Sorry to be a noob, I'm trying to find a thread about what are the best things to download and things to do after you are rooted. I am on Pure Nexus. If anyone has any suggestions or could point me to a similar thread I'd appreciate it
Check out Franco Kernel and Franco Kernel Updater, Titanium Backup, Tasker and Adaway to start off.

I was looking into Adaway, I'm not seeing it in the Google Play Store. Where do you get it at?

The Play Store doesn't allow it. There's a dedicated thread for the version found here on XDA, link below. You can download from the first post along with the special zip file to allow it to work with systemless root. Flash the systemless zip first then install Adaway. Be sure to read through the OP and even the wiki to understand how it works. Everything I learned about using it I learned by following that thread. The guys are really helpful in that thread even though I see people asking the same questions over and over again. I suggest spending some time reading through the thread before jumping in. I've had no issues at all with it and it was simple to use once I understood it, and it's not really difficult to understand. Good luck!

The Adaway download is an apk file so just download and open and it will install like normal. The systemless zip should be flashed through TWRP though.

No real breakdown of whats next since thats up to you. May I suggest you go to wiki page for our phone or check any of the stickies in development or general and simply read up on your phone. Many choices for you! Quite a few roms and many more kernels, read up and see which ones you like
since you mentioned it. Flash rom first, Kernel second.
OK so I need to flash s ROM and then kernel. Will this allow me to utilize 4glte when possible? Also can I flash a ROM and kernel from goostore?

no. you need to do some modification first before you can use lte on tmobile or any other company that uses band 4 lte(not very common). look in the lte thread for instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2211618
btw, after reading this, i cant even gingerly call you a developer. first thing that you need to do is start reading up about whats available or even basic procedures. starting a thread asking people where to start will not do you any good.

[REF] "Android for the Nexus 4" 101 & FAQs
From my BLACKED OUT N4
Rookie question, can some one point me to a thread or explain which build numbers play nice with each other and which I should treat as kryptonite? Been reading all night and pretty much confused the hell out of myself. Thanks to whom ever takes the time to hold my hand, lol, I've got the Sprint version and thanks again.

Usually devs put some informations [d802, etc..]
If unsure, asking is the best
But anyway there should be a check in aroma / cwm which will tell if it's ok to flash on your device.

Thanks, just had issues figuring what themes would be ok to coach, tried a couple zip themer ones and no dice. Other I lost the status and softkeys.

I would rather try the ones on this topic: 1
Or for statusbar -> 2
requires xposed + xthemer
Works fine for me.
The flashable ones would require prior nandroid backing up because most replace stuff.
I found this (Framaroot), but it did not work on mine.
Have you tried this method? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957273

During setup, SuperSU was one of the choices, then there was another with a similar name (I forget what the other option was at the moment.)
That is, assuming I understand your question correctly.
2 exploits that were available did not work. There was even some hesitancy to install it in the first place because an alert said Google recommends you don't install this because it contains suspicious code (not in those words, but you know what I mean.) I went ahead with installation because I didn't hear any negative talk about it after a little searching through the internet.
Questions go in the q&a forum, report your own post and ask a moderator to move it.
Instead of taking the chance of bricking your phone, why not follow the routing guide in the sticky thread?

I want to install xposed on the MXP but the only instructions I found here said to download 2 files and flash one of them? Then I went to the Xposed official thread and the instructions there weren't clear as to what files to download/flash. There are so many different files for different versions, etc.
Can somebody just tell me exactly what file(s) to download, and what to flash in TWRP? Thanks!
xposed-v75-sdk22-arm64.zip is the one you flash in twrp.
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
Find the zip that branj mentiined, and install the xposed instller apk first, but do not open or run after installing. Boot to recovery and flash the zip above reboot and open the app.
Just after you flash the ZIP in TWRP it's usually important to wipe the 2 caches, then reboot to system.
You might consider not tinkering with your phone if you can't read around to find out how to install xposed.

Got to start tinkering at some point. Answers like this are a joke. Xposed thread is a joke of redirecting from one thread to another. Just is the case with a lot of threads. There is very basic organizing and search function is a joke. Pulls up so much miss information. The worst of which is the app for devs made by devs which at best takes 2 times or more to open a thread notifications never get sent.
I was having same issue. After running it since day 1 on phone. Now there are issues with updates to certain roms which is acknowledged buy devs.
Sometimes the best answer is NO answer and just move on.
Please feel free to delete moderators.

Not a joke, a legitimate concern. Questions like the OPs are a joke. This information is EVERYWHERE. Do a Google search for "xposed framework lollipop", there is the OPs answer.

Move on. There are issues that people are having using version 75sdk22. If someone asking a harmless question of which you have posted some I am sure. Yeah you can search all you want. You can't find the answer if the answer doesn't exist yet.

I'm having issues finding info as well. Googling keeps wanting to bring up Moto X which gets confusing. Moto X, 2nd Gen, Moto X pure, Moto X Play. Not as simple as having a topic here and being able to address issues directly. I DL'd Xposed installer and there was no selection on it for the new Moto X Pure, so I deleted it and am waiting for clear instructions so I don't F up my new phone.

My points exactly!!! I have read I don't know how many pages and its not ROM specific. This is one of the major issues with android to many different devices to not have issues. Even just a simple revision in hardware between devices cause other issues. It will be figured out soon. Sometimes it installs but sometimes on a clean flash of rom no dice. I got mine to install after dirty flashing semi stock in dev thread over stock. Fingers crossed....
Ok, I DL the xposed zip, the arm64 v one and installed it via TWRP. It did its thing and then I installed the xposed installer and it keeps saying that framework isn't installed?? I just did that with TWRP! What gives?? Also, I used WanamXposed module on my Note 3. This isn't supported on the Moto X Pure? Is this a Sammy module only? I DL the Xposed Gel module for this and have tried a few times now to get the persistent Google white search bar at the top of the home page to disappear to no avail. It appears this isn't working, at all.
---------- Post added at 08:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:21 PM ----------
Hopefully I just got it figured out. There was a outdated Xposed installer and I had to DL the alpha instead and now it's recognizing the framework. We'll see how this goes....

---------- Post added at 08:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:44 PM ----------
Bam, yep that did it! It was the frigging Xposed installer! You have to use the one on the XDA page that you got the zip file for the framework, the alpha installer. If you install any other, it will tell you framework isn't installed and you will not get it working. DL the Alpha and bam, in business.

It adds the People Edge from side of screen like the Note5
Like this
When I try to download it, it down loads an apk. Installer?????
Works really good and very responsive thank you, I think this should be on Themes and apps and some description of this Peopleedge.apk like pictures and if you are the creator so we can ask questions, one more thing the file is so small it can be uploaded directly on xda?
Damn i just bought this in the playstore for .99 cents that sucks. Works great

I think it would be safer to download the app from google Play. at least it can be uninstalled and you know what you are putting on your phone. With such a poor job the OP did with his post, lack of communication to your questions and shady link i would have to pass folks.
Hopefully i will have the N5/S7 port done soon and it will have this and a whole lot more.
