I have a Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F) running CyanogenMod 13.0 nightlies but still on baseband G900FDXU1ANE2 which I believe is the original Lollipop one. I'm having a ton of issues with bluetooth/signal and battery so want to flash the latest marshmallow baseband/radio but the only download I've been able to find is the 1.4gb one which I think is the entire firmware. Anyone got a link to just the flashable baseband?

Hello,
Yes it is possible to downgrade from an official Molitor to an official kitkat (the latest).
I do it, when the flash is end and the mobile show the logo Samsung
You can put out the battery, reboot to the recovery and wipe all user data.
Before do that save all your data.
It's an official administrator from Samsung who say me do so.
Hope that can help you.

Isn't the bootloader required to flash the ROM?
I'm very afraid of trying stock lollipop. I was on Temasek's CM12 build but I had abysmal batterylife. This was probably not attributed to Temasek's build but rather to CM12 as a whole, so I went back to my nandroid containing Crash Rom V19 on kitkat 4.4.2 and I literally have less than 1% drain per hour with the phone idle. I love this batterylife, and I feel I'd like to try and see if stock lollipop TW will give me the same but I would like the option to go back to kitkat if it's worse. I like lollipop a lot but the promise of batterylife seems to hit and miss, makes me stay on kitkat.
I know Crash Rom has a lollipop version, but beside this, which ROM is the MOST stock with the least amount of modifications?
Hi,
Currently my baseband version is N9005XXUDMJ4. Do I need to update (modem etc.) for Android 5.1? I want to use Temasek's unofficial build. If yes, where can I get an up-to-date version that I can flash with Odin?
BTW: This is an Austrian phone.
Update to a lollipop based baseband is the best way for zero issues in future. Yes you can flash by odin, but if your system and bootloader is kitkat. Why not flash a comlete Firmware? Thats the best way..... there are lots of links @ " general" forum .called how to..... blabla lollipop und so weiter.
Thanks, found a link for updating modem and bootloader, but decided to download the full firmware from sammobile. I'll flash a custom rom immediately thereafter, though.
I am currently running a Verizon Note 3 rooted and unlocked with TWRP recovery. I was looking into installing a 6.0.1 TW based rom but have a few questions first.
The current android version I am running is stock 5.0 with N900VVRUEOF1 baseband and am using Cricket Wireless as my carrier.
I was looking at the Arayamod rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-aryamod-v1-3-tw-lollipop-5-1-1-t3326976
which recommends the LSS Kernel and a verizon CSC.. Since I am not using Verizon do I need the CSC part of the install or can I just download the Kernel and flash using TWRP after the rom is installed?
The other rom that I was contemplating is the Darklord S7 rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-note-3/general/darklord-s7-edge-note-5-port-6-0-t3361117
The second option here seems like everything is included.
If anyone has any other suggestions or even good kernels for use with the stock 5.0 OS I am all ears.
Many thanks in advance,
DJ

Hello everyone,
Sorry if i'm opening this thread to wrong place.
I did a few search in this forum but i couldn't find anything for Lineage OS rom for SGH-I337M (Rogers)
Is Lineage OS (Formerly known as CyanogenMod) even supported on SGH-I337M model? Cannot find any build for "jfltecan". I just don't want to flash wrong rom and end up bricking the phone. Also can I flash "jflteatt" or "jfltexx" Lineage OS rom to my "jfltecan"? Beside Lineage OS ROM, is there any good rom based on Android 7.1.1/7.1.2 that can be used with this phone?
Here are the information's of my phone:
Samsung S4 Rogers
Moel: SGH-I337M
Android 5.0.1
Basband: I337MVLUGOH1
Any help would be appreciated.
You can flash twrp for the i9505 and then flash roms for the jfltexx.

Bro, are you sure that i can flash the i9505 into i337M? See the following post:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2264885
I've done it on my i337m. It was a while ago but it worked. The thread you linked appears to be talking about a stock 9505 ROM on a i337m.
You can use twrp for i337m and edit the updater script in the 9505 ROM to include the jfltecan.

Can i flash the following LineageOS 7.1.2?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...p/jdcteam-optimized-cyanogenmod-14-0-t3479888
PHP:
I have downloaded the "Optimized-LineageOS-14.1-20170507-Stable3.zip" and verified that the jfltecan already exist in the Optimized-LineageOS-14.1-20170507-Stable3\META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script so i guess i don't have to modify anything. Can you please confirm.
No need to change anything since the Canadian s4 is included in the updater script.
Using jfltexx TWRP on SGH-I337M
Dear ixdadev,
I have the same Samsung device from FIDO in Canada.
I have flashed the jfltexx version of the TWRP recovery on my SGH-I337M device without a single problem.
Then I flashed the Lineage OS 14.1 (jfltexx version) onto the device without single problem.
I have also tried on the jfltecan version of TWRP on the same device but it then rejected to install the Lineage OS 14.1 (jfltexx version) or Resurrection Remix (jfltexx version). I believe the Recovery needs to match with the OS that you are going to install onto it.
Hope this help and sooth your concerns.
Regards,
Alan

does it work to downgrade the stock firmware directly from marshmallow to kitkat using odin on SM-G900F ? or should i downgrade it first to lollipop and then to kitkat ? i heard there is some "trouble" with the last 6.0.1 firmware version that prevents you to downgrade to kitkat anymore.
i want to downgrade it bechause as far i've heard the kitkat stock rom had the best possible battery life on this device.
and from where can i get the official download links for odin and samsung usb drivers for galaxy S5, since google search is full of bait links with malware...

Your best bet is to post this question within the following thread.

Good Luck!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I DO NOT PROVIDE SUPPORT VIA PM UNLESS ASKED/REQUESTED BY MYSELF.
PLEASE KEEP IT IN THE THREADS WHERE EVERYONE CAN SHARE
yes you can do that, there is no order o respect
you can install any version you would like even if it sa downgrade
as longer you gonna do it with odin correctly, there s nothing to worry abt
PS : only an advice, if you are looking for good battery life + performance and new UI and all, i strongly suggest a CUSTOM ROM such as NEMESIS REBORN is perfect
Good luck
