Is there any way we can insert a dual sim tray into the T-mobile version (935T) and make the two sims work using a mod? Appears the design for the dual sim tray and sim+sd card tray look similar.
Nope

Nope. Even if there is hardware, you don't have the 2nd imei number. So 2nd sim will become unusable.

Hi all,
Just wondering has anybody come into this issue before?
For some reason, when i use my Vodafone Sim card it gives me the LTE option.
However when I insert another sim card (e.g. my optus or telstra) it removes the LTE option.
Is there such a thing as 4G Sim?
Yes LTE enabled sims

No, it's not sim related, it's contract related. You have to ask to your carrier to enable LTE, and it will probably have a cost.

The SIM card may be locked to the device it was activated on. I suggest going to a T-Mobile store to see if they can help.

i tried 3 sim card ... DId they lock all the sim cards?? .. thanks for the suggest i will go to t mobile today
It is likely that they lock the cards to the device that the card is activated with. It seems like it is the only possible reason that you can't use T-Mobile cards.

I went to t-mobile. They tried another sim car and the phones was the same no sim... the said that the problem was with the phone cuz the sim cards are news and working on other phones... i dont know why the problem is only with t-mobile sim cards.. they say that if the phone was from t-mobile they could change me for another phone but it is at&t.... do u you think that it will be any problem if i go to at&t and tell the that my phone is unlocked but it doesnt read t-mobiles' sim cards

They could help. Might as well try. It is a very weird situation. If other SIM cards are working with it, it shouldn't be the phone...

Yes the problem is only with t-mobile... but i will take the phone to at&t tomorrow

Is it possible that you didn't unlock all the bands on your device? There is a tutorial around here somewhere that shows how to unlock all the bands for use with absolutely any carrier. From my understanding it is different then just unlocking with a code.

Yes but it should said invalid sim car or ask me for that code when i insert t-mobile sim card... but the phones says no sim.. it doesnt even read the sim.... and when u unlock with a code i think is like factory unlock cuz my father unlock his phone with a code and his phone works fine

Can I use the sim card from my S3 in my S5 or is it better to use the sim card the S5 came with. Any benefits / drawbacks one way or the other?
(On AT&T)
Thanks
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747
Yeah, both are Micro SIMs you'll be able to just swap it over.
Thanks! That's what I figured. In the end, I had to call AT&T anyways to activate it, because I couldn't find the activation code in any of their emails, and they went with the "It's recommended to use the SIM card it came with" canned response, so I used it. That and I was talking to them with my old phone.

I got my phone yesterday, it is dual sim but i ordered the single sim.. my question is
Performance wise, are the two equal? Or are there any downsides using dual sim?

They should be identical, i'd keep the dual sim for obvious reasons.

If you're a traveler or business, dual sim is the way to go. Not much use if you only use one sim.
Dual SIM ? Where did you buy it and where are you using it? What networks have you tried?
Got here in Thailand..

The second slot that you're seeing is for sd card, that also works as the second sim card.

Hello guys, have a happy Christmas. Does anyone of you tried using forced lte mode apps on dual sim variant of s7 edge G935FD ? I just come across an issue that i can only force lte mode on sim 1 alot , but cannot do forced lte on sim 2 slot. I was using this app called "4g switcher", it opens some hidden android menu like this, but i can only do forced lte on sim 1 but not on sim 2, reason is that 4g signal are low and it constantly changes to hspa so i want to lock it down to 4g. Even tried disabling sim 1, still cannot force sim 2 to lte only.
Any idea guys ?

So anyone can provide insight why i cannot lock on lte only on sim 2 through this hidden menu ?
Sent from my S7 Edge using XDA Labs
So no one can give me any hint ? Is it impossible to force lte only on sim 2 ? Even after disabling sim 1 ?

Exactly.. some say rooting will help.. can't confirm

I think when you root you can do it over the service menu *#0011#
Off course in Europe all the secret codes are locked without root.
In servicemode first you can choose stack 1 or 2 which is Sim1 or 2. But couldn't go further without root. So only way will be root and servicemode or some special band selection code für the duos versions. Just wondering no one has info about that. This should be defenitly in some custom rom!

Yeah, but can't confirm as not even rooted users have posted about this nor any custom rom users. I think 2nd sim 3g and 4g manual selection option is not there in the firmware..
