To be sure, this will not wipe the internal storage?
Android file host link, please?

Sorry. I have no AFH account.

I think it would be easier if people are made aware that they can just download the tar straight from samsung's servers themselves. No need to reupload what is available using the SamFirm program found HERE
Just remember to always check the box to automatically decrypt the file before you download it. It saves time. Read the instructions in the OP and give him a thanks.

Video maker

It uses 39 percent of my battery and I never opened the program since I bought the phone. What can I do about it?

Or just use Delta Backup or one of the many software titles available to freeze applications.
Can anybody upload the video maker apk and odex files for me?

10.1 root

place the zip on your external sd card flash the recovery with odin then boot into cwm and flash the root zip, recovery looks funky with double images but it does work. btw credit goes to xoom and nycbjr this is their root for the tab2,7

Works for me, thanks
Can you give some other info on your installation, any side affects after install. Anything not working. Any app conflicts. Any tips would be helpful.
How about some screen shots.

Flashed an unsigned recovery the manual way

Welp, within hours of gaining root, I did something stupid:
Code:
dd if=openrecovery-klte-2.7.0.0.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery
It worked, but now I've got AT&T's friendly, "we hate you" message and I can't boot:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
How do I unscrew this up? Will an Odin back to stock save me here?
Going forward, how do I bypass this nonsense? I'm on klteatt, basically the AT&T variant of the Galaxy S5.
Do I need to migrate this to Q/A? If so, how can I do that? Not sure.
Have you tried using Samsung Kies to recover your phone?

I was able to install my recovery with the original Samsung recovery, wrapping it in a tar archive, appending the md5sum to the end of the file, and flashing with Odin. I'm all good now. Migrating further discussion to the other thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53487095

Pi-Hole setup on Android | DNS block everything

Hello,
Currently I'm using my Galaxy S7 edge (rooted) like a router. Now I am looking for a way to block everything ad related on this network.
- websites
- YouTube
- apps
Also social media and search engine ads are unwelcome.
Is this possible and if yes, how?
Thanks
