Make sure you're using SuperSu Beta (2.65+) link. CM13 has a built in root manager (developer options) though, installing supersu is not required. Have you tried accessing recovery using the hardware keys? here's how to

Hello I need help about an Android app called "AutoRec". I have rooted my LG G2 D802 4.4.2 with IOroot but I did not get SU app so I downloaded one from google play called "SuperSU" and I have checked and it says my device is rooted properly. I wanted to do a EFS Backup just in case so I started searching how to flash a custom recovery image. Luckily I found AutoRec and done it as instructed. But when I enter recovery mode from my phone it shows the standard stock LG recovery instead of TWRP 2.7. But after using the app again and tapping go to recovery from the AutoRec app after finishing I could use TWRP but once rebooted, it does not enter TWRP again when I try to enter to recovery mod, instead it shows the stock recovery. Can any of you help me please? Thank you.

reboot
Could use some help/advice.
I restored the kdz using the lg flashtool to jellybean. I didn't update directly kitkat. Instead, I used towelroot to root, then I used autorec to install twrp 2.7.0.0 (or whatever it was). I then flashed twrp 2.8.5.1 and I flashed CM12. CM12 doesn't boot at all.--stuck at LG logo. If I try to use download mode to reflash kdz, it doesn't detect the phone. I can access phone in TWRP via ADB. and it detects it. Is there a way to restore the download mode to detect the phone.? I think this mess happened b/c I didn't update to kitkat and the partitions didn't get updated, but I'm not sure.
Any advice to either get download mode working again from within TWRP, or get CM12 working would be appreciated.
Thank You

You need to install the kk bootstack for your device and wipe data.

Hi,
I have rooted G2 802 International version, with stock ROM V30B.
Now I try to install TWRP there.
Tried multiple image versions, including from TWRP download site,
last one from here http://techerrata.com/file/twrp2/g2d802/openrecovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-d802.zip
Installed through adb shell,
Code:
dd if=/data/local/tmp/recovery.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery
When I try to enter recovery mode I get a brief "Critical Error" message (in text mode), then promp to choose whether to reboot or enter download mode. No TWRP.
Any ideas ?
You're on LP bootloader which does not allow you boot custom kernel (locked bootloader). Downgrade to KitKat bootloader, custom recoveries and kernels are BUMPED (signed), and KK bootloader thinking these images are official, will pass it to boot.
Use AutoRec for LP from Google Play, it will do everything by one click. Because after flashing KK bootloader, official kernel of Lollipop cannot be booted too as i remember. Anyway AutoRec app will downgrade bootloader, flashes recovery TWRP and modded official kernel image, so will do everything you need.
AutoRec, you had one job...

AutoRec seems not to work. I installed the VS980 version for the Verizon variant of the phone, but all the app has is a picture of lollipops. Tapping the one at the bottom restores my (corrupted) backup, while tapping the one at the top does absolutely nothing. Any ideas?
UPDATE (8:42PM) -
Figured it out! In the SuperSU app, I disabled "mount namespace separation" and "tapjacking protection" before rebooting and trying AutoRec one more time. This enabled the hidden install button behind the lollipop icon in the app and allowed TWRP to be installed instantly. Hooray!
Hi, I tried to install TWRP using Autorec. But my phone stuck on fastboot mode. although the phone said it is d802 varient after I remove the back it says ls 980. I can run fstboot commands but not adb. Itried 5 different computers with win7/8/10. No good results. worse case is, no download mode at all. So I can not flash the phone. I tried to flash TWRP using fastboot but nothing changed. Can some one please help me
EDIT: This can be marked as resolved -- I used ADB to succesfully send a reboot recovery command to the phone and it worked!
Hope I don't run into any more issues down the road.

Hi guys
In short, my LG D802 International model has lost it's ability to enter DL mode, and the recovery is also missing.
It is now running Stock Lollipop (Custom version) which I installed according to instructions with no problem
However once it was installed I then realized TWRP is no longer accessible. My next step was to then go to the Play Store and download Autorec Lollipop for LG G2 D802
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=b007.autorec2&hl=en
Once that was installed I tried to install the recovery, but the app was unresponsive. The author of the app then mentioned ->If you experience unresponsive button (the button flash doesn´t work) look up this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65698392&postcount=797
I went ahead to uninstall SuperSU using it's full cleanup and remove function. BIIIG mistake!
That's where the problems compounded, because now SuperSU is not even working and won't let me install the SU Binaries, and the app is telling me to search forums for help
Basically: No TWRP -- No Download Mode -- No Root -- Cannot install SuperSU either!
I'm now stuck with a very unstable phone that hangs and crashes every 10 minutes. I have tried to factory reset but to no avail -- I still cannot use SuperSU.
Thanks in advance
Hi guys, I was able to root my G900V, unlock the boot loader into Developer mode, re-write the recovery with TWRP and install AICP custom rom. It was working great, I put Titanium Backup on my phone and it warned of an old version of SU. It recommended I upgrade SuperSU, so I installed the SuperSU app. When it came up of course it detected the same thing (old version of su) and recommended update. I have never used the TWRP/CWM method so again I tried Normal mode. It asked for access and I granted it, spent some time acting like something was happening then failed. I rebooted the phone and tried again -- same thing still failed.
Since I had TWRP installed, I thought I'd give the alternative flash a try. When I chose it, it booted into recovery and flashed a zip file. When it rebooted, it tried to bring up the OS and it hangs at the AICP logo. I can still get into recovery but the OS won't fire up. I'm not sure where to go from here, I think I can start over with ODIN but I'd rather know how to repair this situation (if it's possible) since I started to get the phone set up...
EDIT: By the way, the rom was the AICP Nightly from 12/30 and TWRP of 3.0.2-2.

I downloaded chainfire's latest SuperSU zip file: https://plus.google.com/+Chainfire/posts/WrCvex7KAZR and flashed it in TWRP. Got me rollin' again.
