I'm just wondering, if anyone has issues with a dead sim card during use of android?
Not sure if it's that my sim card just went bad or if it was from using android.
If anyone is in the same boat let me know, I know for sure my sim card is bad because I'm using a backup that works fine.

no issues with my sim, this sim has gone with me through all my android devices.
if you are with tmous, it's free, just go to the store and do a swap

Had no need for it???? If your on Verizon the phone is NOT going to work without it... If you bought it to use the Sim card slot then why not just buy an actual gsm version

I think he meant he was using the old sim from his old phone not the new one

i used a knife as well lol, needed the number off it to get the new sim activated on it.
I used tweezers to remove it from the phone
Yeah you def need that card if you're on Verizon. I was having problems because I took my sim out of my note 2 and put it in my 3 and it wasn't working until 30 mins later I figured it out. As soon as you pick up or purchase the phone it auto stops your last sim.

I have been using the sim card from my Verizon Galaxy nexus with no issues so far.

Mine came with a sim removal tool or some such.
Yes, mine came with a SIM preinstalled. This phone is an absolute pain to remove the SIM from.
I used a small flathead screwdriver to remove it.
Tweezers.

I just used the point of a knife to gently push down on the card and slid it out.
Guys can anyone confirm if the phone is unlocked?
I'm traveling soon to the caribbean and need it unlocked and UMTS 900 to use 3g.

I used the sim from my Note 2. Kept my unlimited data. Tossed the pre-installed one out.

I ordered mine from a local store and they needed your account to pre order. So as soon as they scanned it as picked up it was activated because I had no signal on my note 2. That's how I figured out was preactivated from the store

You guys realize there's a SIM card removal tool in the box, right?
Granted, I couldn't figure out how to use the damned thing for a while. Ended up figuring it out though and using my old SIM.

That is not correct. I'm using the same SIM in my Note 3 that I used in my S4, Note 2, and GNex. The beauty of SIM swapping is awesome for phone addicts.

Made sure my finger was dry then kept sliding my finger across the card really fast to create friction then it slid right out.

Can I use the sim card from my S3 in my S5 or is it better to use the sim card the S5 came with. Any benefits / drawbacks one way or the other?
(On AT&T)
Thanks
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747
Yeah, both are Micro SIMs you'll be able to just swap it over.
Thanks! That's what I figured. In the end, I had to call AT&T anyways to activate it, because I couldn't find the activation code in any of their emails, and they went with the "It's recommended to use the SIM card it came with" canned response, so I used it. That and I was talking to them with my old phone.

Is there any way we can insert a dual sim tray into the T-mobile version (935T) and make the two sims work using a mod? Appears the design for the dual sim tray and sim+sd card tray look similar.
Nope
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
Nope. Even if there is hardware, you don't have the 2nd imei number. So 2nd sim will become unusable.

Hi All
I am getting strange mount/dismount messages from my G6 with my SS card. For no reason the phone suddenly flashes up 'dismount SD card before removing' but the card is still mounted and can be accessed. Also sometimes it disappears altogether and only a restart of the phone brings it back. I am in UK on EE Network and current firmware is V20r-234-30 July 1st security patch.
Anyone else having this problem/error?
Did you try a different card?
Have already tried. Current card Samsung 128gb have also tried with 64gb card and same thing happens.
