Data Factory Reset on OnePlus 2 through pc (cmd) and fastboot - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys ,
Today I rooted my OPT with WinDroid Toolkit / OnePlus 2 ToolBox and after installing TWRP I installed the last OxygenOS 3.0 (yeah I know , I didn't to do it but I wanted to install cm13 and after a quick check I was convinced that OxygenOS is better .)
I installed the latest OxygenOS and gapps , removed dalvik cache and rebooted my phone .
After about 2 hours of loading (I see the OnePlus logo and "powered by android" under it) I saw that nothing happens .
I couldn't load my recovery and I can only open fastboot .
I know that it was stupid , trust me , but is there any way to factory reset my OPT through fastboot and pc ?
Thanks a lot ! have an awesome day !

You're device should reboot by itself in TWRP.
Now, flash CM 13 Official, GAPPS, etc, etc.
Voila, you don't wipe your device .

First of all , thanks a lot for the fast reply, I do really appreciate it .
Any way , my phone doesn't go to TWRP. When I finished installing the TWRP it just turned off and when I try to move to TWRP (lock key + volume down) it doesn't work, the phone just try to reboot to the android system and if I press them too long it shuts off again .
Do you know how can I do all that process through the command ?

P9-lite bricked. Please help!!

SOLVED!
Hi all i just bricked my phone : P9-lite VNS-L31
I managed to unlock bootloader, install twrp and get root permission. Phone worked great. Then i tried to flash xposed and the operation fails due to not enough memory space (!! i have 6gb) and get stuck in bootloop. I made all the possible things i knowed. Tried to use xposed-unistaller.zip (getting other errors like: "no such file o direcory") , wipe cache, dalvik and data and i try also to reflash stock recovery, and to relock bootloader (i can't do that.. why? i get FAILED <remote: command not allowed>) because erecovery and HiSuite can't restore my phone. What can i do?? It's a simple bootloop but i cant restore it. Please help me i have just bought the phone and now i'm very desperate.
I really hope some can help,
Thank you
Can you flash the stock rom through SD card?
Copy the stock rom file to this path: sd card\dload\UPDATE.APP,
Then, presss Volume + , Volume -, and the power keys to force upgrade your phone.
Hi, i solved my problem flashing system.img extracted by an official firmware. Everything ok. If someone need it i can write a little guide now to restore bricked p9-lite with custom recovery and unlocked bootloader (the normal procedure does not work)

So, i think i can help you to fix your phone.
First of all you need fastboot. So check fastboot drivers on your pc and make sure they work
Now download the stock firmware for VNS-L31 here : http://www.androidvillaz.com/2016/0...vns-l31-to-marshmallow-6.0-b100-firmware.html - It's the only version ready to download and an asian version but flashing only system you'll not notice it. All languages available, no differences at all.
Download and install this tool : http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3262545
So using something like 7zip extract the UPDATE.APP file in your desktop for example.
Launch HuaweiUpdateExtractor and select the update.app.
You need to extract SYSTEM.IMG so right click on it and select extract selected.
Now, turn your p9lite in fastboot mode (power off, press vol - and power) and connect it to your pc.
Now launch this : "fastboot flash system "PATH/system.img" " . Remember to replace "PATH/system.img" with the path of your extracted system.img file including the name of the file.
Wait about 3 minutes.
When flash finalize, boot in recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik and reboot your smartphone. It should boot now.
If not, perform a full wipe. (cache, dalvik and data).
Hope this can help.

with pressing volume - and power i enter into erecovery from there i should use fastboot to flash system.img ? sorry for being dum
edit: when in erecovery (volume- and power) typing fastboot flash system with full path , does nothing .. only saying waiting for device
edit2: no matter what i do , i cant fastboot flash system .. waiting for device .. only thing i can do is enter TWRP (also got root) , enter Erecovery and thats it .. phone only boots to huawei animation along wiht sound and thats it .. i tried adb sideload from TWRP but no help also .. guess there is nothing i can do right ?
Edit3: so i booted via TWRP to bootloader , used that fastboot command , flashed system , wiped cache , and now it is looking that phone is booting up !
thanks bro , any way i can pay you back ? cus you da MVP here !
EDIT4: well phone booted , rebooted , and now i cant enter recovery it boots into erecovery and i cant do nothing else
EDIT5: got into fastboot menu in phone , it says update system again , Error Func NO : 10 (boot image) Error NO : 2 (load failed)
EDIT6: somehow made it into fastboot , somehow flashed recovery , managed to restore my phone from back up , but sadly enough i cant restore it via google , since when i try to log in it says waiting .. dam this phone . i had galaxy S .. got this huawei just for pokemon go (which is pretty ****ty without gyro) FML right
EDIT7: lost most of my hairs .. some of them were ripped out in some anger explosions .. chewed of some of my nails .. but somehow i made it ! now if i only could unroot and relock bootloader xD think im gonna take a break for now and when my nerves will calm down i may try it again . Rly wanna thank you from all of my heart for help , thanks !! your the best man , thanks again
Sorry, can you normally boot and use your phone now?
Edit: It seems you can boot. Now you have restored your twrp recovery. I don't know why you have problems with google log in, but hey now it boots!

Hi, if you don't know what is fastboot maybe you can approach it the easy way.
Download and install this for the correct drivers : http://consumer.huawei.com/minisite/HiSuite_en/index.html
Download and extract to a folder this : https://mega.nz/#!B4tATA5D!-TseQ9A-TPEQhzNQRXsT_cV2i4T7qYYLadceW0fM8k0
Put your phone in fastboot mode : Turn it off. Connect it to your pc . Long press vol - and power until it boots in fastboot mode (white screen with a green android and other stuff). If you want you can boot in fastboot from TWRP recovery : restart -> bootloader.
Copy your extracted SYSTEM.IMG in the root path of the tool (we can assume its name is system.img).
Now launch the tool and press 000 and enter.
If you have done all right now you can give this : fastboot flash system system.img
Wait about 3 minutes. Perform a cache and dalvik cache wipe. Boot your phone.

Hi,
I am using the standard P9, and getting the Boot Loop also.
I attempted your instructions, and appeared to work - I got the first EMUI initialization screen - and now its gone back to how it was.
Any suggestions?
I think it should work on every phone assuming you are using the right firmware. Do you use the right firmware for the huawei P9 ?? (needless to say it's not the version i posted)).
So if you flashed the right firmware (and i'm pretty sure of this) my advice is to perform a full wipe : Cache, dalvik and data.
If you are still facing the same error consider flashing other frimware parts like boot.img ecc.
I believe so - I am pretty clueless with this stuff.
By firmware, do you mean the stock version? Because I used P9-EVAL09-EVA-B136. Don't suppose you would know the right firmware I require?
I think it's the right version. I am a p9lite user so i don't know specifically the right version of the firmware but i think it's ok. Do you tried a full wipe?

I do yes
So, go in twrp recovery (turn off phone, long press vol up and power for at least 3 seconds). When you are in you will see 'WIPE' press it then do the swipe to Factory Reset. You will lost your installed apps and the relative settings but you will not lost your personal stuff such photo, music documents ecc. Let me know if you perform it and if it works =)
It appears that TWRP no longer appears. I get thr EMUI options to wipe data/factory reset. But once I do this I just get a red exclamation mark.
Does the phone need to be plugged in via USB?

Please help me fix my recovery

Ok I kind of messed up my phone. I have been using a June version of cyanogenmod all summer with no problems. I finally decided to update it to the latest version but had troubles. After researching I decided to flash back to stock Oxygen before trying again. I flashed Oxygen and forgot to wipe cache. It booted fine, but now I can't swipe down on the notification bar. I can't enable usb debugging. Also when I plug into usb it I can't enable transfer or connect to adb. Also stock recovery and fastboot won't load so I can't even do a factory reset. I'm stuck.
I was able to get back to 4.2.1 oxygen but still not able to update. I either get a Status 7 or it won't boot no matter what I do. Currently have the most up to date twrp installed if it helps.
So i guess you still have your Custom recovery in your phone?! Simply Clean everything (System, Data, cache, davlik chace) and flash the Stock or Custom Rom and dont add any Mods right after installing Rom and Gapps in 1st boot.

The only recovery that would boot was twrp 3.0.2. If I load any other rom exept oxygen 2.2.1-2 It will not bot. It just hangs at the oneplus logo boot screen.

is it Hybrid Recovery?
Since you're already on the new bootloader due to the OxygenOS 3 update, all you should need to do is to reboot and hold volume down to enter fastboot/bootloader and then flash the newer 3.0.2-x twrp using fastboot flash recovery twrpimagefile.img, then reboot into twrp using volume up as normal and format caches and data partitions as needed to get a bugfree cm13.

Don't panic ill guide you.
1-First of all make sure your boot loader is unlocked. (Go in fastboot mode and Open CMD and type 'fastboot oem unlock' if it says okay, you're good to go.
2-Download https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347799752
3-Then after downloading that file, turn off your phone. Press the Volume+ button atleast for 10 seconds then attach your USB plug in it.
4-Open 'MSM8994DownloadTool' in save brick folder and run it as Administrator
5-Just press the start button and after some time it should boot you in TWRP 2.7.8.0
6-After you're successfully booted in your custom recovery just flash this one: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24566466246344728 (This is Hybrid TWRP Recovery, Best recovery so far)
-After you flash the Hybrid Recovery, just flash whatever custom you like too.
(NOTE: You might see Green bars going when you click the Start option during process of 5 in the application)

One more thing i forgot to tell you is that, before you do that 'Start' process just install this drivers https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347799753
Too install this driver.. Press volume+ button for 10 seconds plug in USB, Go in your Device manager (via control panel or just use the search option).
Select 'Android Device' or something like that may appear. click on the update drivers and select from driver folder x86 if your Pc cpu is 32bit or either select x64 if your pc is 64bit.
If it shows you Encountered problem something like this, just disable the disable Driver enforcment signature by pressing your windows start button and hold **** button in your keyboard around 2 seconds while keep your mouse on restart option and just click on it. It should boot you in windows recovery, go in advance option and (i dont remember properly) but choose the option below CMD one. you should see many options.. like Anti malware, safe boot with net work, you should also see disable driver enforcemnt option.

After successfully flashing image, write 'fastboot oem reboot-recovery'. Your device will boot into a black screen, now double press the power button, swipe to unlock. You will have to flash magisk zip(use adb sideload or flash from sd card) to prevent system from replacing TWRP.
Remember that you'll have to format your device once to be able to access internal storage so that you can restore backups

Is this working now?

X2Pro - C.29 Stock to LOS with Magisk

Firstly, I would like to thank @karthick mostwanted for his work and a thumbs up for keeping Lineage OS updated.
I have an Indian Unit of X2 Pro with 128 Gigs of RAM and I got the ROM working with FP and the payment apps at once. Everything works good here. Only thing which I did not like is the camera, so I'm using PixelPlus GCAM on this ROM.
Coming to the steps (assuming ADB & Fastboot drivers installed) -
1. Unlock the Bootloader. For the same Install the In Depth Test app (pm if you do not get the links for the app on Google) and apply. After a successful review message on the app, use the following commands.
adb reboot bootloader (For reboot into fastboot mode)
fastboot flashing unlock
Select the confirmation dialog on the screen and its done. Then type fastboot reboot for the phone OS to boot. It will erase all your data too.
2. Next step is to install TWRP img file by Mauronofrio (Google it). Download vbmeta.img also, you will get in LOS thread downloads section. Copy the recovery file and vbmeta into the ADB folder where the powershell/cmd is running so the you can fetch it. Reboot into the fastboot mode and give the following command.
fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename.img
DO NOT REBOOT YET. Immediately type fastboot flash --disable-verification vbmeta vbmeta.img and enter. Don't reboot, with help of Volume and power button combination, boot directly into recovery. Remember, do not reboot phone in any other mode or even the present OS because it will wipe the recovery installed.
3. Format Data. (Don't Wipe, Use FORMAT DATA Option). Wipe Cache & Dalvik.
4. Keep the Files in a USB Storage such as Lineage OS, Magisk 20.3, Open Gapps Nano ARM 64.
5. Insert the USB drive through an OTG and go to TWRP mount option and mount external storage. It will start showing files. Now go to install and select OS. Wait, don't run now. Add Gapps to the same queue and then run.
6. After successful installation, wipe cache and dalvik and reboot your phone.
7. After you setup everything, again boot into TWRP recovery and install magisk 20.3.
You are done and all set !
Note - Do not remove/uninstall system apps using root access in LOS, it may break. Happened with me when I tried to uninstall DuckDuckGo, it went into bootloops.
Will be happy to answer any doubts for this installation. Comment below if you need further help !

Here is a quick how-to guide to flash LineageOS 19.0 to the A51
Disclaimer: I am not the maintainer of any of the files I link to here. I just wanted to share my experience to make the process of Flashing los19 to the a51 easier for others.
Prerequisites:
1. Unlocked Bootloader
This step is crucial. You need to unlock the bootloader of the A51 before trying any of this. If not, you are likely to brick your device.1.1. Unlock developer mode by standard procedure: Settings > Info > Tab 7 times on build number1.2. Enable USB debugging in Developer Options1.3. Enable OEM unlocking in Developer Options -> To see OEM unlock option I needed to connect to my WIFI, then set the phone date manually to March 7th 2019. Only then the OEM unlock option became visible in Developer Options. Yes, this is super dumb and inconvenient...1.4 After triggering OEM unlock option shutdown your phone.1.5 Enter Download mode by: Pressing Volume+ and Volume - while at the same time plugging in the USB cable that is already in your PC.1.6. To finally unlock bootloader, you will see a green screen on which you need to press Vol + for some time. THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY. It will also erase all data on your phone!1.7 After reboot repeat steps 1.1. - 1.5. again. This time you can actually enter download mode by pressing Vol + shortly on the green screen.
2. Flash Twrp
You can now flash TWRP via Odin. The TWRP img I used is here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/0h14t0263oujhna/TWRP-11-3.6.1-a51-20220321-1406-hotfix.tar/file. I flashed it as AP. Make sure to uncheck Auto reboot before flashing. When flashing is complete hold Vol - and Power until reboot.Immediately when rebooting hold Vol + and Power until Samsung logo appears, then let Power go but hold Vol + to enter TWRP.
3. Actual Flashing:
3.1. Necessary Files:Make sure to load all files necessary to your SD before flashing:ChonDoe_Flasher, Disable_Dm_Verity, Multidisabler, LOS-Imagefile, Magisk(optional)As for the LOS Image I used this file here, which already includes gapps:lineage-19.0-20220211-UNOFFICIAL-treble_arm64_bgS-vndklite.imgIf you don't want gapps pick an image that says "BvS" instead of "bgs"3.2. You need to move your LOS-Image to the same folder as ChonDoe_Flasher and rename the file to "system.img"
3.3 Flashing Sequence:
In TWRP Follow this sequence:
3.3.1. Wipe data, dalvik, cache3.3.2. flash disable_dm_verity3.3.3. flash multidisabler3.3.4. Wipe internal storage (Backup might be advisable, if you didn't format data anyways)3.3.5. reboot recovery3.3.6. flash chondone with lineage-19.0-20220211-UNOFFICIAL-treble_arm64_bgS-vndklite.img in the same folder renamed to system.mg3.3.7. Wipe data3.3.8. Reboot
That should be it. First startup takes some time, your phone should boot to LOS 19.
4. Anger Management
If you softbrick your device you can try to go back to stock rom by accessing download mode and flashing it via Odin. Will take some fiddling around with the button combinations.
If you hardbrick your device don't hold me responsible and good luck to you!
Thanks to
Kyau Sana, Vadim Kupriyanov, Knoyan GTR-X and Sara Lins and other, from the telegram-group, who helped me figure out the process.

Lineage 19 flash worked but after flashing my TWRP recovery bootloops (flashing twrp logo).
TWRP that loops is twrp-a51-3.5.0_10-1_ianmacd.
Do you have a working TWRP for this version of Lineage ?
Tried TWRP v3.6.1 A51 tree but it doesn't work and boots into download mode with "DT Entry not found / DT Load Failed / VB Meta sign errors"

Nope TWRP does not work. When using the one you linked (as all other 3.6.1 ones) it just jumps back to download mode with DT Entry not found & VBMeta not signed errors.
ALL sensors ok ?
Fingerprint ok ? In this ROM

Sorry to hear mate. Unfortunately I cannot hell you solve this issue. There is a telegram channel for custom roms on the A51 with many motivated people. One of them might have the answer you need!
See: https://t.me/samsunga51
If you find it, please post it, so others can profit from it. With your agreement I would also like to add info about the solution - should you find it - to my initial post.

Don't know about fingerprint as I do not want to provide biometric data to my phone. Maybe someone else using the ROM can answer this; Or you, if you decide to flash it post your results.
Apart from that I have not had any problems with the ROM apart from the following:
-The resulotion of the native lineage camera app is not satisfactory. When I find an app that works better, I'll let you know.
- Restarting the phone after empty battery requires a soft reset sometimes (power+vol -)
-> A solution to this problem might be given in this post. Will try it later.
Thank you, @DerTopher , but unfortunately the link to your LOS file does not work any more. How do I get the file now?
THIS GUIDE ONLY WORKS ON ANDROID 12!!!

I have concluded all my experiments, and now I can confirm that the "twrp-a51-3.5.0_10-1_ianmacd.tar" on this website only works for Android 10 as instructed by Admin. This does not for Android 11. For Android 11 you have to flash a different file called "Twrp+vbmeta_A11.tar". Details are given in the following link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-sm-a515f-one-ui-3-0-dub1-android-11.4231543/
