It is possible make videlcalls with PDA without front camera like HTC Touch 3G?
I think is only a dialer problem!.. or not?
Any help?
Nobody? Any help?
If there's a way I would love to hear it too. Have a CDMA Diamond, and can think of plenty of situations it'd be useful to make a video call where the other person can see what I'm pointing the camera at, especially if I can combine it with speakerphone.
why don't u guys try qik.com? it offers u the ability to live broadcast a video feed from your camera. and if you are on 3G, u can talk and send video at the same time.

I just installed it and tried it out, but I can't seem to figure out any way to send my video feed directly to another phone? It seems like it automatically puts it online to my qik account, but there's no way to have an interactive conversation with a viewer while it's streaming?

you are right, it just does this. i thought this is what you are looking for. if the other party is on 3G, they can view your feed on the website, just a work around.
I used to have a Hermes, Cingular 8525 variant without the front facing camera. I flashed it with a rom that supports video calling. The result - I can make/receive a video call. I can see the other person I'm talking with, but he can't see me.
Is it possible to record voice during calling. It seems that Atrix 4G does not support this function, when i use API to record from mic,and get nothing. but
when phone is end, there is sound appears. Could anyone explain the reasons?
Thanks
Plenty of threads about this. Not possible because of privacy issues/laws. If you want to record calls, you need to have your phone on speaker and record with another device.

Sgs2 does it out of the box
Edit: I forgot that I never ran stock on my phone, it was included in a ROM. Apparently call recorder works with stock. Should be a way for you Atrix folks.

From what I understand this is a hardware issue implemented by Motorola because of privacy issues/laws at state and federal levels. I don't believe it's as easy as installing any app to enable this feature.
Of course it may be/is possible on other phones, but different manufacturers have different policies regarding items like this, and Motorola takes a hard line on call recording.
Also, many phones don't route the actual call through the OS by design, so an application running in the OS has no access to the voice module.
You can record calls on Google voice, but when you enable this in call the other person is informed by an automated message that call recording has begun.

You haven't mentioned whether you are on a custom ROM or not. If you are, there's a specific procedure you have to follow to implement VoLTE for the time being.
Second, it appears to be a problem with the Jio app. Please ask Jio's customer care for help with that.
Third, I've noticed you've made multiple threads, which is just a put off for anybody to help you. Don't scream for attention — if people can help, they usually will.
I am not in custom rom
This phone problem not app...whenever i try to call with jio4gvoice i reached default dialer
Solution for 4g video call in jio
Follow the steps to use video calls in jio
1.uninstall jio 4g voice if u already installed
2.disable volte in mobile networks
3.install jio 4g from playstore
4.grant all permissions
5.grant draw over apps and change system settings permissions in settings -apps - settings icon in right top ccorner
Working solution
Jio4gvoice app on the playstore is for non VoLTE phones since Moto g4 or g4 is a VoLTE device the jio4gvoice will not be active to make video call or any calls
You can use it for chatting only
However there is a loop hole which is explained in this video
Check it out it worked
I can't post the link coz I am new user
Message me or look for ecloudbuddy channel on YouTube
It holds all the answers

just go to youtube website and after dot com edit it with this, copy from watch ----watch?v=kmI5ytUYREo[/url]
then hit enter (cannot post url since i am posting it for first time) or if you cannot understand the above then goto youtube and type dtechfact and go to the uploads and find video with heading "calling is disabled here as it is available through the phone dialer"
just goto this video and it explains all and do as it says its working. if you liked it do not forget to subscribe. do give it a try you wont regret. trust me.

i would advice you to just start all over again. Follow all these steps in sequence it worked for others and it will for you if you do it right. If you couldnot figure out any steps do comment. 1.uninstall jio4gvoice app.2. go to es file explorer and show the hidden file option then at top right you have a magnifying glass symbol press that and type jio and let it search all name with jio folders.3. delete all folders it showing. 4. if your phone is volte remove the volte option going to setting. 5. install jio4gvoice app again. 6. open it and register your sim. 7. keep your data on and try to place a call and this time it should work. Do let me know if it worked.
Thanks man.... It works.. Thanks a lot...

After the latest update of lenovo zuk z2 plus I am very pleased that video calling option came in contact. Everything thing was fine until last few days when ever I tried to call the call ended. And no incoming in my jio sim. No HD written beside 4G. Any suggestions. Also my notification always says 3 files waiting... Download size required WiFi..
I suggest you to download those waiting files as these are likely to be important files which are yet to be downloaded. Get a wifi from someone using his hotspot and download those files and let them install. Since younhave mentioned everything was working fine untill the uodate so i think this is an update issue and also i could see some files are yet tk be downloaded so i suggest you to go ahead and download them and i hope the problem will be solved. Do.let me know if it helped.
Currently connected to WiFi and now notification says 4 files waiting. And by clicking this notification nothing opens..

It was working fine before the update and after the update i could see that some files are not downloaded or may be the part you downloaded needs improvement and it shows some files to be downloaded. In this case since i don't have your the phone so the best thing I can tell you to do is just BACKUP EVERYTHING AND DO A FACTORY RESET. I am not guaranteeing any result but as you said it was working fine earlier so i suggest you to do that and it will revert back to original position and i think from there it should work. do let me know what happened. Remember to BACKUP or sync contacts, and all media files.
Friends is there any way you could use the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 with viLTE (Video over LTE) or in other words native video calling.
Currently native video calling is not supported in this device and I am having doubts that this feature will never work even after software updates. Embarrassing thoughts.
Waiting for same..any fix will be appreciated.
Hopefully Asus will give this feature in next update, like provided Live wallpaper features.
Earlier it worked temporarily by switching volte on and off. This time its completely removed.
U can make it work if you revert back to version 334, asus blocked it in 337 update.. or maybe spam asus on twitter for enabling it..
I already posted about this issue on asus... And i think they are noob developer who don't know how to fix this bug.. they say that the feature is not supported by the phone you have to use third party apps.
Hello to everyone,
I hope someone could help me, i need to record any phone call that i make/receive, the phone should record the call without messages to the caller about the phone call is recorded.
Did someone can tell me how can i do this? i have seen that one option is to root the device but if someone have other suggestion is better for me than root the device.
I have also tried this app: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...cord-phone-calls-from-the-phone-line.1441643/ but use the microphone so sometimes there are very noise.
Bye

Yes. I am in the same situation. The only things I can think of are, 1. A call recorder app. or, 2. Using a different dialer, say from a Oneplus phone. But I'm still looking into it. I have been using a call recorder app that seems to work somewhat okay but not that great.
I Hope Simeone could help US..
I have also seen that changing the phone app Is not the solution because some apps uses CSC

That's good to know because I was going to try it. The thing is, depending on what version you have, call recording is built in. So that tells me that all variants could have it built in maybe ? Not sure but I am continuing to do research when I have the time.
Yes, I think that every android phone have this functionality, the problem is that phone app use CSC to enable o not, this is what I have understand

I know that on some newer OnePlus phones you can change the dialer to get call recording. I would think that the Nothing Phone would be similar but at this point I'm totally unsure.

I tried to install it already but it won't install. Says phone needs to be rooted. But now that I'm thinking about it, I did install that app on a non rooted oneplus 7t before. Just have to give it permission via ADB. I think i might try it again and see if I can get it to install..
Correction. I tried to install just the joneplustools. This one is different.

Not really. I do have two apps installed that are recording calls pretty good ! One of them I installed from Google play called Call recorder. And the other one is one that I came across in one of the posts for the Nothing phone. I have both running at the same time and both are recording calls pretty good. However, I would rather have the inbuilt option.
I'm from Italy and have Nothing Phone for a couple of weeks now so I may be missing something.
I've tried ACR, a well thought app for call recording, but unfortunately it doesn't record bluetooth calls (earphone or car's) so as a couple of other apps. I guess it's a problem that every third party app is having, given Google policy.
So, I'm using the Google phone app call recording utility (upper right corder three dots > settings > call recording). This option has popped out the first time I put in the sim card. I suppose everyone can access this option but with Google you never know...
This makes available a button on the phone screen, a switch between call recording and not recording. Actually, it's only manageable when the call is started and it's available switching in the second screen of the app.
Overall it works pretty well, even on Bluetooth calls. The calls are accessible via the call log history and can de saved. The only drawdown is that you have to put a meaningful name to the file when saving it.
What drives me CRAZY is that it doesn't have the option to ALWAYS record the calls. Apparently, it's an available option (Google has a help page dedicated: https://support.google.com/phoneapp/answer/9803950?hl=en) but not for the Italian version. Or at least for my version
Does anyone know if and how I can make it a permanent choice? I don't want to manually switch it every time...
Any help is very appreciated

Going to try MacroCroid anyway, hopefully it's a little bit less complicate
