Hello guys, I'm looking for an s7 edge rom which is very close to stock apart from it has been debloated and the warning for loud headphones is gone? Any suggestions? I've debranded my phone but there is still so much google and other garbage on there that I want to get rid of. Maybe something similar to xtresolite as that was what I needed for my s6!?

Not sure if this is in the right section. I used a non lte S4 and there was obviously a lot less custom roms available then for the lte model. I am now using the S5. I see there is a couple of custom roms for the SM-G900F, but there is currently no custom roms for the SM-G900H or am I looking in the wrong section when I look here..http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development, if not, is somebody busy with a custom rom for the SM-G900H? There are very talented guys designing roms on here and I hope they make their way to the SM-G900H side.

as there are more countries adopting LTE, there are less markets adopting the exynos version of the GS5. therefore less developers. Hopefully developers even those from LTE-running countries make rome for the exynos version. :fingers-crossed:

Nah, really I feel that nowadays if you root and use xposed you will find almost all the things you used to look for in a rom.
And you can debloat yourself using Titanium Backup or greenify donate.
That's at least in my case, there's even an xposed module to remove the s connect shortcut in the notification bar, the only modification I did directly on the apk.
So for now, there's not a huge need for a custom rom, 98% of the tuneup scripts are bs. And most tweaks are already in wanam xposed or app settings.
i dont think that we have hope..:/

Yea not into trusting that thread either lol. I am rooted and use wannam and to be honest i am quite happy with it so far. I also use the phone for lots of training, so I use Endomondo sports tracker and the heart rate ANT etc and the battery life is phenominal. I am not sure I would want to run a custom rom that is going to have bugs etc. I stock standard with a few speed tweaks and debloated might do the trick but I guess we will have to wait and see if anyone has the guts to build for this model ??

Sorry bro, can't read your post, the text it's too small.
After having rooted for weeks and used greenify, titanium backup and xposed framework I still don't see any need of a custom rom (same experience I had with my Nexus 5 - stock rooted with franco).
Custom kernel is a different story, just changing a couple of things makes a good difference in standby consumption (sec-battery-monitor, wlan_rx_wake and l2_hsic wakelocks).

Where at all is Andreilinux? He is the one who did it for the s4 octa, so whats special for the s5 version that hardly anybody shows any interest in it?
I want to ask that I am very much interested in making a custom rom for this device. But the problem is that I have no past experience.. So how tough a job it is, to make a rom for exynos devices if I haven't made any rom in the past?

The problem is not that its hard to make a rom for exynos or anything special about s5.... I guess its that hardly anyone and no devs have the device. Supporting and building for a device that you dont own is just not sensible.

Hey guys, I recently rooted my galaxy s5 model SM-G900H and it is still running the stock rom.
I tried using my Allshare cast wireless dongle and when it connects after a second it disconnects and the phone says
hardware problem. Any way to work around this? I downloaded triangle away and my flash counter is at 3. I tried resetting the flash counter but it is not working. Any help will really be appreciated as I am in Africa and I really need the screen mirroring to implement some community projects. Thank you all

I want to know how often you flash a new ROM on your device and what you enjoy flashing on your Note 4. What are you trying to finally get at by flashing all these ROMs.
I'll go first:
Started with CM12
Went to Firekat
Then to TEKHD
Then to Resurrection Remix
Bliss Pop
Galaxy Note5 Ports! (Kyubi, Maya's ROM, Dr. Ketans Note5 Ports, etc. Tried them all.)
I've also done Poprocks!
I'm trying to find an as speedy TouchWiz ROM that doesn't look ugly and isn't too slow and is packed with features.
Stock. Nothing beats stock.

..ohh yeah. I totally agree.
my problem is, the white theme of samsung ui, hurts my eyes so bad
I flash between TEK, EXPRESS and OVERDRIVE. My wife thinks I am nuts every time I "re-do my phone" as she calls it.
I clean flash every time TEKHD gets an update. That is at least once every month.

Dang, so is it really just temporary? I went away for a while came back to see any updates and it was closed. Also just in case it is not a temporary thing. Can I dirty flash other rom on top on TekHD's? If I can't, do I need to wipe my external SD card? Just some questions I have on my mind before I proceed to other rom.
But such a stable and good rom Tekhd developed. Sad to see it stopped.
Clean flash anytime you switch Roms no need to wipe ex sd card why would you do that??

Can't set time. Force closes

I can't set my time because the setting force closes. Just replaced my screen and my date and time were wrong and I could set the date but if I press time it force closes. Anyone?

i used the custom rom that makes your S5 to a "S7". it was nice but i want to go back to the S5 stock rom. i have downloaded the right version G900W and used Odin to flash it. it worked like a charm and passed. when i reset it it's stuck at the Samsung with the blue flying dots and the led is a solid blue. i did a battery pull and powered on and it's still doing the same thing.
any ideas?

Hi guys. Some minor assistance in deciding.
According to your opinion/experience what would be the best s8 port rom to install to my s7 edge ?
I see too many of them and I cannot decide. Ambasadii, sac24, batman, project dream, minotaurus, aurora etc.
I would like the rom to be the closest to stock as possible (i don't really care about a ton of extra features), stable, bug free, and I would like the performance and battery life to be close to stock (or better if possible).
Also, do any of these s8 port roms update via OTA or would I have to check daily teh XDA site, and then download and flash myself the new updated rom every time?
Any comments/suggestions/tips would be appreciated.

ambassadi one is great too never had a issue untill v6.0 after that i just went back to batman rom. so i am not aware about the 7.0 version
i don't why but i always come to batman rom.
currently i am on batman 1.5 haven't had any sort issues. no battery drainage nothing

Sorry but i just installed this rom 2 days ago.
So i believe software won't be optimized for an exact info.
But in v1.4 i used to get around 5 hours of SOT which is more than enough for me.
anyone else can that can answer the question???

NO the ota function was removed in i guess v1.3 so no OTA
