Try key combination vol up+down + home button + power and release they when the phone viberates
Sent from my LG-P700 using xda app-developers app
Have you tried doing it through the manual method i.e., holding power +vol up + vol down +home button until the phone vibrates them leave the all together.
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda premium
yes, same thing.
did you rooted and unlook the bootloader?
Some details ... ROM version, root, bootloader ...
I also cannot boot to recovery mode. Is there any other way? I cannot flash CM 10 because I can't go cwm
Please help. I am using the version v10k it is rooted. I have ROM Manager, I tried the ADB reboot recovery and the manual cwm volume + - home power. Please help.
Same problem
Have the same issue:
When i boot into recovery, either with volume + - home power buttons pressed or by using the "reboot into recovery" from rom manager i end up in a black screen with only the device keys lighten up. The only way to move further is to remove the battery from the device.
Have:
Recovery: CWM 6.0.2.8
Device: LG-P700
FW: android 4.0.3
Kernel: 3.0.8-perf
BN: IML74K
SW no: V10i
the official rom, rooted with the procedure in t he link bellow, supersu installed. cwm has been granted su access.
The recovery i installed first using the procedure from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2486512 and had the black screen. THen upgraded / reinstalled using rom manager, and have again the same black screen.
Any help would be appreciated
Try to flash cwm again..

Have you installed BOOTLOADER? If you already have then you can do these steps:
1. Remove the battery and wait for a few seconds then put it back.
2. Press Volume Up + Volume Down + Home + Power Button
3. After the phone vibrates just release Power Button only.
4. Wait until CWM screen appears.
If it fails, repeat back from step 1 to 4.
Keep on trying. It works for me.

Hi and thank you for the answer.
I followed the steps from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2486512 "INSTALLING CWM(CLOCKWORK MOD)" section and after rebooting to recovery i got to the recovery options screen. Flash_Bootloader.bat did the work, as you mentioned bootloader.
Thanks for your help!
I'm having the same problem as many guys here (don't know how many have been able to solve it), i.e. after trying to boot into clockworkmod recovery, the result is nothing but a black screen and button lights on. My goal has been to flash CyanogenMod 10 from recovery, yet without success. I've tried booting manually pressing the volume up +, volume -, home, and power buttons, and via both ROM Manager and adb, always ending up with the black screen.
I've also tried to flash CWM several times in ROM manager and in addition to that I've followed the instructions given here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2486512. (Entering the commands in Flash_Bootloader.bat and Flash_Recovery.bat files in terminal.)
I'm using rooted Lg Optimus L7, android 4.0.3, V10k, kernel 3.0.8-perf. CMW version is 6.0.2.8. Computer that I've used in the process is running Ubuntu 14.04 if that matters.
I appreciate any help!

Unfortunately, that does not make any difference. All I get is the flaming black screen.

This happened to me too...it often happened when I was too impatient to wait for the phone to shut down completely so I could enter recovery mode... If you still have a working OS just shut it down and wait for it to be off completely then hold both volume up and down + the home button then power button, when the LG logo appears then disappears release the power button and continue holding both volume up and down+ the home button till in recovery. If that doesn't work try removing the battery, plugin power source when holding both volume up and down buttons + home button (Crude method, but it worked for me).

[Q] VS980 unable to factory reset/ enter recovery mode

Hi guy, need some help with going to recovery mode.
So, I wanted to factory reset the phone(in stock rom with supersu), but when I press it, it couldn't get to the recovery screen. And instead, it's just a dark blank screen, and the phone is still on. I can hold the power button and my phone would restart normally. So, then I tried to flash the lastest CWM to maybe flash to another rom, but when the CWM finished flashing and it couldn't enter the recovery mode, and again stuck on the dark blank screen.
Any help would be appreciated.
Software version: VS98012b
Oh yeah, these messages are from my attempt to flash cwm
adb cannot run as root in production builds
dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/reovery: cannot open for write: permission denied
thanks

[Q] LG Optimus L5 (E612) Master Reset in Safe Mode

This post is related to an earlier post of mine and another one I post on andriod.stackexchange. I need help wiping an LG Optimus L5 (E612) in Safe Mode. The Mobile device constantly reboots and returns to state it was in on December 25.
What I have noticed, however, is that it stabilises when I boot it in Safe Mode (Power -> Volume- & Volume+ keys). I even have full root access when in Safe Mode.
I have tried the following without any success:
'wipe data'; 'wipe all' as root---device returns to previous state after rebooting
Normal factory reset---nothing happens
Factory reset using hardware keys (Power + Volume-)---device reboots after five seconds and returns to previous state
Manual purge of data in Safe Mode---device returns to previous state after rebooting
Someone suggested a KDZ flash; I successfully did this multiple times---device returns to previous state after rebooting
I tried 'adb reboot bootloader' and did a 'fastboot erase'---device reboots after a few seconds
Could it be that my now one+ year-old LG Optimus L5 is dead or is there anything else I can do to save it?

Failure to install Recovery on Galaxy Note 3 SM N-9005 (for Android 5.0 Lollipop OS)

I've upgraded my Note 3 (SM N 9005) to 5.0 Lollipop OS.
Baseband version: N9005XXUGBOJ1
Kernel version : 3.4.0-4540543
Build number : LRX21V.N9005XXUGBOK6
After that I successfully rooted my device and it is working fine.
However I'm not able to install a recovery system on it. (tried both cwm and twrp)
Also my mobile is not booting in Download mode (Volume Down, Home and Power buttons together), instead it is booting normally.
Kindly help me out to install a recovery mode .
Thanks in advance.

Just out of interest, if from shut down status Vol- + Home + Power does not do anything... what about Vol+ + Power + Home for recovery?
Install a reboot manager from the play store that gives you the option to reboot into recovery or download mode. If this doesn't work, try a USB jig.
