it?
Here is a screenshot what i see on the screen for a brief moment before it reboots.

====Edit2
So I found me some firmware for my device from sammobile, I hope I can use Odin to flash this on the tablet

======EDIT3
So the flash process was stuck in hthe initialization phase for to long and I decided to unplug the device and try again. Now don't ask me why but this time the device automatically booted up in recovery mode and I was able to factory reset the device. It now boots up fine... Can someone explain what is going on? All seems fine now.
Kind regards,
Maniak
Can anyone tell me the best firmware that's available for my head unit Latest Firmware MCU (K2001_NWD_S212109) Preferable Rooted or am i on the latest version possible for this unit at the moment?
I have pulled hardware info and will show screenshots of my findings, i would like to root this unit so i can get to the whitelist file to allow tasker to work via a fast boot, i have tried multiple different things to get root on this device
All the software APK methods they all fail
i Trying to do it via the pc ADB method but no luck there Even though i get toADB no issues i cannot get to SU I'm stuck in User
Also trying to reach the bootloader i run the command in ADB "adb reboot recovery" it reboots successfully goes to recovery but does not give me the usual menu says something about command then takes me out of the bootloader
couple of things iv tried to work around on this car stereo is, i downloaded shortcuts to accessibility, security menus as they are stripped out i can get to Services option if i go to accessibility shortcut and lets me enable power optimization but that's had no effect on the quick boot start up, and when i attempt to access the security menu it drops me back to the home screen obviously don't have permissions to get there
Does anyone have one of these devices that they have successfully rooted or changed the firmware to allow root i hate being locked in a rom that gives me no options to customize my headhunt,

My Poco M3 Pro was not showing on the xiaomi batch unlock tool, I tried lots and lots of things. I followed https://developer.android.com/studio/run/oem-usb and thus downloaded the rar from here https://web.vip.miui.com/page/info/mio/mio/detail?postId=18464849&app_version=dev.20051 and extracted and tried to install with Windows Device Manager and got this:
Windows encountered a problem installing drivers for your device
Windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attemping to install them
Android ADB interface
The hash for the file is not present in the specified catalog file. The file is likely corrupt of the victim of tampering
I also tried running the batch unlocker as admin, tried installing the google usb driver from Android Studio, and tried re-entering fastboot mode many times, and with different cables

Well, I downloaded an older MiUi Unlock tool that is listed here: https://c.mi.com/thread-2262302-1-0.html. I tried this one http://miuirom.xiaomi.com/rom/u1106245679/4.5.514.47/miflash_unlock-en-4.5.514.47.zip and it has an option (in the gear settings icon) to install the drivers. I clicked on it, installed the drivers, and then gone back to the latest version of the unlock tool, and it recognized the phone!
PS: if this does not work try updating the MiUi to the latest one. I think the link he gave is for download the driver, but then you have to do into Device Manager, find your android device and install the driver for it. This step failed for me but anyways, worth a try. I've seen some people saying that this driver https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb worked but I could not add to my Android device in the Device Manager.
PS: still gotta wait for 168 hours and see if this will actually gonna work though
