Hey guys, so I tried searching for the same problem as I have and quite didn't find anything in similar. So here's a quick summary.
On vacation and phone fell on a puddle of salt water, charging port first. Was able to pick it up and it was still good; on, ringing, notifications. Then the phone had run out of battery and wasn't able to charge as it shorted my charging port. A week later, I was able to find similar charging port and had replaced it. After replacing the charging port the phone can charge, but can't seem to connect to T mobile network anymore. Have tried:
1. Sim card work on different phones.
2. Dialing *#06# - shows my IMEI
3. Dialing *#1234# - "Not registered on network"
4. Automatically and Manually connecting to T mobile network.
I no longer have the old charging port. And reconnected everything in place, port cables and antenna. If anyone could help me it would be great.
Suggest you ask in the forum for your model.

I have note 2
Had dust in my camera lens. So took it to the service center.
They changed the camera module. But now I have network issue.
My phone shows no network coverage.
Tried different sim cards...but no network
Put my sim card in different phone and it was working fine....
So problem is not with the sim card......
So is it that service center guy has messed up some network hardware. ...?????
Are you using a GV sim or something? because maybe they removed it while fixing your Note 2
If you have a custom recovery, such as cwm or twrp, try wiping cache & dalvik and fix permissions.
It's possible they didn't reconnect one of the ribbon cables that connect the simcard or modem. Try looking for a note 2 tear down, they also usually show tips on reassembling. Take it apart and make sure all the connections are right.
If you don't feel up to it, return it again for repair?
maybe you should change the OS ?
I spent like 40 minutes on the phone last night with Verizon techs and got nowhere.
I upgraded to note 3 from the Thunderbolt and am having shoddy signal issues.
The major one is at my job where it's a 1 story warehouse and my office is literally 14ft from the door outside. I used to have no issues with signal on 3g or 4g with my tbolt or any previous phones and with my note 3 I cannot even make a phone call go through - it will show dialing and then after 10 or so seconds just quit. 4g either shows 2 bars or sometimes will go circle with a line through it for no service. Sometimes the internet works other times it does not.
I've also had issues driving home in which I will not receive a phone call and a voicemail will pop up or the person I'm talking to will say the phone is cutting out.
Any advice?
Current signal strength in my office is
-116dBm 24 asu
Was
-111dBm 23 asu last night.
Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
That is some fairly poor signal. You should check your thunderbolt and see how it does in the same location. The radios in the thunderbolt are solid. It is worth trying a new Note3 if the thunderbolt performs better. If more than one Note3 performs poorly, then there is a good chance that the antenna or radio implementation in the Note3 is not as robust as the thunderbolt.

I have terrible reception compared to note 2 it sucks

After going to one of my regular lunch spots and not being able to make/receive a phone call at all I threw in the towel and a verizon tech has a new gn3 on the way. I've seen a couple other threads here and there noting the same issues I have. Some of them said they were told by verizon that switching the phone is not going to help. We'll see.
One other odd note which I see no one talking about -
When I plug my gn3 into my computer it just charges.
Whether its usb3 or usb2 - there is no way to access or transfer any files - no popups saying device connected. Just charges the phone quietly.
I've tried installing and re-installing samsung drivers, also tried that kies program, no dice.

Having the same issue with my note 3. Seems to have gotten slightly better the past few days, but still poor compared to my note 2. Thinking about taking it back to Verizon this week. Anyone know how the return/exchange process works? If I exchange it and still have problems then what are my options? Or if I return it do I get my upgrade back? Can I then repurchase it and have another 14 days to test and potentially return it?

Did you go into Settings > developer options and check USB debugging?
I hate that I have such a cryptic title. So the USB 3.0 port broke... the center tab on the USB 2.0 side broke. SO I took the phone to a well-reviewed repair company and they replaced the port. Phone worked for awhile then by the time I got home I noticed the sound was crackly out the speaker, and I wasn't getting data in or out from either the carrier or my wifi router. Then I noticed I wasn't able to send or receive calls.
So I drove back to the repair shop. They said the replacement port module must be defective, and ordered another one that should be in tomorrow. They reinstalled my broken one in the meantime and I rigged the OEM charge cable up so it charges.
BUT.... now it can make and receive calls, BUT:
- The call logs show no calls since this all happened this afternoon. Even though I've made calls.
- I can send texts to people but they don't show up in the conversations. But I receive texts from people that I can view, but when I go back, those aren't showing up, either.
- I still can't connect to the internet, via the carrier or my wifi router (although it says it's connected to the router).
THIS SUCKS. I am supposed to move out of state in a week's time! I started out with a broken USB 3 port but the phone itself worked perfectly. Now I have my broken port back in and a lot of critical functions don't work right or at all!
Please, anyone who can give some thoughts on this, HELP!!!

Hi,
After upgrading my Oneplus Two from cm13 to cm14.1 (nighlty 20161116) my SIM worked and I could connect to GSM, LTE, etc. But after a few days it stopped working. I can still search for networks and I find the one I need. APN settings are correct and IMEI is correctly displayed in the settings. But there's no connection (no bars).
I'm out of ideas. Does anyone have a clue how to find out if my phone is the problem or CM14?
Did you make a clean flash?

Yes.
I made it to actually connect to the network again. But it seems that no traffic is going through. Sadly this only lasted for a couple of minutes. Now I can't connect again.
I'm facing a similar issue: data connections only work correctly when I use the primary SIM. Using the secondary SIM, I get slow Edge connections only.
Turns out I accidentally broke the antenna cable when I replaced my battery. I bought a new one and now it works again. So false alarm.
I was using my Galaxy S5 on Ting, then the charging port went bad. A buddy's buddy fixed it. It was factory reset because someone else was going to use it, and they broke the SIM card when they tried to take it out.
They decided not to buy it, so I tried re-activating it on Ting with a new SIM card (from Ting). It wouldn't activate. For what it's worth, there were zero bars of signal, even when I walked outside (and we get perfectly good signal inside our house).
Ting sent me a 2nd SIM; same result.
My questions are:
1) When my "buddy" fixed it, could he have damaged something (antenna?) that is preventing the S5 from communicating with the towers?
2) If so, how easy/difficult would this be to troubleshoot/diagnose/fix? I am an advanced beginner when it comes to electronics repair.
Thanks.
