Heavy draining of battery - Galaxy S3 Neo Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm having a big annoying problem on my Neo. The screen drains a lot my battery.
In attachment you'll find some screenshots that show what I'm writing.

As you note I need an urgent help about that because now I can't have a call neither for 10secs!!![emoji32] and the pjone restarts.
About 1 month ago I fixed this problem (but it was not to heavy like now) with clear cache and data in Messenger app because it drained a lot battery.
But now I have the same problem anyway.
I also tried to unistall Messenger app but I didn't fix it.
Now In this case the screen drains a lot battery and the phone restarts often and warms a lot.
How can I fix it?
P.s.: if you are wondering for the autonomy hrs you consider that the phone works with a large battery with about 7000Mha by Anker manufacturer.

Try checking my thread about battery life. And btw, are you using a custom kernel? We need more information to be able to help you...

Try flashinf stock firmware using ODIN and it might solve your problem. Try that and then give some feedback

Hello,
You need to uninstall Facebook app, use the website instead because facebook is the most popular battery drainer and the messenger aswell... dont use the 2nd app on the screenshot "Chiamate Vocali" and reduce your screen brightness, idk how advanced you are but you can change your kernel or use a battery saver app!
Have a good day!

Thank you my friend!!
"Chiamate vocali" are phone calls I can't suggest to avoid those..
I've read around and I found some discussions about this issue.
It seems that the better way should be kernel and rom replacing.
I found that replacing rom to another with a strange name I don't remember the issue should have been fixed.
Anyway this will be the second option after Facebook uninstall..

I have been using JS5 since it's release(8th). The Gallery has been fine for me. As for the JPA wifi fix, I have tried with and without the fix. Both have given good batteries. Really not seen a difference. I get 16+ hours out of the battery. Don't expect too much better.
Only problems I have had with JS5 is the occasional dropped incoming call. Does not happen with stock phone.apk. I believe there is a fix for this.
I have been running my own custom but may try this one. Looks clean.
Swedish
Am I the only one seeing many things in this rom in Swedish/German (I can't really tell which it is)? I didn't see that mentioned anywhere by the OP. It sucks, as I think I'm really gonna like this rom, but not if I can't read a whole bunch of it.
EDIT: OK, I'm a male donkey. Two seconds after posting, I found that the locale was set to Netherlands. Switched to US English, all is well.

Hey buddy!! I am running v1.3, can i directly flash v2.1 over the existing? is the battery life similar to 1.3? coz i had great battery life and great gps on v1.3. Thanks a lot for the gingery rom.
Exellent battery life ? give me some information, please !
battery life was awesome.. flashed it yesterday night. Was 100 % at 10.40 am, and after heavy daily usage of browsing for an hour in total, music for 4 hrs, a few vids, and market activity and 2 hrs of calling... phone completely turned off at 12 am. So i guess it was around 14 hrs approx of heavy usage... and i did use live wallpapers for 5 hrs.
wow, I'll try this ROm now, battery life so good ! ( sorry for my English )
i did wipe my battery stats after flashing this rom and calibrated my battery again to be on a safe side. Maybe you can give a thought to it also

[TEST] KH1 Users with System Power Saving On - AOS BUG /RUNNING SERVICES

Hi Guys
Just a test if it works and would like your feedback
Those on the new XXKH1 firmware could you try this if possible
Menu>settings>power saving> and click on system power saving and/or use power saving mode
and see if it increases your battery life as opposed to not using them.
I just wanna find out if it works..
EDIT : Also wanna find out if there is any relation with AOS BUG and Running services
UPDATE: 8 Hours sleep time screen shots
Android Usage in 8 hours night time almost 20% drain

Do you guys see any pattern in this? with regards to AOS bug and the Battery DRAIN?
Wonder if its anything to do with the running processes?
Also clicking the system power saving makes my phone lag
will update later with full usage
Do you think it works differently than on earlier ROMs?
Yrs, there's now 2 power saving options - system and custom. System is new

I dislike how there is a notification on the top. Should be an option to remove it. Then I would consider using it. =__="

Same for me, I hate things sitting in my notification bar needlessly.
That's what killed it for me as well first time I turned it on months ago. So the new option shows notification as well?

Ok updated some screen shots of 8 hours sleep time while doing nothing on the phone lets see how the day goes
but it sure lags my phone
Sat in work with the new firmware on and this power thing turned on, it is laggy as hell so i wouldnt use the phone in this mode, but while i am working and have my phone on my desk i thought id give it a test.
i dont have any apps on as it was a clean instal i also dont have any accounts set up for emails ect and have noticed every now and again my screen is lighting up, noticed it twice in the last half hour for what reason i have no idea.
System Power Saving:
-underclocked cpu
-lower brightness
-laggy phone
Let's of is really DOES improve battery live...

Ok I have come to the conclusion :
That it dosen't really make much difference to battery life on a whole as such
and on Top of it , It makes your phone lag so bad its a shame.
So am back to unticking them two silly boxes
I have been turning it on when i know im not using my phone for a long time, such as sleeping and in work. And i have seen an improvement. If it is the feature or just a really good firmware i cant tell. I am sitting at 15hrs on with 68% battery remaining. Screen on time is ~1hr45min. Its the best stock i have used thats for sure.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA App
8 hours 20% drain is kind of too much don't you think? normally my phone is less than 10% for 8 hours
KH1 system power saving limits dual core max clock, adjust brightness and recude UIO rendering speed. Third option is really annoying becuse UI animation is not smooth.

Battery life on MIUI - Post your experience

I am getting about 3 - 4 days of average usage out of a 100 % charge, running MIUI 1.8.19. I will continue to update this thread with confirmed findings of MIUI users posted here. Other than that, happy flashing!
People experiencing battery drain issues please post the following:
Your running kernel ([email protected] if you didn't flash anything on top)
CPU spy screenshot of a drain (from 100 % to like 20%, you can get CPU spy from market)
Screenshot of stats from the battery monitor in settings
Did you perform a battery recalibration after flash? (Charging the phone to 100 % in off mode, then boot)
My recommendations on increasing battery life:
Keep data on off whenever you don't use it. WiFi does not seem to have battery drain issues, use that instead if you are at home.
Disable albumart and lyrics download in music player, when you dont use it.
The media server can go crazy on battery drain - Even if you don't listen that much to music.
Use another launcher than the standard one. Sometimes in rare occations (happened for me twice though) the launcher keeps the phone out of deep sleep. I have had good results with Go Launcher.

Easy Alternative,
Download Battery Calibration from the market (Free) and install
Do a continuous charge the phone from AC charger recommended instead PC USB to 100% while its on
Follow instruction of the application and rate it well before uninstalling (the app creator made our life easy for free)

You are in the wrong forum, this is the SGSII forum.
But to help you anyway: Using 2G instead of 3G helps alot on the SGS1.

[Q] how to get longer battery life...

I got a second hand note 4 with Lollipop I have downgrade to kitkat and I think battery life is mutch bettar but...Without root,so just keeaping the varranty how I can extend battery life (any application do u think/suggest) will work?Or maybe do u know another firmware with kitkat that it seames the battery life is longer?
Thank's
Helen
@helen2
Try Greenify &/or Deep Sleep Battery Saver. Both are very effective especially for non-root.
With DS, in settings, stop the battery notifications and uncheck feedback.

I think is normal .Yersterday I was giving a quick look to both program they work fine but the stop to many things when the handy ist with screen off (example the 3g will be switched olso off) I think u neade to set a personal profil so u can chouse with application can run and with not (as a black and White list) ..I think the robem of battery s maybe the only real big problem of the handy
Take care
Helen
The best advice I can give with regards to getting the best battery life for your Note 4 would be to turn off all the features that you aren't always using like Wi-Fi , Bluetooth, NFC, 2/3/4G data connectivity and GPS on your Note 4. and turn them on when you are going to use them. That way your battery will last your allot longer.
I suggest use hibernation manager and e root booster, they help to save battery life.

Just my two cents worth but I was getting terrible battery life out of my 910F. Mine is not rooted but I disabled a lot of services, put it in battery saving mode, automatic birghtness etc; in short all of the standard things you can do that are built into the device. I didn't get any improvement. I even turned off wifi etc., whereas normally i have everything on, including bluetooth, maximum brightness (when screen is on), data, sync, all of them 24 hrs a day. Then I flashed N910FXXU1BOE2 (the french rom) and although the rom is not the fastest I've tried (of standard sammy roms) it works fine and gives me fantastic battery life. At night very little drain, and as I said, everything stays on with me. I usually get two days of moderate use. You could try it.

Facebook is the worst battery drain of any app I've ever seen, worse than play services. Just use the web for facebook.

Samsung S7 Edge battery drain issue (Oreo 8.0)

Hello guys, I have an annoying battery drain issue on my Galaxy S7 Edge. I searched the forum, installed many custom roms, the battery life improved so much but then I realized the issue with degarded camera quality on custom roms (Floyd Q Rom). I flashed back the official stock rom to my device.
I also use Sony Xperia XZ2, which has the greatest battery life I have ever experienced on any android device.
Is there anyway I can solve this issue, I am on flight mode all the time just to preserve the battery level and connect to internet for a few minutes to check emails only. Kindly refer to the attached image (screenshot) and help me out. Thanks in advance.

Use an app like Wakelock Detector to know which apps are sucking the battery since boot.
