When I try to flash CM13, twrp says ''Updater process ended with ERROR: 7 Error installing zip file '/sdcard/cm-13.0-20160603-UNOFFICIAL-oneplus2.zip'''
Before that I had my phone encrypted and was unable to mount any partition in recovery, so I installing stock OOS over the fastboot. The install failed(bootloop), but I was able to flash TWRP the same way and recovered OOS. Now it gives the error above. Any thoughts?
Make sure you're using the right firmware with the different roms.

Update firmware and recovery

Hi guys, so I recently tried to install a ROM (Bliss) and well TWRP gave me an error saying 'error executing updater binary in zip'. I could not install any other ROM via recovery neither. Google was telling me that other people (on different phones) and they had reflashed their primary ROM and then flashed their new ROM straight after but I have no way to flash something via TWRP at all, so I thought there are two fixes: first, try and install stock ROM via Odin, or change my recovery. Luckily, I found CWM Recovery and my life was saved. Yep!
So I am running TWRP 2.8.6.1 (I think that's my problem) and no matter what I do (I have tried flashing via adb, adb sideload fails, regular flashing, etc...) it won't flash anything besides different bootstacks and the new lollipop rom (and if i flash that then i get the error that system cant be mounted in twrp and that error lingers until i do some weird stuff) i am using the d801. it just gives me an error E:Error executing updater binary in zip So prettymuch i cant flash anything...
Or can anybody tell me how i can downgrade my recovery? Do you think it would be safe to use flashfire?
Trying to Twrp GApps.
mount -o bind 'data/media' ' /sdcard' process ended with signal: 11
Updater process ended with signal: 11
Error installing zip file '/external_sd/open_gappss-arm-7.1-stock-20170311.zip
I didnt have any problems flashing files until i flashed MIUI 8, which didnt work. I then wiped the usual folders and flashed lineage-14.1 ok but not GApps. Hence the error.:crying:
I'm now back on a Stock rom.
Any idea how to fix?
Use another version of twrp. 3.0.3-n2 by shreps and 3.1 by oadam11 works fine. (search them)
Ok, I'll take a look. I was using twrp-3.1.0-athene_shreps.img. Also twrp not sticking to recovery either.

If by twrp isn't sticking you mean the stock recovery keeps loading, reboot into recovery after you've flashed twrp, else the stock recovery will overwrite the custom recovery. After that, twrp should stick around.
I'm a relative beginner to flashing and rooting I used the ZTE axon 7 toolkit and now my phone is stuck in the boot animation. I can get into TWRP but when I flash the LineageOS zip in TWRP I get the following in red: Updater Process ended with Error: 7 Error Installing zip file '/external_sd/lineage-14.1-20170605-nightly-axon7-signed.zip' Updating Partition details....
....done Not sure what I'm doing wrong any help appreciated.
Did you fully wipe system before installing lineage? Did you make a back up of stock before installing in TWRP? Did you make sure your specific model is supported for that particular ROM?
Bad download?
Install Nougat bootloader.
I installed Nougat and tried to flash it using TWRP it installed successfully but when I turn the phone on I see this error image imgur.DOTcom/a/1EljH I can't insert links because I'm under 10 posts it seems)
How could I flash a stock rom if the recovery is now stock?
Hi guys, I have a Nexus 6P, and I'm stuck with a problem.
I have twrp 3.40-0 recovery and I from it when I try to start the ADB sideload it doesen't start and in the top menu there is a red text with "Failed" in the console there isn't any error. I've tried re-flashing the twrp recovery and even using the version before but the sideload won't start.
The other problem is: I uploaded to my phone a Havoc ROM, Gsuit and Magisk, so from the recovery I install the Havoc ROM and then I try to install the Gsuit and Magisk but it gives me updater error (Error is: "Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error insaling zip file '/data/media..") .
I've tried reloading the file onto the phone (enabling the debug mode in the new os) but again when I try to install them from the recovery the same error shows up again.
What can I do? (Magisk worked because before flashing the new ROM I have installed it and it worked)
Thanks for your help

hmm reflash bootloader, radio and vendor then re flash twrp as well wipe your data Wipe> Format data type Yes
Reboot to recovery then follow these steps:
Flash rom and gapps
Wipe > Format data > Yes
Reboot recovery
Flash magisk
Reboot system
Edit: Mine method doesn't need side loading, also u can check your drivers.

After I flash Havoc and Gsuit, and format data, when I try to flash Magisk it gives me updater error: 1 (even if I try to delete magisk from file manager of twrp)
EDIT: I was able to flash Magisk after checking system in Mount
