Maybe you don't have to buy screen, just digitizer. It's not complicate to change by yourself. It's only 4 dots ironing. I have change it for 2790b, and it's working like charm.

Sorry to hear that, but how do you expect us to help? develop a software to repair a broken lcd? You'll have to buy a new lcd screen and follow this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=407323 or have it repaired in a shop.

I have followed the method 'insert plastic sheet between processor and steel plate' for my phone automatically off. unfortunately white screen appears when switched on.soft & hard reset tried but nothing.please help!!!!!Thanks

listen what happend to ur gene,so ur not able 2 interact thru LCD....?
yeah i cant interact with the LCD means i cant use the touchscreen features but i can read messages and receive calls....... the keypad and the LCD is still working but not the touchscreen....(atLAST! someone is willing to help....!)
did ur gene droped any where,or any incident with LCD....if so then plz let me know......coz there is a thin layer of plastic in between one liquid is there.....if this is damaged no 1 will help u & any circuitary damage also cause 2 failure of LCD screen......if ur gene is under warrenty plz change it for free.....
try to get to the settings and reset your device...
If it still doesn´t work... your touchscreen is broken and you will have to change it
I had same problem. For me there was a piece of dirt between the screen and the cover which was causing the screen to be pressed. I removed the cover and cleaned the dirt from around the frame and the screen is now working. Hope this helps
i didn't drop my gene......... and how could i clean the digitizer of it?
i am arun from india... i have htc gene for around 6month for the past 2 days. displays gets sme random pattern. like light red strips alover my mobile if i press near the keypad pattern changes.. i m annoyed by this.. i want my baby to be gud as back... thank youuuuu
You should try to check the LCD display connector, may be the pin damaged or dirty

Im sick of this problem, my G2 just smashed into the floor so LCD was broken I ask for a replacement (D802-20 pins), so I get it and when I have changed it, the touchscreen is working but nothing show up on the LCD screen, so I thought it was a bad replacement, ask for a refund and order new one from other seller.
The new lcd+screen+frame arrives today, changed it and... the same result! blank screen, the backlight is working but all black, touchscreen works too... Please guys someone knows why is happening this???
