I have a ported Note 5 ROM installed on my SM-900. The S-Pen works fine, but there's no option to transform the handwriting to text and formula in the S-Note. When I select my handwriting using the Lasso tool, I only get 4 options - Properties, Cut, Copy and Delete, but there's no Transform option. How do I get it?

I was thinking it would be nice if there was someway to select text using the keyboard (like on a desktop PC) and lo and behold if you hold the Shift (Caps) key down and use the arrow keys it does select text.
Hurrah!
genius!
There's a great guy, Tom_Hiro255, who made this app http://www.nicque.com/PQz/ that allows you to use shortcuts and all sorts of other functions, check it out.
The post is, I believe, either in Universal or Blue Angel...it works on wm5.
Awsome tip. =)
Perhaps this works for you?
Double tap the SHIFT key on the SIP keyboard
Does not work for every app.
Also found ShiftLock values in two SIP modes.
But I don't think they make a difference.

When I was still using xt9 on my Touch Dual (which was using Touch Input 1.0), there was an option to use a feature called "Next word prediction".
I just noticed recently that this feature was taken out in the Touch HD ROM's (which uses HTC Touch Input 2.0).
Does anyone know why this was taken out, and if there is a way to turn it back on (without having to install a 3rd party keyboard app)?
bumping up this message -- anyone with an answer?
Hi Vince_b
I have a touch HD and this is working on mine.
To check if you have it on yours or to switch it on, open a new text message, open the input method by touching the up arrow and then select the Touch input settings tab. In there make sure "Word completion in T9 Mode" is selected.
When you then type it should show the word completion bar above the keyboard type you are using. I use Finger keyboard2 (do a search on this site) with mine and the word completion switched on...works a treat.
Hope that helps you out

Thanks tims31 for the response. Although, I am referring specifically to the "next word prediction" feature rather than the "word completion" one.
Word completion (suggesting the current word based on what letters are currently typing) works on me, but next word prediction (suggesting the next word after you are done typing your current one) does not...
Sorry about that, mis-understood what you wanted.
Have never seen next word prediction on the HD. Will watch this thread with interest just in case you do find out.
On my HD2 phone I have installed Resco Keyboard (also there was another program but I have uninstalled it) and I don't see (or know) the options menu that it is said to be when you tap the triangle next to the input method indicator. I don't see any Option in the menu to configure the selected text input options ?
Where it is ?
Never mind found it in Settings menus...
So you replaced the default, powerful, HTC onscreen keyboard with a rip-off of the crappy iPhone onscreen keyboard?
The iFanBoyism will never cease to amaze me...
No, I don't like this either, now I just try all the keyboards I can find, until now Finger Keyboard is my preferred

I use two keyboards. Grammarly for writing English and Microsoft swiftkey keyboard for Urdu. In other phones, Samsung Infinix, etc. the current keyboard shortcut is below the keyboard. But I didn't find the shortcut current keyboard change in Poco m3.
How do I solve the current keyboard shortcut problem in Poco m3?
To choose the current keyboard, you can pull down from the top (status bar) to see the notifications, when you start typing, and there is one notification that you can tap to choose the input method.
If you do not see this notification, you need to enable the keyboard in the system settings, go to settings, more settings, language and input method, mange input methods, at there you can enable the other keyboards you installed.
