Is there a security update available after 6.01? I seen mention on a Google search that Samsung released an update to fix some of the problems with marshmallow. I've also seen a few people mention it here. After flashing the Poland XEO files I quickly flashed TWRP so I can't tell if there's another update.

Hi there,
Like some people I installed the leaked 4.2.2 update for my Note 8 wifi. I'm curious when the official version comes out for my country (usa) will it show up as an official OTA update or will I have to manually install it?

More than likely you'll have to install it manually. It's very rare that you will see an OTA for an unofficial leaked build.

Has anyone in the UK managed to download this new update I tried manual update from settings but says maximum roll out exceeded so it says try kies but when I connect my phone nothing comes up about any updates.

What update? Can you be a bit more specific? Nothing showing for the UK for some time on sammobile.
I don't know what update it is just when I click on update on my phone says maximum number succeeded please try later or on kies but there have been few other people on here in the UK say the same thing

The easiest thing to do would be to list your current firmware. Then we can tell you if its the latest or if you are a behind. I think NB8 is the latest stock BTU UK firmware.

Yeah. Lots of people reporting the same thing unfortunately.
I already have the latest version just that when you click on device and update it tells you maximum number of updates rolled out but like other people say there must be a problem with Samsung server.

Can you now pull the update from sammobile and install with odin yourself?
Got it now, only 16mb was wanting to know what it does? Never mind installing now.
Still 4.4.2 and is now I9505XXUFNB9
Yeah I just got it as well nothing major just a stability software update.

I just seen NB9 released too, what a load of rubbish. Other countries are rolling out much newer firmware and we get a minor patch made back in February,,,
The latest German firmware NF1 had a June date.
Good old uk always second to last.

If it makes you feel any better I've tried loads of stock and custom firmware on my UK btu handset and have always come back to fnb8 UK stock as it's the most stable to date. So the fact that other counties have "more up to date" firmware versions is really not important because they bring no extra features and just add problems. E.g. nge5 and ngf1 (the latest firmwares) have random reboots meaning that I can't even walk down the street listening to music because halfway through a song it will cut out and reboot.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. I'd say stick with fnb8 until they release a firmware with new features (maybe when Android L is released).
Hi guy's, does the 16mbt patch fix anything??? Otherwise I agree that fnb8 is pretty good for me, any feedback? Thanks

Hi guys, hopefully I'm not the only one with this problem. Is there anyway to update my Note 4 to 5.1.1? OTA doesn't work.
Download "OTA updates" app for rooted devices on the app store

go to sammobile to download official 5.1.1 and use odin to flash update
Since you've rooted it works that no longer update via Kies or OTA . As has already written the previous SamMobile download the appropriate software and flash itself
Hey I wanted to install the nougat firmware on my s7 edge. I got the phone from Australia on a plan from vodafone. I have already downloaded firmware from a mega link, i was wondering if someone can give me a quick run through on where each file goes and after the firmware installs does it trip knox and will i get OTA updates

Follow these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-...word-links-t3497078/post69558512#post69558512
Though you should download the latest version of Odin, 3.12.3.
And no, it won't trip Knox. OTA updates, no one knows yet. The beta will only last a few months anyway until they release it.
So i have to flash all 4 files with odin and if i wanted to go back to my stock vodafone firmware i would just flash it with odin again.

If you have carrier I think the best way is to keep your CSC.
Import three files AP, BL and CP into odin and add original CSC (don't flash the csc from nougat)
Thats what i did, i restarted a few times and it seemed to fix it now i just gotta fix the battery drain

Hi.
Today I received a new update. I downloaded it but I doubt that having packages deactivated with Adshel could cause some error.
What you think?
Sent from my SM-G950F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
should just enable app the apps and then after the update disable all again . This is what i always did for updating
Lucky you with update, i have not seen 1 update since november, before that aug.
