com.android.phone error after flash to 4.4.2

Hi guys
i'm receiving the mentioned error every time i reboot my phone (( after flash to 4.4.2 poland ))
anybody knows what is that ? how can fix that ?

i think your EFS is corrupted bro.. dont you have a backup of your EFS?
cant remember where that thread is though
just search thread for the solution for EFS.. i hope i helped..

my phone in not locked . so my problem is not related to EFS .
i installed CWM , and tried to factory reset .
after that wipe cach and dalvik !
but the problem still persisit . my it resolve by flash the 4.4.2 again via odin ?

Did you try factory resetting by going to stock recovery? You will, of course, lose all your data but thats one of the ways to make your phone usable again.

Try
first wipe data
if won't help try with odin another install of 4.4.2 XEO

i removed SD card and sim card ==> flash it again ==> it start without any problem
but when i insert the sd and sim , after reboot , the problem happening again
does it related to SD card problem ?

I have the same problem but only with my own SIM card. I changed SIM and this message didn't appear. I tried this with 3 different SIM cards and everything was fine. The only problem I have is coming when I use my original SIM.
I also removed SIM pin and I don't have this message anymore. Try to remove pin request and try some other SIM cards.

but the error still exist , after reboot :crying:
why ?! maybe cause it based on N9005XXUENA6_N9005OXXENA5_XEO and my sim card "2G" has problem with this ?!
is there any way to return back to my original 4.3 N9005XXUDMJ7_N9005OJVDMJ4_KSA ? and wait for my region update ?

U can't go back to 4.3 once u flash 4.4, check your IMEI in settings & match with phone box or under battery.

do u mean *#06* ?

Trying to find out your EFS folder is corrupt,r u able to make calls? receiving msg?

Try a new sim card, com.android.phone error happened to a few people, new sim card fixed. Or it's possible because you have a 2G sim card, the phone is trying to pull data off it which isn't there

yeah , i think that is cause of my sim card , that is not match with poland baseband .
MB3 is out , but i should its better to waiting for my region baseband . middle east

i had my problem solved
I i just got a acer liquid z200 and it came with that problem " Unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped " so i solved it this way: when a make a reset hte phone asks about the language imput and the country i am in... so i am portuguese but i like to keep the phone in english do for the first couple ou time i went with english and englan for location, then i always got that problem... until i read somewhere it could be a SIM problem and the country. so i tried english for language bur portugal for country and it has solved the problem so far.
Hope i am any help for you guys.

How to reset radio band for the axon 7?

Hi my axon is always on LTE but a very bad LTE I cannot even call and all of this because I use 4g switcher app and select cellular 800 in "choose radio band" the only other choice on the app is USA band and it's doesn't work so please how to restore this parameter?

Hi , I did the same mistake but through the service menu 4636 . As a result , no more cellphone network . First, my Axon 7 is a "G" for the european market and is not rooted , no twrp , I only did the update (nougat 7.1.1) provided in the german website .
I tried a lot of things ( another simcard , second slot , factory reset ) the only solutions found in forums were for rooted and modified devices . ZTE support didn't respond to my answers .
So , I rolled back in marshmallow 6.0.1 without the simcard installed . In order to do that , I took the B10 update from the german ZTE website ( It downgrade the axon 7 from nougat 7.1.1 to marshmallow 6.0.1) . I renamed the file update.zip and placed it in the root of the SDCARD . Then I went to update software in the settings and it found the rollback update .
Did the update and after the restart , I think it's because it restarted without SIMCARD , the phone asked me to enter the android password . So I went in the recovery mode ( Vol+ & Power ) , I wiped data and reinstall my simcard . Reboot and YAAAASSSSSSS , finally worked as it was out of the box . I've lost all my apps but nothing really important , I will never try to change that crappy radioband again . Try to find a B10 update for your region , and do the rollback , maybe it will work for you .

Hi, may I suggest you modify the embedded systems for modem to see if you can unlock more of the European bands so you won't have this issue anymore and the phone would work as a regular phone made for the European market, this is possible and on my axon 7 u model I was able to unlock the Verizon band 13 which was being restricted at the embedded level. There is a guide on the forums on how to do it, it mostly generic for all devices that have a snap dragon processor.

K920 china version no signal ater flashing stock rom ?

my phone is china model and after recover back to stock rom s288 row everything is going well but sim cards signal is not activated although the Imei is found ..
what can I do to get back the signal ???

If you have flashed CN version with ROW room you need to replace NON-HLOS file and flash it again. You can find NON-HLOS file in google. I think. If not I can send you the on that I've found.

I searched this file at google , downloaded it , replaced it in the firmware , QFIL it again but the problem is still found plus there is no wifi connection and the imei became null .
what can I do now ? please send me your Hlos file that worked well with you

So today i manually update my s7 edge to oreo via odin the firmware came from sammobile and it is russian firmware 8.0 oreo.
Now my my phones imei turned to 000000000000000 both sim 1 and 2 igot no connection in sim card but it is reading my sim. I really need your help guys! Please help me i dont know what to do.

I would try doing an emergency recovery using Samsung Kies (google it). If that doesn't work, try another ODIN image.

Dude, you need a Factory Binary Rom. Just search on youtube and try.

I tried all combination firmware but none of it work.

Flash android 7 official firmware according to your region. Not the oreo

Hi ! Do you a have a efs.img backup ? Or any kind of IMEI/EFS/RADIO backup ?
I had the same problem I flashed the stock ROM and somehow I lost my IMEI info, I tried everything and I was even thinking about buying a z3x box but then I decided to do a very risky move , I completely deleted all the EFS related files/info and reflashed again but now I was not able to boot because I always sent me to recovery mode saying that :
"E:Failed To Mount /EFS (invalid argument )"
Then all I did was installing TWRP and rooted my SM-G935F and then I placed my efs.img backup on my internal SD CARD and went on recovery launched the terminal and wrote this :
dd if=/sdcard/efs.img of=/dev/block/platform/155a0000.ufs/by-name/EFS
Then I wrote reboot and it finally my phone was booting and I recovered my IMEI and was able to use my phone normally.
This only works if you have a backup of your EFS, and even if you do is risky , but I did it because I lost all hope and was accepting the fact that my phone would just become a useless wifi only device .

Moto G4 Plus SIMCARD No Signal

My Moto G4 Plus (XT1640) was on Stock Rom 7.0 everything working fine, so i got a OTA update, downloaded it and installed, at first it got bootloop so i forced it to power off (Power button and Volume minus) and rebooted it, but the Simcard doesnt get signal , only recognizes tells my sim number but no signal
I already tried everything, after the problems with the official 8.1 via OTA, i tried to downgrade to Stock Rom 7.0, unlocked bootloader , downgraded to 7.0 and it still doesnt get signal on Simcard and when i check the IMEI it was 0, so i installed TWRP and flashed Arrow OS 9.0 triyng to get IMEI and Simcard signal back, Clean flash i got my IMEI back but the Simcard doesnt get signal, recognizes but i cant do calls or use 4g keeps all the time "No Signal"
So i see installed "Stable Oreo 8.1 OPJ28.111-22" flashed it through TWRP and it is with the same problem no signal ... If anyone can help me pls message me or reply this, i need my phone to work!

What does your baseband report as, can you provide the full string (including the line after the .77R)?

With that baseband, I'd try downloading the factory firmware (do not flash) and use the programutags.bat as I mentioned in the other post. See if that repairs your device.

After i use the programutags.bat i got my signal back for some seconds and lost it another time and now it shows "Only Emergency Calls" i check my IMEI and as u can see on the screenshots, ive lost my IMEI, so i think thats because i lost my IMEI using this that my SIM isnt working, i already try my Sim in another device and it is Ok. What can i do to recover my IMEI ? I have a TWRP EFS Backup that i did on Arrow Os 9.0 with IMEI fine, but with the same problem of signal ... , I tried to flash TWRP and restore this backup,it shows sucessful but my IMEI wasnt back

You may have lost your baseband downgrading back to Nougat, since you mentioned you had already updated to stock Nougat.
You could either fastboot flash the Oreo firmware or try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/guide-moto-g4-plus-imei0-issue-t3859068
That script should have reprogrammed your hw partition and set the correct parameters for your radio, so I'm not sure what's happened to your baseband.

I honestly do not know - your best bet is to backup your EFS using Lyuu's TWRP as recommended in the Arrow OS thread. At least you'll have a copy of your modemst1/modemst2 that hopefully will restore your signal. Then flash ArrowOS and the relevant GApps.
You may lose signal if you revert back to stock firmware.

Thank you! I already post an update, after two days searching for solutions i finally got it, but i am on Stock ROM 7.0 with ElementalGX Kernel and root that was the requirements https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/guide-moto-g4-plus-imei0-issue-t3859068 of this post that i used with your help too, but i dont know if this Kernel is better than the stock kernel, Im interested in flashing Arrow Os 9.0, what do u think is better i stay on the stock 7.0 or flash it ?

Again, it's up to you. ElementalX is a good kernel, though it really depends on what you want from your device. If you want stability, then the stock ROM and ElementalX (or flashing the stock Oreo firmware and then ElementalX/loony) are your choices. If you want more customisation, then Arrow OS or another custom ROM are your options. It really is up to you.

After all this trouble i think is better i stay on the Stock 7.0 with the ElementalX Kernel, i need my phone to work, so ill stay on the stock i spent like 2 days to find the solution lol
