Have you tried it yet? What do you think of it?

i've been trying for hours to get my updated downloaded. at least six times in the past 18 hours. i kept getting the "update failed error 404" response. what finally worked was somewhere between attempting to re-download the update in safe mode, and also clearing the cache. my phone apparently force rebooted itself on its own and when i tried again (at 5:15 a.m. CST) the update installed.
Guys this version has Greek language?or any other way to add Greek language?
6.0.1 Update for Verizon Note Edge
I had the issue with this update erroring every time I tried the OTA (4 times). What I did is hook up to my computer and back up my important stuff, then factory reset. First thing I did after that is hook up to wifi and run the check for system update. Downloaded and installed, worked on first try, and runs clean and smooth on mine. Hope this helps someone
Resetting worked for me. But I'm still having issues even after a clean install. I still get unfortunately blah blah blah and soft restarts which ask for your password instead of my fingerprint. Anyone else?

What worked for me was turning off network time. I kept getting error 404 until I manually set my phone's time to the current time.
These soft reboots are so annoying. I have it happen while using waze, after a phone call, it's so random. We wait about a year for an update to get a buggy rom, nice

Hey there, when I try installing the update, I'm greeted with an error midway through, and it resets
I tried installing it on wifi, and plugged into a charger, and still nothing.
I should note that the phone is rooted, though.
If you're rooted then OTA updates will download but will not install. You will need to use KIES or grab from Sammobile.

Here is an even better advice, If you have any build earlier than MJ6. STAY ON IT! New firmwares have TERRIBLE battery. Cheers
Hi All,
On Tuesday i downloaded the OTA after getting the notification. The download completed but update paused because of low power. I plugged the Nexus into the mains and went to bed. In the morning i found that the 7 had not updated........any idea? My Nexus 5 updated no problem and i LIKE it.....A LOT!
John.
Are you rooted?
Same thing happened to my daughters 7. Update downloaded plugged in to let it charge up, came back and the update was gone, and tablet shows no system updates are available.
Similar happened to me. I got notification about update available. I downloaded the update successfully, confirmed to reboot and install the update but nothing happened after reboot. Update not installed. When I check for update now it shows that it's up to date... I'm running on completely stock ROMs only since beginning, installing OTA updates only as they come...

100% stock unrooted and unmodified (SO's tablet), downloaded and rebooted and no L - boo
- Clearing the device cache might help. The OTA is usually stored there so that would delete any partial or full downloads, and might restart the whole process.
- You could always sideload the OTA from your computer. The option is in the stock recovery mentioned in the link above. Just Google how. And you don't need to be rooted for that.
- You might consider waiting for the next update. A lot of users are complaining about performance of 5.0, especially on 2012 model. Personally mine runs great. First couple of days had a bit of lag but now it's as smooth as it was on 4.4.4
Rooted Nexus 4 Lollipop Update
Hi All,
My nexus 4 is rooted & i just got the lollipop update. However, during installation of the same, i got a question, Fix Root, with a red color exclamation sign on android robot. As i didnt know what was going on, I selected no. It rebooted my phone & I am still on 4.4.4 Now there is no OTA available. I have tried clearing cache memory, still its showing, System is up date. Please help as i dont mind loosing my root privileges over lollipop update.

Root Access Possibly Lost Fix?
THIS CANNOT BE UNDONE
1. YES fix root (/system/xbin/su)
2. NO do not fix
Hello all.
I have an SGH-I337 and I am having some issues as of late.
The phone would not complete an update to the latest (4.4.4) OTA... and that's when my issues began.
I acquired this phone from a family member that got themselves an LG-G3. The power button was broken (would reboot constantly) and the card reader was busted. Nothing that $50 didn't fix... so after that, I received the phone and towel rooted. Decided to keep the phone stock so I could use it for work and leave my personal Nokia 1520 out of my work related tasks... so I removed Towel Root, and did OTA to NI1... but when the new one came in, the OTA would stop at 25% and reboot. On reboot, the phone would display the custom screen with the unlocked padlock... so I thought maybe the root/safestrap was not removed properly... so I decide to give it the Odin treatment.
First try, it stopped at writing.
Second try, more errors at the beginning, I can't recall them.
Third try, Odin stops at writing again.
So, I download Kies in hopes of using emergency restore... to no avail. Kies would simply lock up and tell me the phone was incompatible. I downloaded the previous version and no go. I then tried Odin just for S and Gs... and this time, it did work. I successfully installed . I337UCUFNB1_4.4_Stock_Odin_tar from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2674223
Now, the phone reports only (and exactly) 16.00GB total storage available... and it STILL won't accept OTA updates. If it helps, which I don't think so, I am using Google Now launcher, and UCCW apps for customization, nothing else.
Help? How can I get the rest of my storage back and be able to get OTAs for when the STOCK Lollipop comes in?
I would Odin nb1 again them do a factory reset and clear cache right afterwards. Hopefully that'll get the storage correct.

I will try this and get back with the results. Thanks for your quick reply.
USA user of Russian version yotaphone 2. Got notified three days ago of the 1.1.124 update but every time I tried the phone would reboot, fail to update, reboot back to android and re-download the update to try again. I made a video of what it did. After two days of trying and an unanswered tweet and support email later it magically corrected itself.

I did try copying the update from cache and sideloading. I'm rooted but with stock recovery. Recovery at least gave me a better understanding of what could have happened. Seems there was a problem with the zip. Apparently there was a problem with ALL of them since I re-downloaded it about 8 times before it worked!
I post this here as a reference.

UK user of the same. Tried the OTA but was still on TWRP, didn't work. Then flashed stock recovery. Now it downloads, and that's kind of it: I press 'restart & install', it count down to restart then just switches to prior screen saying "your system is up to date". Going to try pulling it from the cache and adb sideload weh I get a chance.
How'd the sideloading go?

Any decent new features / battery improvements?
Just updating to say have got a new phone. Loved the Yota for the first year and it's use when outside is outstanding but have spent far too long trying to update and fix things, it doesn't really last more than a month without getting intolerably slow so I've upgraded. Might get around to sorting the Yota out but probably more likely to just reset it and save it for sunny days reading in the park or summit.
Hey all! I was stoked to see nougat coming out today, but now am having issues with the installation. It downloads without a problem (tried both WiFi and cellular), starts the installation, then stalls at 32%, reboots, and gives error code 402.
I have been rooted in the past but have flashed back to stock using Odin previously. This is the first time I have tried to take an OTA since that process. I have already wiped the cache partition but have not done a full reset yet. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you!
I'm working on making a new thread for this now. Check the forum in just a few.

Are you you package disabler pro? If so make sure all apps are turned back on before attempting.
