Net Counter

hi, not sure if this has been mentioned here before, but as netcounter doesn't seem to differentiate between WiFi and 3g data on HTC desire, is there another application I can use instead?

3g watchdog?
+1 for this
I've seen 3g watchdog but it doesn't show WiFi, only 3g. I was after something that would monitor both.

network monitor? shows both wifi and network data usage separately
And the same with NetTraffic, shows both network and Wifi usage.
NetSentry
Does exactly what you need and you can set a limit so you don't exceed your data usage.
i use data counter widget. seems to be very good.

Wi-Fi turning on by itself after turning it off, over and over

Seriously frustrating.
I read somewhere that it is the connection optimizer but I cannot find it for the life of me, it's been weeks now.
Yes it's been updated. No I'm not rooted yet.

I have seen this behavior too. At first I thought it was my Droid Automation triggering incorrectly, but I disabled that and I still had the Wi-Fi turn on.

Could be some app you gave permission to

is it turning on Wi-Fi or is it Wi-Fi scanning? On your gps settings, Wi-Fi scanning is turned on by default under improve accuracy. Try that

Did you guys try checking the T-Mobile app? I think it's the network connection manager or something like that.
My girlfriend had that on her S6. I disabled all of that for her (she isn't rooted though) and she hasn't had a problem since.
On the other hand, I've never experienced the issue for some reason.

update from blackberry?

have a att model with T-Mobile sim, so i never got any updates because att are a*****
today i got an update that seems to patch most of quadrooter. 1.8gb
Is this from att? blackberry? T-Mobile?
and why now? did anyone succeed on rooting with those local exploits?

interesting. i installed it because i know i will never exit quadroter and because i wanted the better camera with manual controls...
now my phone boots with the tmobile logo

It's directly from Blackberry.. Thank God! Apparently they will be handling all of us whose only error was obtaining a Priv with a deathstar logo.. Lol
that's awesome news.
btw, a have a few bugs after the update. some status bar icons do not update. for example I'm more seeing battery at 60% but if i pull down notifications it shows 58%
already rebooted and cleared cache. next thing i will have to try a data reset...
anyone else experienced this bug?
Sent from my STV100-1 using XDA-Developers mobile app
living a little longer with the bug, it is the pull down that is actually late on updates.
it updates correctly only after I pull it down completely. the actual status bar is always correct, thankfully.
maybe because I disabled some crap from hub shenanigans?
