I have everything working except xposed. Do you use xposed?
I haven't tried xpose yet but I will tonight I already got a back up just incase. Did it boot loop when you flashed expose or did it just say it wasn't installed on the xposed installer.
asking the obvious here. Any word on TMO?
Downloaded the ruu had a few mishaps till I found the seamless-root latest one. HTC desire 626s boost. Gonna try exposed module. Some programs don't recognize the root fully yet. Don't ask or don't detect it.
Just curious how does the notification/settings tab look? Can you screen shot that also. Thanks
:c
I can not update, I get error 155, :crying:

Do you have busybox installed if not make sure you do Busybox is something that you install on your phone to give you some additional handy Linux commands. You need Busy Box installed because some commands are not available to you and you made need them for some root level tasks.
I'm not sure if Busybox is necessary to root, but I don't think so. But many root level apps require busybox, so if you don't install it you're losing some of the benefits of rooting
Busybox is a must. I'm running the version of xposed some recommended in another post for the sprint version work on boost too(framework 79, beta 4 xposed apk). Same company. Was trying custom animations. I believe just the app needed to be updated. All other apps work fine with root permions. 6=0=1 needs debloating. Needs Mordern Jesus.

SWEET, thanks. Was anyone on the stock debloated when they took the update?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/des...m-flashable-stock-htc-626s-debloated-t3293602
Never actually owned a device that became eligible for an upgrade:laugh:
After update
Is anyone else getting force closes on like every game they try after updating and rooting/installing twrp and xposed, and fc on some apps or certain options in apps?
I have the Boost version of the HTC Desire 626s, and running the sprint_stock_626s_1.24.651.2_debloatedV2. I was using TWRP, but after problems today I flashed back to stock recovery, but it did not fix the problem.
Update keeps failing. I let it download, click ok and then it says unzipping file. After a minute or so it jumps to 100% and disappears, then another minute or so and the phone restarts to recovery with the red triangle and !. I press power and volume up to get to the next screen and at the bottom in yellow letters in reads..

Read / Write r/w to SD card solved as well (read a few quick comments about ppl experiencing issues w/ this).

Tried this but the same issue as with another procedure I tried.
"Drivers need to be installed for connected device"
Why? I selected which FTF fw file the flashtool should be using, but it's still giving me this error. So strange that no one has had this issue, even though no guide mentions that one needs to install these drivers... :S

Maybe others actually install the drivers then
Goto C:\Flashtool\Drivers
and run
drivers.exe
Choose fastboot, flashmode and Z3 drivers
Then try again. The guides also do not mention that you have turn the PC on, some sort of self help in overcoming errors does help. If it says drivers need to be installed, install them...
PS, also there is never a need to quote the whole OP, I will edit that out for you

Choose the flashmode and fastboot drivers as well
If you are running Windows 8/8.1 you need to allow installation of unsigned drivers.
No problems with rw access if you follow the steps. Xposed installs normaly, as always, no problem installing it.
Rw access to SD is solved by installing SDfix from Market. I did it, and it's working as expected.

Hi
I'm having a strange problem with my phone. I cannot install any rom through TWRP. I mean it says "installation completed", but sdcard is empty. There are not a single file there!
I thought about 5.0 after unsuccessful installation of xnote rom. Everything went fine through odin and I was able to use the phone. What I noticed after flash, there are some additional apps from xnote like xposed, xnote transformer, app settings etc.
My actual TWRP version is 2.8.5.0 and the phone is N910F
Any advice?
FOR ANYONE COMING TO MY THREAD - THE SOLUTION IS AT THE END OF THE THREAD.

My problem is with the phone itself. My sd card is fine.
by /scdcard I meant the place where any rom is installed
Or I missunderstood something
Refresh
Changed the sd card and still nothing. It happened after installing Lollipop TWRP is wrong or what?
TWRP says my rom is installed correctly but I see nothing in /sdcard folder ...
UPDATE FOR ANYONE WHO IS SEARCHING FOR SOLUTION!
My Sandisk Ultra 32gb card is fine, it wasn't the sd card problem.
One day my friend wanted to check my android version and asked me why I'm running Lollipop, when I'm running Kitkat actually. I figured out that I got two android systems mixed together. Some people say I got two "caches".
To fix the problem simply download the stock rom that originally came with your phone. Go to your custom recovery, delete all data/format reset, make sure all is clean and double check that.
Then install the stock one through odin, turn the phone on and set up the beginner stuff (language, wifi, google account etc.).
//my phone asked me whether I want to update or not and actually I did the update but it shouldn't apply some magical stuff to my tutorial
Then root your device, flash custom recovery and you're good to go
Came across the official build for Paranoid Android

Have not installed or tested it yet as I'm posting this as of downloading.
Files for z5 family are up as well.
Running smoothly no app crashes or reboots. Twrp working fine.
Camera is not up to par but hopefully Sony gets this sorted in the next few months (only thing holding custom ROMs back)

How about sdcard?
Yeah single sim here, SD card is working fine but it needs formatted to work. You have the options to use internally or portable.

I tried it for a little time without wifi and network and it seemed a little warm on the top as usual. I didn't run any power hungry apps.
@LMcR92 when i receive the call, speaker is very low, do you?
I have tried to flash this numerous times through TWRP. I have done it on a totally clean (wiped) device. It installs, then gets through to the boot animation, after a long hang I get the starting andriod optimizing apps....and then it reboots and goes through the whole thing all over again. Any clues what I'm missing here?
Buggs!

So I've spent a good hour searching these threads, and I still can't clear this up. Some people are saying the Verizon HTC 10 doesn't have band 12 at all. Others are saying it does, you just have to s-off to use it. Will my plan enable full compatibility with T-Mobile?
Here's my game plan:
Buy the HTC 10 on Craigslist
Downgrade if needed
Read this thread and hopefully figure out how to s-off with sunshine
Follow these instructions to change the CID
Download the TMUS firmware from the "No Wipe" category of this list, which I conveniently found on this forum that clearly says no CDMA devices
Leave the radios alone, since the firmware from above already contains the TMUS radios?
Reboot and cross my fingers?
Thanks everyone!
I'd just convert to us unlocked
Convertng to US Unlocked is the way to go. Works on ATT. Should work with T-Mobile

Which RUU did you use? I got mine directly from HTC's website (2.28.617.8) and received error 158. Any tips?
Edit: Also my phone is in the update mode with the picture of the phone and a green circle.... I'm afraid to power off
Also some more info - I was on 1.85.605.9 and downgraded to 1.85.605.8. Then, I used SunShine and got S-off with unlocked bootloader. Next, I tried installing HTC's RUU, which failed.
My plan was to install twrp and supersu after getting the unlocked RUU, but now I'm just stuck.
Thanks in advance

Hey! That's the exact post I was following along! Didn't even make the connection - thanks for your help so far. Anyway, I followed your guide until the part you said to download that RUU. I'm on 1.85.605.8, and the one in your link is 1.80.617.1. I was like...ehh better not downgrade, so I used the one from HTC's website. HTC actually gave me a warning (before it died) and said make sure you're updating to an equal or higher firmware. Should I be concerned about using an older one?
Also, flash twrp and supersu before or after receiving otas?
Again, thanks so much for your help! I'm trying my best to search the forums and not ask redundant questions!

Also, use magisk instead of supersu you will be able to keep safety
Net passing, and snapchat, plus get root and all the goodies. You will need a custom kernel though

I just did a plain ol factory reset, but if that still doesn't work, I'll try twrp. Here's the screenshot about the test device message... you think that has anything to do with it?

Okay so I'm asking cause better safe than sorry. When you say wipe everything... is that the normal data, cahche, and dalvik? Or am I wiping system also cause that's like... woah don't normally touch that lol
System, data, cache, internal SD....basically everything but your external SD. Once wiped, go back to the format data option. Type yes, then reboot to download mode. Run your run from there

So I did that and I got the same error as before (error 158), but this time with the older RUU. No clue what to do now, especially cause I wiped system...

Are you bootloader locked?
Hi All,
I'm basically starting this thread as i have not seen many users of this tablet and my main purposes are:
1) to look for users of the same tablet so we can pool our knowledge together as we go along this somewhat new and rare device
2) i would like to root the device and i haven't seen anyone post any guides yet for this device. FYI, i have already updated to Nougat 7.0 o the device. So far, all the guides i've seen are for Marshmallow.
i hope i can get some members to reply to my thread and, hopefully, have a running thread here in XDA... hoping that in the future we could get someone to develop a new ROM when Samsung decides to stop send OTA updates.
+1 here!
I've seen people already rooting it, but as I google for its root method, there are websites I just can't trust or see the positive results, or a few posts with "thanks, it worked".
If at least they could share to us where did they got the instructions for rooting...

Hmmm xda have posted how to root it.
A few paragraphs further on the first post of this topic there's a procedure for rooting.

Blank screen in Recovery Mode while trying to root SM-P585Y
I'm a little disheartened to see so few subscribers to this thread but here goes:
I'm trying to root my SM-P585Y using Odin and flashing TWRP recovery. Everything's fine until the step where I have to boot from Download Mode into Recovery Mode. Instead of going into the normal recovery screen, my screen just goes blank occasionally displaying a few random lines or vibrating when I push random buttons trying to get some sort of response. I can get it back into Download Mode by pressing "Volume Down + Power + Home" but that's about it. I've essentially lost Recovery Mode, and a regular reboot from Download Mode by pressing Volume Down just takes me back to the blank screen with random lines.
Any ideas on what to do?

The TWRP device tree of P585Y is from MM. If your tablet is android 8.1, it'll cause error. Just flash stock rom or stock recovery to fix it. If you want to root, just use magisk.

Extract boot.img from stock rom file. Just use Magisk manager app to patch the boot.img. Then rename generated file to boot.img and compress it to tar file. Finally flash the file with odin in AP.

Hi guys.
I'm trying to update the android from the P585.
I already tried to install the T585/T580 ROMs, but it doesn't work.
I think it's because of the model, because it has a slightly different name ( gtaxllte Vs gtanotexllte )
Information about P585.
Device Name: gtanotextllte
Device: Model SM-P585M
Device CPU: arm64-v8a,armeabi-v7a,armeabi
I looked a lot on the internet for a ROM for the P585, but I couldn't find it.
Does anyone here already found ROM for P585?

Hey guys, may i ask? Is there a custom rom for samsung [SM-P585Y]?
How do you shut down a P585 using the physical keys?
I searched the web and got results for using the soft button and bixby.
I want to shutdown using the keys because I can't access the soft button.
